We are a group of four mildly chaotic but very friendly Players looking for a DM (18+). We've been playing together for quite a while and would be stoked to have some new company.
To get to know each other, we'd like you to run us through a one-shot.
We know the rules and already have quite a bit of experience when it comes to both roleplaying and combat. We're also open for both homebrew and established settings. Are you interested? Answer this thread or contact me (LUE#2045) or Saes (Saesenthessis#5328) on discord and we can make this work! :)
Greetings

Hi- would you 4 be interested in doing a pbp through discord with my two remaining players? Level is 17 hoping to reach 20. It was the "mildly chaotic" that made me think you would mesh well into our story. To our surprise, our 4-week adventure turned into a year-long three-part adventure. Fine if you decide to just play a bit and then drop off. The game starts in late October or the first of November and would ask that you post at least every other day to discord unless you let us know you need us to wait for you to be available. Two of the players would like to continue the story we started- a fighter/wizard and a tabaxi monk. It began as a pirate-themed adventure. The two remaining characters both chose to start schools with all their wealth to better people's lives and pass on what they know. I am looking for players that can join them in their quest to end the threat of these chained and bound gods erupting back into this plane. They will be traveling to the land of Amn- a place where magic is illegal and watching your back is necessary in every exchange. We will start in the area around or in Candlekeep (Your character would be picked up in this area.)
We are five years after their defeat of an Adult Red Dragon Lich- formally Hoorndarrh, who was a bane to Mintarn. Their hook so far is: With the help of friends/ fellow pirates the two have gotten a chunk of Tiamat's nest off the plane and discovered the source of that fragment; defeated ancient Aboleths; seen the eye of Ghaunadaur in the sky; foiled a plan by Yeenoghu, and just discovered that the God Cyric may be involved in all the events of their recent lives. The year is 1483 at this time... You all know that during the Spellplague's End Ao caused the time of upheaval... (The Tablets of Fate were destroyed and many upheavals occurred as the worlds/Realms of Toril and Abeir grow closer a situation that became worse at the God of Magic's death). The world only just recovered but 3 years ago from these events. Having gotten rid of the chunk of Tiamat's nest, completed the mission of the Wave Dancer from 100 years ago, and solving the puzzle of Hoorndarrh, two - Crashes Against Rocks, the tabaxi monk, and Iren, the fighiting wizard,- still have questions. They need to seek the advice of the clerics of Ao and if the past is prologue, they need help...
I have DM'd for more years than I wish to count (makes me feel old) in older and 5e D&D, Champions, Starwars, and White Wolf products- Well over 18 yrs old. Rule 1: Be Kind. Rule 2: I will get things wrong, but I am the boss. So, respectful questions and reminders are okay, but once I made a decision it is done. Rule 3: No Harassment. And its corollary, once you are asked to stop something it stops immediately. You don't need to explain yourself and they do not need to convince you. It is simple, it just stops.
You are a team; no, you cannot steal party stuff because you are a thief nor kill the party member just because your barbarian is mad. If PVP is not completely story-driven (You must save them from the suggestion spell, so you knock them out; You have been ordered by the captain to steal that heirloom pocket watch.) then a big fat NO to it. The group will decide in our first run if players can hide/do minor things - pick up an extra coin or switch an empty cup for a full one that sort of thing. No, you cannot hide the swashbuckler's favorite sword or the caster's component pouch those things are personal to a character and you, as a good teammate, would not touch them (at least not until they are truly dead).
Let me know if you are interested - we could run a "gather you four" week to see if our styles mesh. Discord Minajustiza4972

Hey added you on Discord!
We're still looking - for a casual experience, though. Not paid. Potentially just one one-shot. If we like each other maybe a campaign.
