Game: D&D 5e Group type: Online Experience: a few years / veteran Location/Timezone: CST is what our group is passed off of Schedule: Weekly Saturday 2pm until 7pm Roles sought: 1 Player (Cleric or main healer) Game style: Healthy mix of combat, roleplaying, survival, exploration, dungeoneering, and realism
Description:
The world of Faerûn is bracing for an auspicious event being referred by the scholars as the Blood Moon. This event which has little records dating back thousands of years, the records that were found refer to days blanketed in a reddish darkness and horror.
As the days keep going by the sky across the Sword Coast is starting to have more of a red hue, and across the land small villages and towns are reporting regular attacks by undead.
Some arcane and religious scholars are busy researching in hopes to find more clues. Others are praying to the gods for protection. While a small but growing majority are praying for heroes to come and save them from the Blood Moon.
Are you willing to take up the banner?
DM has been playing for 22 years starting in the A-Dnd era and playing primarily in the 3.5. He has recently made the switch to 5e but is an amazing DM.
We do have some specific rules that we have at our table, These are additional rules for the campaign
notes required, each player will have public note channel
Strive to balance RAW (rules as written) vs RAI (rules as intended, spirit of the rules)
Forgotten Realm lore from 2e to present, world is set in 1590 DR in Sword Coast (about 100yrs in the future from all publish 5e adventures)…no eberran, ravenloft, critical rolls.
More realistic take on how the world is (but still set in fantasy)
allowed races/subraces Elf - High, Wood (aka Sylvan, sub Wild), Dark Half-Elf Dragonborn Dwarf - Hill (aka Gold), Mountain (aka Shield) Gnome - Rock, Forest Half-Orc Halfling - Lightfoot, Stout Human Tiefling
subclasses have to make sense from your backstory
multi-classes has to make sense, I need to know lvls ahead of when you want to switch classes and it has to be role played into the story
backstories must be written out explaining how you became the class you did and eventual subclass and approved to ensure characters are fleshed and accurately follows Forgotten Realm lore.
The world reacts to players and the decisions they make and things they say (or don’t say) and do (or don’t do)…the world remembers…
THE MONSTERS KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING, SOME ARE AS SMART OR SMARTER THEN PLAYERS
