Greeting all to the game known as Lost Lords. A Custom Homebrew world and story that has been in the making for many years. At last, I am ready to bring it to you all. I am searching for a grand group of awesome, creative, and passionate individuals to join in this adventure! This journey will take you across the sea to one of many nations that reside in the world of Montel. The island nation of Destern awaits!
The game will take place EVERY FRIDAY NIGHT except on holidays, emergencies or stated otherwise and each game will have a run time of 3 to 4 hours depending. Expectations for missing or being late should be communicated ahead of time, at least an hour before the session if possible.
I am looking for serious devoted players who want to have fun, grow their skills in D&D, and build comradery among each other. To ensure this I Promise as your DM, will be forward with the players and ensure the area is fun for everyone. If a conflict does arise I will ensure to take the appropriate action when needed.
I will be using Discord for voice and webcams, a Discord working music botand foundry or roll20 for battle maps.
A lot of love and time has been put into making this game and many short test sessions have been done to ensure it is the best it can be. I'm planning this to be a grand-scale interwoven story, that layers political intrigue and conspiracy, moral dualism, human existence, genre innovations, volatile plot hooks, and an entire world built around player interaction where YOU decide where the story is going. This campaign is something I can't wait to share with you all.
For those hoping to join, know this. The Lost lords campaign is aimed to run for about 12+ months minimum and aims to take characters to their maximum potential (Level 20+). As such, I am taking this recruitment and interview process VERY seriously!
Requuirments
- you must be 18+.
- The age requirement is set due to the overall themes being covered and to ensure a level of maturity in the game.
- A good quality microphone/headset is needed.
-Webcams are required. active during all sessions ( if not comfortable with this i understand ) From DMing in person and online I feel not being able to see each other hinders a lot of what makes D&D great.
- Active in game and talking. You not participating does bot help.
about The Campaign
Destern is a small island nation that was taken over by the Destern family. the land is stained by the blood of the genocide of the natives of this land about 570 years ago. outside of that. Destern is a nation broken up into 7 sections. 6 of those 7 sections are ruled by appointed lifetime leaders but in the middle of the nation, the Destern family lies. where they rule over each section with full power. These 6 other rulers are seen as close advisers to the king. The nation maintains its standing within the world due to a rare gem that grows within the mountains of the land. These gems give an unnatural s trength increase to magic and can act as a battery.
Within the starting nation, players will jointly pick a starting scenario they want. Each scenario will only be given a name. 1. Harvest
Party night 3. Wrong is right and right is wrong 4. riutal
story & setting:
- The story and setting of this Campaign are entirely homebrew and have many different stories laid out in the world.
- The goal of the game is you. Keeping your curiosity, questioning, and thinking is the plan. Also, instilling a feeling of realism, fear, and spectacular wow in you. Discovering your character, your limits, and your creativity is what I am hoping to do. Maybe a couple of tears too.
- The land you will be going to is known as Destern. the smallest nation within Montel. Don't let the size of the nation confuses you though, there are many powerful people, monsters, and things within the land waiting for you.
- You will be starting at Level 5.
Campaign features:
- handcraft new gods and Deities to worship.
- over a dozen factions, organizations, and syndicates for you to join or be at odds with.
- over 35 plus cities, towns, and settlements to travel and explore.
- new and custom monsters and NPCs.
- a complex and serious stories that will take your action into account.
- There Is no helping hand in this, it's up to you and your fellow party members to discover the secrets that dwell within the campaign.
- Real consequences! This world has no oops/ or reckons.. Your actions, all of them, will determine the fate of not only your characters. Saying something, being at the wrong place at the wrong time, or the party taking too long to take action, might very well spell death…
- This is not a module, and this is not a linear path through the woods. The world is constantly evolving and changing based on the actions of the players. What you do influences everything, and you might very well be looking at the ashes of an entire city if you picked a fight with the wrong people and needed an extra long rest.
- player secretive info. This means that aside from class, all players will keep their characters secret/private until they unveil them through the storyline. Your backstory is yours, and you will dictate how your story is told.
- Death can and will happen if you are not ready. I don't hold my punches.
- The separation of Fantasy and real-life aspects. This campaign is never meant to reflect modern/real-life aspects. some stuff will not add up, and that’s on purpose.
- Combat will never be about how much damage I do, Combat and roleplay are one and the same! a focuses on excitement and constant challenges for players mentally and physically.
- Gathering information to any degree in this campaign will almost always come from world interaction, not just asking the DM. The less you ask the DM, and the more you ask an NPC–the better the overall story. Exceptions can always be made.
Scheduling:
- Sessions will be hosted every Friday night. If you are part of this campaign be ready to play
- Exceptions are always made for life events or serious circumstances.
- Constant calling off, being late, or no shows will be removed from the game.
Rules, Terms & Conditions:
- most important Respect, Kindness, and honesty. Three pillars that make up my game.
- a general sense of does, maybes and don'ts will be done after a party is made.
- Milestone Leveling. The players will level according to the story and events.
- No restrictions on official content, within reason. As for unofficial content, If you want something bad enough in the campaign, pitch it to me.
- Homebrew doesn’t mean anything goes.
Table Etiquette:
- be active. It's not hard to be active and alive in the game. If you can't, then i'll show you to the door.
- Be willing to listen to others and grow. emotions might flare up. We are all here to have fun but with new people meeting, different ideals, and cultures or personal things will make friction sometimes. so listen before saying anything.
- Communication is key. Poor scheduling and bad communication is the biggest killer of D&D campaigns. Keeping communication open and active is important. If you’re someone who likes to manipulate your image to others or is found untrustworthy you will be removed.
- Give! This! Your! All! DMs hearing the excitement and joy of players before and during a game makes the DM want to DM so much better. but, the most important thing is you. putting your best foot forward is the starting point. This is a show. so give it your all.
- Pay attention and respect everyone's time. This is crucial. Many of us set aside this time because we want to play. so don't waste it. We all have other matters we could be doing.
- trouble player behaviors. Do you find yourself hogging the spotlight/air every session? Are you someone who constantly talks over others? Are you selfish about the story and really only care about where your character is going every episode? Are you hoarding all the gold and being a murder hobo? If so, do not waste my time.
