I am based in the UK, sessions will most likely be on Sundays, Mondays or Tuesdays depending on what works best.
Heya, Names Sam, If your reading this that means you must have some interest in my campaign, I’m looking for 5 players, with characters who have a good variety in role, class and personality.
The campaign is set around your characters waking up away from home, discovering they have been held captive by…someone? For some reason they do not know, it will have a focus on roleplay and adventure however will have a decent bit of combat depending on player action.
I’m planning to add character backstories to the main story to try and make your characters importance more prevalent. Players must use the 2024 players handbook races and classes, if you do not have, I could possibly create your character for you. Each player will be interviewed before I decide on the final five.
Players must be generally kind, not just tolerate but be accepting of others. LGBTQ+ friendly and all that. You can be mean to other characters, just not other players, this gotta be a safe space for everyone.
I’ve got a few details about the lore for each race, so READ. :P
Races and kingdoms:
Humans: Hailing from the kingdom of Boretum, Humans are known for their resilience, versatility and teamwork. Humans are the most common race in Yelkree, their home kingdom of Boretum is the largest trade centre on the continent and provides a hub for all sorts of political meetings and sports events.
Halflings: Halflings and their kingdom of Haroten are both quite peaceful, their small stature has often caused Halflings to go under the radar throughout history, but despite this they tend to have a urge to adventure and seek glory, due to this Halfling structures are often less large due to their tendency to move from one place to another. Halflings also tend to have large extended families, with parents often handing their children into the care of grandparents so they can live out their life to the fullest while healthy.
Dwarfs: Hardy folk from the kingdom of Thrunnfel, Dwarfs believe in a strong sense of community and have a strong work ethic, their kingdom of Thrunnfel is in allegiance with the nearby kingdoms of Olp and Vorus known as the Stonepact
Goliaths: Ancestors of the ancient giants that were once plentiful in Yelkree, Goliaths now roam through the snowy north of Yelkree, the country of Vorus is quite a secretive one due to it’s location, most goliaths rarely leave the comforts of the Stonepact countries.
Rock Gnomes: Known for their crafting skills, Rock Gnomes Live in the country of Olp, their history has been intertwined with that of the dwarves over the years, working in tandem to create marvellous structures, Rock Gnomes however tend to have a stronger sense of individuality than Dwarves, and more of a taste for magic.
High Elves: High elves are from the great kingdom of Ferelin, a noble people who totally don’t think they are completely better than everyone else. High elves tend to focus on the arts and arcane, they are often seen as being very clean and proper, with their land having quite strict rules, especially for outsiders.
Wood Elves: Unlike their counterparts, Wood elves are more subdued in their nature, often preferring to tend to well…nature rather than any selfless mean.Living in the woods of Falor, Wood Elves have a very natural lifestyle, living off the land with often no proper structure to their society.
Forest Gnomes: Living in Falor with the Wood Elves, Forest Gnomses are tricky people, knowing how to live off the land and communicate with it Forest Gnomes however tend to have more structure than wood elves, living in small tribe like communities that often create complex farms.
Orcs: From the country of Vitenias Rest Orcs have had quite the unfortunate history, their previous nomadic lifestyle was often seen as primitive by the other races (besides halflings) and with their large appetites, Orcs were often seen as beasts that would tear through the lands they travelled through, due to this Orcs have been forces to Vitenias Rest, mostly against their will, the Nearby Drow outnumbering and often outmatching them in combat. However many orcs have adapted to this new lifestyle, creating strong unbreakable bonds with those they can trust.
Drow: Hailing from Alatha Drow are noble folk like their High Elven cousins, Drow are known for their ruthlessness, both in politics and in person, with a very large class divide Drow in high positions will almost never give up their position, However this perception of Drow is not entirely true, being more nurture than nature, as those that do not grow up in Alatha often have a more kind and generous outlook on life.
Dragonborn: Hailing from the Redwastes Dragonborn were once enslaved by the dragons that ruled the land, but after a hundred year rebellion they managed to free themselves, running to wherever they could find safety, due to their size and resemblance to dragons they have often found themselves pushed away from wherever they could find safety, nowadays, large dragonborn populations can be found in Vitenias Rest and Haroten.
Tieflings: Tieflings, otherwise known as hellspawn are people (Who can be from any other race) Touched by the hells, being born from either a person having intimacy with Feinds, or being born from other Tieflings, They are often shunned from society, having to find safety with those that have a similar circumstance, such as Orcs or Dragonborn.
Aasimar: The opposite of Tieflings, Aasimar are people of any race who have been touched by the divine, often their birth is seen as a gift from the gods, often seen as bringers of good, Aasimar often have life easy, being respected simply for what they are, even if they are not of Elven appearance, Aasimar even find themselves being given more leniency with both High elf and Drow, However Orcs, Dragonborn and Tieflings tend to dislike Aasimar for their ease of life.

