Game: D&D 5e Group Type: Online Experience: Any (New/A few years/Veteran) Timezone: Based in EST, but all zones welcome Schedule: This is a west march-style campaign based on players scheduling sessions. I post quests that players organize with each other to complete. Quests can be scheduled any time during a 9am-1am EST time frame. Roles Sought: Players (Due to the style of this campaign, there is not a specific number of slots. AKA Any number of people interested can join) Game Style: Moderate Roleplaying with a mix of challenging combat in an interactive and constantly changing world. Free or Paid?: Both! You can join to play for free where you can play up to four sessions per month. Or if you want to play more sessions in a month you can pay $50 for unlimited sessions. In both scenarios you get a session 0 that is free to make a character and get a feel for the mechanics of the campaign.
Primer: Welcome recruits to the Aramoorian Fighter's Guild. We're in the midst of the 3rd Era right after what people in the world call "The Great Shake" kicking off an age of discovery. New powers are being discovered and are vying to find their place on the growing world stage. While no major world powers currently stand, countries are looking to either grow their power militarily, technologically, or politically causing events to constantly change the world. The Aramoorian Fighter's Guild is a small guild of mercenaries working under the country of Aramoor and the heroic Guildmaster Barak. They simply seek to grow the guild's influence and assist their host country of Aramoor while accruing fame and wealth. They seek any person who desires to grow their fame, wealth, and ability. Are you able to rise to the challenge?
--Campaign Info-- The Aramoorian Fighter's Guild is a quest-based campaign that utilizes interactive storytelling to build out the world which player choices have a heavy hand in guiding. I utilize discord as the hub for many out of game elements, including posting quests, the store players can purchase from, and where players can chat to each other both in character and out. There is constantly growing lore both from players and my own writing that players can learn. Every player starts out at level 1 as an Associate rank and has the chance to rise to the rank of Champion. The way this campaign is structured is that I post quests (similar to quests in any RPG you may play or one-shot style) every week on Mondays that can take from 1-5 hours to complete depending on the quest and factors such as player amount and combat. The players organize the quests based on what they want to accomplish or do. The quest board is persistent in that quests generally won't disappear week-to-week if they aren't accomplished. There is not any consistency in player level as it scales based on how much someone plays. It's a get what you risk/give situation using DnD's XP system. Dying as a character is a very real possibility as the world is dangerous when one is not careful and holds many dangers that can kill even the toughest of characters if one is not careful. This also allows one to take comfort that if you get bored of a character you can simply retire your active one and make a new one based on a new idea or archetype you may encounter. The Fighter's Guild is a place where players can craft a story around their character and attempt to achieve their goals as a character with others working beside you. Every choice can matter and even the lowest of ranks could have big impacts on the world around them.
