My names James, I'm new to D&D beyond. Played D&D on and off for about 15 years. Looking to get back into it after a long brake, hoping to find something regular that i could really sink my teeth into.
I've had a character in the works for quite sometime now, that i, using D&D beyond, have finally managed to put to paper.
The characters name is Balthazar. He is a Tiefling, Rogue lvl 4 / Bard lvl 1, Who relies on his silver tongue , slight of hand and knack for illusion. to con, swindle and whore his way around the world. Leaving a trail of mayhem and scorned individuals in his wake.
I have been working on this character for a long time now, originally going to be a character in a fiction i was working on, but i fell so in love with the character, that i can't bring myself to simply write about him and would love to get the chance to walk a mile in his shoes.
Most of my D&D experience is as a DM, but i've always been just as passionate about playing characters in other peoples worlds, as creating my own.
In truth i have a small group of first timers, irl, who are considering picking up the D20 and giving it a roll. So i would relish the opportunity to brush up on my skills, while at the same time, scratch that itch that only playing a character can.
If the irl game does take off, and i stress if, i assure you it wont get in the way of me and any campaign i find myself lucky enough to be involved with.
Once again, my name is James, and if you think Balthazar might have a home in your campaign, then i look forward to hearing from you.
PS: I am more then willing to start the character at Level 1, if need be, lvl 5 was the minimum i could make him, to have him how i want him. But i'm happy to earn my way up to that, if that's what would work best for the DM the campaign.
To be honest. Other then myself, who could be easily persuaded, not really no... Unfortunately. Otherwise i'd have someone to DM a campaign that i could also play in, with my new character.
well me and a friend were hoping to get a dm we have a small group of potential other players and we were both wanting to play as players. we didn't have a lot in mind for the story of the campaign but we were hoping we could find a dm who could help us with that.
Nice. Well its not what i was looking for, but that's kinda what D&D is all about, the unexpected. Let me have a look into how we'd go about playing it online, Are their any services you would recommend? Skype, roll20 etc?
Most of my experience is running games in person, so i'm kind of new to doing this online. looking into a few options at the moment