Planning to make a few homebrew changes, and am not going to fully follow the rule book if it’s not necessary.
The only change I know I want is that for the Rangers “preferred enemy” feature the Hunters Mark they cast with it, does not require concentration (However, there can only be one hunter's mark up at once)
To get all this information to me, add my discord!
Name: Hello my name is Manuel discord lastrel5602 i sent you a friend request
Age: I am 28 years old
Pronouns: i am he/him
Silly fun fact: i play the alto Saxaphone and as such many my characters also learn to play an instrument but that is more a minor note than anything having to do with the core of my characters
Favourite dinosaur: T-Rex, basic I know but with how science has described them in the last year I can't help but picture a giant scaly chicken, which is awesome
Experience with DnD: i have known and played since i was a teenager, i fell off once i got into college and with the new 2024 PHB felt it was a good time to get back into it
What you’d want to see in a campaign: honestly i want to figure out how the new rules impact play and interactions in DnD so primarily i am looking for lore/worldbuilding and character interactions, i'm fine with getting into more mature topics both the echi type which i am fine fading to black and the more serious type for character interactions
What you’d not want to see in a campaign: everyone just being horny, i want an actual adventure and a story, i don't mind drawn out fights either,
Things I would like to know about your character idea (Can be changed of course):
Name: so I have a bunch of characters with names that are just descriptions of them, trust me it'll make sense if you see them
Age: all at least 20 with the oldest being an 80 year old elf
Pronouns: all males, he/him
Race: i have an elf who hates elfes, a human based of Escanor from the 7 deadly sins but rather than being OP his journey is to become OP, a dragonborn warlock who is a noble with family trouble and yes a pact with a female devil thats into him (he was inspired by anime) but is a more mature take on that role, an orc fighter who is an orphan and wants to prove himself as a top class adventurer and a Tiefling cleric that wants to prove to his goddess what is the pinnacle a mortal can become
Class(and future subclass): the elf is/will be a divination wizard, the human an oath of vengeance paladin, the dragonborn a fiend pact warlock, the orc a champion fighter and the Tiefling is a war domain cleric
Likes: they all have their specific likes usually other people that don't treat them like lessers
Dislikes: they all have their specific dislikes, usually other people that treat them like lessers
Personality: all of my characters have neutral and some even evil alignments but they are not jerks i cannot stress this enough, they are evil because of what they are willing to do or how easily they are willing to do things not because they are psychopaths, they are not murder hobos, they are just willing to act like them
Flaws: all of my characters have the same motif that their flaws are the same as their good points and sometimes simply being the not opposite but other side of the coin
Appearance: i have descriptions for all of them i guess they are all standard pretty/handsome, not overly so but above average
Backstory: quick backstories, elf is an orphan raised by humans who were killed by elves so now he hates elves and he has an evil alignment his whole backstory takes place in a magic academy run by elves which due to his actions were all killed (not his parents but all the other members of that school were killed as a result of what he did), the human has a neutral alignment and is on a journey to better himself and other if he can, the dragonborn is a noble first born son whose family has possibly tried to kill and harm him he was helped by strangers and now has a pact he has to tread carefully with while gaining the strength needed to secure his life and freedom causing a juxtaposition in that he is a kind person that takes merciless actions, the orc is an orphan raised by other races and by chance was able to gather funds to become an adventurer he is a fighter and wants to prove himself (if i'm being honest he's my weakest character in terms of backstory) and finally the Tiefling is a boy who saw a battle became enthralled by the glory he witnessed and so took pains to become a war domain cleric and now wants to prove to his literal goddess what it means to reach the pinnacle as a mortal despite being a Tiefling,
Silly fun fact: I have loads of characters in the works, and not enough space for them
Favourite dinosaur: Conchoraptor, because it looks funny
Experience with DnD: I've been in a one-shot, 3 sessions in high school, and currently in a long campaign,. But I'm still getting the hang of rules, which dice to roll, and how to properly roleplay. So, I'm still a newbie.
What you’d want to see in a campaign: I want to see a lot of world interactions, character interactions, and a lot of roleplay. I'm also fine with mature content, like death and murder. I would like to explore the whole world, and have cool stuff happen along the way, like finding a goblin business man, who lost his watch or something and dabbles in a like fortune telling.
What you’d not want to see in a campaign: I wouldn't want to see serious issues, like abuse to be used for shock value, I would like it respected and actually taken seriously. I don't really mind sexual stuff/sex/flirting, as long as it's not described into great detail, and taken to an extreme.
Things I would like to know about your character idea (Can be changed of course):
Name: Shiloh Duman (Last name might change)
Age: 21
Pronouns: They/She
Race: Changeling
Class(and future subclass): Ranger
Likes: Rain, Libraries, and Writing
Dislikes: Chocolate, Alcohol, and Loud noises
Personality: Typically very closed off, and shy, but can slowly come out her shell when she gets comfortable with people. Mainly keeps opinions and stuff to herself.
