How have we gotten this far into DDB development and we still don't have access to a complete FR world map on the DDB site? All we have are random snapshots of small areas around the Sword Coast. This just seems bonkers to me that after paying for all the content, I still don't get a basic map of the whole land.
DDB devs, please add all pertinent maps to the paid content, including full world maps. Thank you.
In SCAG there is pretty large map, but the reason why there isn’t a full map is, frankly, there isn’t one for 5e! No books for this edition have been made by WotC with a full map of Faerun, though I bet there’s some that you could find online from older editions.

D&D Beyond provides the content that is offered in the books that you purchase. There are various Sword Coast maps found in various books, all of which are presented in high resolution with varying labels.
There is no generic Sword Coast map offered because there is no generic Sword Coast map 'book' or option.
Sword Coast Adventurers Guide has the map that covers the largest section of Faerun for 5e so far. It is also the map you can download from WotC's website. Another large map can be found in chapter 3 of Storm King's Thunder, and a large-ish Sword Coast map can be found in Hoard of the Dragon Queen.
Thank you for your response. On pages 4 and 5 (Preface) of the Sword Coast Adventurer's Guide hardcopy book, there is a high quality map of the Sword Coast spanning from The Spine of the World in the north down to the Forest of Tethir in the south and from the Moonshae Isles in the west all the way to Cormyr in the east. But this map is not included in the digital version of SCAG on DDB. Why was the Preface omitted (including that map) from the digital version?
Before making the switch from hardcopy to digital books, the map found in the Preface of SCAG was, by far, my most 'referred to' map while adventuring in FR. Now that we're all restricted to playing virtually (covid), we are missing this incredibly well-made map on the digital platform. Sure, you can find and download a pirated map simply by googling it. I just don't understand why DDB wouldn't maintain an official map since it actually was included in the hardcopy.
You can view the preface of SCAG (and the map, along with it) by clicking the "View Preface" button in the contents. It's to the right of the description and "View Cover Art" button, and right above the "Classes" box in the contents.
There is an official high resolution map of the Sword Coast that was put out by WOTC a few years ago. The Sword Coast & The North are really the only large scale maps that have been published. However, since the map was not published in a book, it is not going to be found on D&D Beyond as others have stated. Can be found with a quick search for Sword Coast map.
Additionally, there was a project more recently that tried to update all points of interest from newer material. Should come up as a Reddit thread on the same search.
