Game: D&D 5e Group type: Face-to-face Experience: A few years. I took some time off from gaming and DM'ing due to things going on in my life and am trying to get back into playing. Location/Timezone: I'm trying to find players in Oceanside, CA but am okay with people from the surrounding areas (Carlsbad, Camp Pendleton, La Jolla, etc.) joining if you're willing to come on up. Schedule: We're trying to run it either friday evenings (around 6pm) or during the weekend for between 2-3 hours each game. Depending on the participants, we could figure out a time that works best but I want it to be one of those 3 days and weekly if possible. Roles sought: Players. Looking for 1 to 2 players to join a group of 2. The campaign hasn't started yet either. Game style: The story premise is that it'll be a 2-parter. It'll start as a prequel during the last war with level 8 PCs before transitioning into a normal campaign with your characters starting at level 2 several years post-war. You would be able to use your same character if you so choose but know that they will be weakened (you can even switch classes if you want). I don't have any limits on race or class and I do use some homebrew and 3rd party resources for the Eberron setting. If you want, I don't mind using discord to put up pictures of things/characters you'll encounter. There will be some adult themes (slavery, for example) but I don't want anything weird going on in game so be respectful to each other. Crude humor can be alright but there are lines, times, and places for that so just try to be smart about it. I really want my players to have a good time, so please let me know if you have any questions/concerns.
As for style, I'm trying to run a campaign that's geared around travel, diplomacy, hard crime, and various forms of corruption. I have an overall story in mind, but the players actions can really influence where I take things. Outside of the initial setting up of the setting and plot, I would like for the players to make decisions on where they want to go. This won't be a sandbox campaign, but I will give you all a variety of hooks and you can choose to pursue whichever you want.