Flaws: Obsessive especially with people with unique facial feature, sometimes clumsy, resting mean face.
Appearance: They have medium tanned skin, with a beauty mark below the left side of their bottom lip, and one just below their right eye. Their body is slightly slender and wide hipped, with some curves to their body. Their black silky hair is about shoulder cut and mainly curls out from her face, as for bangs it covers their eyes, but they can still see. Wears their hair done most times, and puts it in a bun when they go to sleep. Their eye is a green color and the other is brown, monolid with thick eyelashes. Their nose is round and softly defined. Their lips are full, the upper lip being bigger than the lower lip. Their cheeks are soft and rounded. They’re wearing short-sleeved white shirt that's tight around the stomach-bust area and comes up to their neck a little as the sleeves are loose, black slightly puffy jogger pants, an mid-thigh length dark gray apron and on the sides have little brown pouches about hip height, black socks, and brown boots.
Backstory:
Doppelganger impregnates mom, and she gives birth to Shiloh, who looks like a High Elf child. Which is weird, because she’s married to a feminine presenting person, who can’t produce children. Either way the two parents are happy, and raise Shiloh to the best of their abilities. Parents are both High Elves, Eve (Mom) and Alix(Parent). They saw this as a blessing from the gods, as they were thinking about adopting. Eve runs a shop in Ferelin, where she sells trinkets, weapons, and potions. Alix is the one running the potion side of the shop.
Puberty hit, mom realized something was weird with Shiloh, finding streaks of white hair only to find them not there the next day, and parts of their skin were pure white even though Shiloh is tan. Their true identity came to light at 13, when they came downstairs pure white, freaking out. The parents never found the answer and they kept this secret from everyone, not wanting to be treated like outcasts. This led to Shiloh being home-schooled the rest of their childhood, by Eve.
Teenage years, Shiloh can now control how she looks, taking any form she wants. She grew to hide her abilities and rarely uses them. Worked as a part-time scribe in high school at the local scriptorium, learning much about High Elf society, and how things worked. She wasn’t really stuck up like everyone, because she mainly kept to herself, and never wanted to end up stuck up like her parents were sometimes.
Currently at 21, she still works at the scriptorium, and secretly tries to find out more about what she is. She’s been down many paths, and not one of them has led to anything, that night she was determined to find out the next day. By going to the local library, and spending the whole day there. Only to wake up in a cell with other people, she is cautious of everyone in the cell, could they be the one who put her in this cell? Or is this situation a lot worse than it is?
Silly fun fact: I got 3th place in my high schools writing compitition years ago
Favourite dinosaur: Brontosaurus, cause "he's just a long boy" (basically an insida joke from way back)
Experience with DnD: 3 years and counting
What you’d want to see in a campaign: I want to see how the characters evolve and how to campaign world might change them. I also want to see epic fights and conflict and eploration and all that good old dnd stuff.
What you’d not want to see in a campaign: to quote one of my friend "Just everyone taking the piss out of the game and ******* around". I want the games I'm part of be serious, jokes are fine, but when 70% of eveything is a joke, it starts to piss me off.
Things I would like to know about your character idea (Can be changed of course):
NOTE! I have a lot of characters semi ready, so I just chose one that interest me the most with only using the new rules, however I don't have lot of the little detail ready, just broad strokes.
Name: Don't have one yet, I usually come up with these as the very last in creation
Age: somewhere in early 20s
Pronouns: He/him
Race: Aasimar
Class(and future subclass): Paladin, Vengeance
Likes: people, sunny days, helping others, loyalty, not being too serious all the time
Dislikes: Backstabbers, traitors, dishonesty, needless hostility, alcohol (and drugs if those are relevent in your world)
Personality: Friendly guy who (in my mind at least) is usually the one to break the ice. He want to help peaople around him and does not expect payment in return, but he really hates people who take advantage of his helpfulness.
Flaws: He is quite blind to other peoples evil intentions, he takes his time to see if he is being manipulated. He is usually open minded to other people, but really stubborn when he puts his mind on things and can be almost impossible to stop him when that happens.
Appearance: Pretty much not desided yet. He is a male of bigger build, but thats about it so far.
Backstory: [name] had an older brother that he looked up to. He became an oath of devotion paladin as [name] was still young, so he looked up to his brother a lot and wanted to bacome a paladin himself after he came of age. He sometimes followd his brother in secret when he was doing "adventuring stuff" around their home area. One day the brother got an offer to temporarery join one adventuring party to kill an evil dragon lurking close to the city. He jumped to the opportunity immediately without questioning anything. [name] followed them to see the epic battle. He vas too far to see the fight, because he was scared of getting hurt by the dragon, he however did notice that the "dragon" didn't use any breath attacks during the fight. After killing the beast, the other adventurer attacked the big brother who had been their frontliner and taken the most damage. They then took eveything valuable of the dragons corpse and left.
