Game: D&D 5e Group type: Online (Discord with FoundryVTT) My Experience: 8 Years 3.5e, 5 Years 5e/3 Years GM Experience Welcome: New / a few years / experienced Location/Timezone: EST. Cost: Free Discord: You can reach me at Acheron#7102 to chat/apply or DM here on DnDBeyond. Roles sought: Players Length: Long Term Games Language: Fluent and understandable English Age: 21+ Current Schedule: Ghosts of Saltmarsh or Rime of the Frostmaiden (We'll take a vote on which) (Sundays from 2pm to (4-5 hours average) Resources We Use: Full legendary content sharing on DnDBeyond, 24/7 FoundryVTT server, custom made realistic 3d and animated maps made by us as well as stuff we’ve purchased and also gathered from other map making artists. We have what seems to be unlimited tokens, and more. For sound effects we use Syrinscape, and other audio players. Game style: The style of our games are a balance of combat, roleplay, puzzles, etc.. Some sessions have only one combat encounter and sometimes more depending. I use audio effects, and music extensively. Although I am not a voice actor, I do my best with accents, tones, mannerisms, etc. If you're looking for Critical Roll quality, look elsewhere. We have day jobs. Some games will be amazing, some might be just ok, it depends on how players use the framework that I provide and interact with it. I don't handhold, and I expect you to ask the "Where, When, What, Why, and How" questions from NPCs to move the game forward. If players immerse and interact then you'll be able to enjoy a living world sandbox full of exploration, political intrigue, backstory immersive, heavy roleplay, ability to find love, build a business or empire, gain NPC, Faction, and Companion renown, and more. Interacting with the world creates synergy and chain reactions of fun that lead to great group story telling. This is really the only way you'll get the most out of the game.
Rules: No meta-gaming, we all come out of character to laugh at something or be in awe about something, but we all come back in game quickly.
Please don't tell a player how to play their character or argue with them, and definitely do not argue with the GM. If I/We run a spell or mechanic wrong, miscommunicate, cross a line, etc. then PM the GM after game and I'll do the research to put the argument to bed. GM gets the final say to help the continuity of game play.
Think you know D&D better than anyone else? That's great, here's your trophy, now keep it to yourself, D&D is not about winning a prize for how much free time you have on your hands.
No Min-Maxing, Exploiting Multi-classed combinations, Sentinel feat, Polearm Master Feat, Lucky Feat, No Tashas. Rolling a 1 is a 1 no matter what, we also use Critical Fail and Success tables.
No talking over people but please speak up and try not to be shy. If we see that you only say a few words during the whole session then we'll have to find a new player. It just signifies that you're not into the game enough and are probably on your phone or doing other tasks in parallel. It's honestly just rude and disrespectful to the hard work GMs put into the game. If you're bored, then most of the time it's because you/we aren't interacting enough with our surroundings. I give everyone a plethora of things to interact with and I try to appeal to everyone's goals.
Be positive and upbeat. We have a happy group, please don't put anyone down. Be kind and mature, manners are definitely a thing in my games. If you get kicked out without being talked to first, then 98% of the time it's because you hurt someone's feelings or disrespected the GM in a big way (everyone has sensitive triggers, some more than others).
Games:
Ghosts of Saltmarsh or Rime of the Frostmaiden (long-term games) & Small Adventures (usually longer than a one-shot). Sometimes we take a break from the main game and switch to a fun short story.
Liking your code of conduct and clear communication, prioritizing the balance of fun collaboration and rules. If there’s still room at the table I would be very interested. experienced player & DM, not a rules lawyer, love to bring characters to life and provoke options. Ifandorbut#8553
Long time player/DM have run/played several multi year groups sa well as countless one shost looking to get back into it after long absence.

basicly looking for good clean fun to stop my brain from melting from this lock down lol
Yo I sent a friend request to Discord, interested in this game. Fairly new to being a player though I know how to play as I have been a DM. I agree with all of your rules regarding metagaming and rules lawyering.
Thanks everyone for the replies and emails. We're currently full, but like anything "online" people come and go. I'll reach out if we need another player in the future. Some of you I've already responded to DMs on here. Hope to see you in the future.
