You were just a child when it happened-- amidst young dreams something distant shattered and spilled its fragments into your mind carried through by the dark tendrils of a supernatural mist. A reflective shard of glass pierced your dreamself and you woke up changed... and hunted...
Since that fateful dream you have been followed, stalked by a figure existing only on the edge of your vision, a permanent specter growing closer and closer with the passing of time. And when you're finally sure it will hold back no longer-- another dream, a summons, the whispering of a witch who promises you answers if you would only step through the looking glass...

Who Am I?
Hi my name is Keegan (They/Them) a long term tabletop roleplayer, with nearly a decade of tabletop experience. I got into tabletop with Pathfinder, migrated to D&D5th and have had a lot of experience with the narrative game space primarily with Powered By The Apocalypse games. Something about 5E always brings me back, for the most part to Raventloft where I've run five campaigns.
I excel in the space of text-games, adding to my sessions with a massive library of maps and artwork, using my own skill in Photoshop to help customize those assets for the campaign. This includes sound effects, ambience, and other special effects to really maximize immersion.
My campaigns, even premade modules, tend toward heavy customization for the players to meet their expectations for the game. So no game is ever run the same.
About the Game.
We’ll be running a homebrew domain of dread-- within the frigid lands of Kolm inspired by the geography and mythology of the nordic nations meet dark fairy-tales with a gothic horror spin you will find yourself fighting for your lives against the terrible Shattered Queen. Clockwork soldiers, a city of bells, and the dreaded crying knight are just some of the challenges to be overcome as you battle to escape the mists of Ravenloft!
Her Dark Reflection is a horror campaign and I lean into the quiet heavily with theming, there will be levity in the campaign and table banter is a thing, but I will always keep things pushing the envelope as far as maintaining a dark story-driven campaign. This does mean that the campaign is **18+.**
This is a **Level 3 to Level 10~ campaign** - there is a lot of content and it might scale further with player approval.
I consider myself a primarily story driven DM, I tend to alternate combat and roleplay and would describe the game as **70/30 Roleplay/Combat**.
I’d consider campaign inspirations as:
Folktales: Vasilisa, Baba Yaga, The Ice Queen.
Novels: The Hunchback of Notredame, Snow White, Through the Woods: Stories, Cursed: An Antholog
Games: Amnesia Series, Alice: Madness Returns, Dark Souls
Characters!
The game will include space for the inclusion of your backstories right from the get go, something I love doing is tying in characters to what they’re playing and giving unique arcs to each player.
For character options, I allow ALL published material, ALL up to date Unearthed Arcana, and a selection of approved homebrew. Other homebrew is allowed if run by me first, and I will adjust for balance.
If you present an evil PC I expect you’ll be able to play with the party sufficiently to complete the campaign.
The Players.
I want regular sessions, this means a minimum of 3 sessions a month attended with an expected 4~ hour sessions (extendable with table agreement; without a last minute drop. With warning in advance all reasonable allowance will be given for missed sessions
This game is LGBTQ+ and BIPOC friendly and will be inclusive in the worldbuilding, triggers will be discussed and safety tools implemented to protect players. I want my games to be safe.
The System.
The game will be run through your browser, using The Foundry system. A very advanced virtual tabletop which allows such things animated maps and tokens, dynamic vision and sound, and community developed modules that allow a greater narrative control/
If they're still space I'm interested in joining The session sounds interesting and the themes are something I've been wanting to try out I want to run a druid with a unique home brewed subclass inspired by circle of the Moon but focusing more on the wild shape by adding a hybrid form for smaller areas and using the monster Hunter monster manual if that's okay there are some small changes to help balance out the character of course and I can explain in greater detail if requested
Anything You'd Like To Share About Yourself: I'm a big fan of horror and story-heavy campaigns where characters can fully develop and grow, and become 'real'. I'm in the same time zone as you so that makes things easy for me. I've really been missing roleplaying and want to get back to it!
Gaming Experience: Over 10 years' experience roleplaying (mainly on Tumblr) and 2 previous D&D campaigns, though I've never used Foundry. It looks really cool!
What Kind Of Games Do You Like?: I mostly like MMOs , I'm currently playing BDO on the side with a few gacha games.
Character
Handle(And pronoun): Kali Vallaia (she/her)
Class Role Concept: Necromancer
Backstory Elevator Pitch: Born in an ancient family of Necromancers, Kali was the oldest and most magically-attuned sibling out of three. Despite her talent for magic, she despised the art of necromancy and avoided using spells and incantations unless necessary. At first glance she seemed cowardly and weak, a walking ball of anxiety, but her heart was full of love for all life. And yet, she worked in a morgue - the family's 'undercover' business - until she was executed by the youngest sibling who drank her blood, thinking her talent would transfer to them. Once she was found by the middle sibling, she was 'resurrected' but the magic was flawed due to the emotional distress of its creator. Kali's body was reanimated but she lost her sight. Later on, she developed the ability to see the lingering spirits of the deceased; she realized she could communicate and form relationships with them. She also found out that her vision was not entirely gone - she could see the outlines of people's souls and the residual energy left by them on items/roads etc. After her death, most of her magic was gone and she's currently relearning everything after coming to the conclusion that, just like life, death too craves to be loved.
You were just a child when it happened-- amidst young dreams something distant shattered and spilled its fragments into your mind carried through by the dark tendrils of a supernatural mist. A reflective shard of glass pierced your dreamself and you woke up changed... and hunted...

There was as scheduling issue with the initial group for this campaign so it is back and open for applications.
We're about half way through new player recruiting, still looking for two more players!
