The various sub-classes for Wizard in the Player's Handbook are focused on a single school. In particular, Abjuration is Abjurer and Diviner is Divination.
If you are looking for an Elementalist, (fire wizard) there is a feat Elemental Adept.
It's not quite the same thing, but every school of magic has a corresponding subclass you can pick at lvl 2. You'll get a few extra abilities related to that school.
I'd like to take up the Necromancy specialization. But I don't know how to put that on my character building...
You choose your "Arcane Tradition" at 2nd level. However, to gain access to the School of Necromancy, you will need to have access to the appropriate source book.
You would need to purchase the PHB on this site, yes. If you're low on cash or unsure about how much you want to spend on a new hobby, if you go to the PHB page in the marketplace, you can purchase just the one subclass you're interested in. Likewise, you can purchase spells singly or as a group within a given book.
