Game: Lost Mine Of Phandelver module Grouptype: Online (Discord/DnDBeyond/Roll20) Experience: ~12 years with 4e, 3.5, Pathfinder 1e, and 5e Timezone: EST Schedule: Saturday, 1 pm EST
This is a more combat heavy module, you have been warned. I plan on mitigating that partially as to reduce monotony by homebrewing and using your character backgrounds as a motivation for adventure and sidequesting if players wish. For me it is about your journey as an individual character and as a group then *the adventure.* I've run this as written, I like mixing it up a great deal and having a bit of expectation subversion. I want the group to have fun, if the group would rather spend a session playing some ridiculous cards and doing arm wrestling and doing karaoke, by all means it please go for it.
Session and Campaign Length My plan is for sessions to be 3-4 hours long, I want to ultimately run a levels 1 to 20 campaign, but after each arc (levels 1-5, 6-10, 11-15, 16-20), I plan to have a conversation with the group about taking a break, if we want to continue, and weekly check ups about improvements and strengths of the game.
What I Am Looking For I'm looking for polite, empathic players who support other players and just want to have a bit of fun in a fantasy world. Note taking PCs would be great, but I understand if that's not possible. My biggest dream of players is that their roleplaying is cooperative and allows others to take part. Not knowing the rules to me doesn't matter at all, it's more about telling a story together, and creating memories as a group, and maybe even becoming friends.
