About the DM: I have been dming for 2 years and currently looking to host campaigns settings differ from your usual sword and magic euro fantasy. As a DM I like to create strange worlds and see players exploring it gradually learning the lore and hurdles that comes with it and see how they react to each of them, it is what allows me to "play" as a DM. I personally dislike killing off my players and death should be rare unless with the combination of bad decision and bad luck.
Sildani
Sildani, a world where warforged were once created by ancient tinkerers as tools of war. In time, kingdoms grew increasingly reliant on these machines, leading to armies made up almost entirely of warforged instead of organics. However, after years of being used as weapons, the machines grew tired of war and eventually rebelled, bringing down the system that had once enslaved them and waged war recklessly. Now, in a world where warforged reigns, the machines have sworn to keep the peace and protect their former masters. Throughout the world enormous, walled settlements were built for the organics, where all their needs are fulfilled in a hedonistic society, creating a new way of life that many have come to accept as the norm.
As adventurers, you either refused to be pampered like a pet, got into trouble with the local authority or simply sought the thrill of life and death outside the confines of your bird cage. No matter the reason, you have decided to leave your city, venturing into the world outside the walls.
Campaign details
Steampunk & solarpunk themed.
Semi-open world, your party is free to roam the world or focus on solving the story.
Recommended to play as non-constructs (non-warforged, non-autognome) as machines disconnected from their central intelligence are hunted by other machines.
A majority of the settlements are controlled by warforged where registered citizens are prohibited from leaving but with all their needs met. These settlements are controlled by each independent central intelligence, a giant node of warforged processing unit which all warforged in the settlement are connected to. There are also some small settlements mostly made up of organics who refuse to be pampered by machines and semi-hostile machines that have disconnected from central intelligence.
Sometimes the machines will employ the service of adventurers to aid in matters that their programming cannot perform.
Some might enjoy the servitude of the machines within their bird cage, while some strive for true freedom, will you help the Warforged to maintain their utopian society? Or will you fight for organics freedom?