[name] Came running to his brothers corpse ofter the adventurer had left and cried after him. As his latened Aasimar abilities started to manifest he took his brothers old swords and swore to get revenge on the people that did this to him, and to every backstabbing bastart that he comes across. [name] was on his knees as the black spectral wings on his back started filling the nearby are with black smoke, complitely covering both of the boys. After a while, [name] stood up and the smoke stared to dissapear and the spectral wings turned white. He didn't want to become as bed as the men who did this to his, so he must be like his brother and help people, be there for them and not turn to evil. Atleast, not until the time is right.
What you’d want to see in a campaign: A reasonable time line with lore and my dm not trying to commit mass murder for the fun of it.
What you’d not want to see in a campaign: Several combat interactions in a plain town. A jumbled timeline, but if you don’t think of something I am fine with it. Sadly, I can’t go anywhere, so if this is an in person campaign, I can not join. I also don’t like video calls, but I am open to have them.
Name: Sûril
Age: 45
Pronouns: he/him
Race: Chromatic Dragonborn
Class(and future subclass): Artificer, and armorer.
Likes: Depends on what side is currently active.
Dislikes: Depends on what side is currently active.
Personality: Is split
Flaws: Depends on what side is currently active.
Appearance: Tall white chromatic Dragonborn with shallow blue eyes.
Backstory: (There may be many misspellings because it didn’t copy it over exactly.)
In his first few years of life, he was abused by his parents. (Both father and mother) After a few more years of this, his mind created a separate part of him to protect him from said harm. One night, while his parents were beating him, the second side of him took over and killed both of his parents. This second side of him felt no remorse when doing so, and this led to his second side to having no emotion besides pure carnage. The second side quickly ran away from the bodies and stumbled into a dark forest. After wandering around for what seemed to be forever, he found himself caught by some elves who were out on patrol. At first, they perceived him as a threat, and turned the their spears against him. After a few questions, they decided to bring him to the elders. The elders sent him to work in a blacksmith's shop because they really didn’t want to deal with him. He worked in said shop for 30 years, learning the craft and lifestyle of the elves. One day, he was given permission by the elders to leave and join the Dwarfs. He only spent 10 years here learning how to make stronger, more flexible weapons and armor, and even how to customize his own armor and weapons. Soon, he was contacted by a lizard folk because his tools were master crafted. But before he left the dwarfs, they taught him one last thing. Their sacred art of fusing magical properties together from any source, and how to give one magical property to another item. He barely had time to learn such techniques, so he wrote them down in a book with his own language that he called “Click.” It was still a work in progress to speak, but not to write. He traveled to the the lizard folk, and they instantly recognized him as the great blacksmith from the dwarfs and he was welcomed into the town. When he met up with the lizard who called for him, a spear landed right by Sûril’s head. This caused the second side to take over. For the first side (Sûril), it happened so fast. A blur in his memory. But for the second side, he was going to far to say “defending himself.” The buildings were on fire, corpses lay the water and bridges, and the second side was still killing the enemy lizard folk. When there were none left to harm him, the second side fell back and Sûril took his place. He knew only partially what was going on, but he saw the deep chaos around him. Even though he is a man of few words, he vowed to not let this happen to anyone else. But despite the first sides vow the second side did not care.
If you want to message me or have any questions, my discord is lasereyex2po.
I would also like to tell everyone, current party is likely to consist of a paladin, a sorcerer and a ranger, and a tiefling, aasimar and changeling, so anything that would add more variety and flesh out the party and bring a new role will likely be prioritised.
Also, personally, I'd love to have one of the short races in the group >:)
Experienced player looking for a new game to fill the time.
Name: Walter
Age: 50
Pronouns: he/him
Silly fun fact: There are 11 dogs on my property.
Favourite dinosaur: triceratops
Experience with DnD: playing and running since 1985
What you’d want to see in a campaign: fun. character and world development. I want the group's actions to have a definitive impact on the world around them.
What you’d not want to see in a campaign: strife, indecision, keeping the group in a box.
Things I would like to know about your character idea (Can be changed of course):
I will make a character that will fill any roles not chosen by the rest of the group. Looking like one of the following:
Healer
Name: Tar-Ghan
Age: 35
Pronouns: he/him
Race: orc
Class(and future subclass): Cleric/War Domain
Likes: A hard days work in the fields
Dislikes: Pesky rodents that eat the crop
Personality: Hardworking.
Flaws: Untrusting of "civilization"
Appearance: A large yellow/brown orc with an eye patch with a drawing of a bright red eye on it, covering his left eye. He is dressed as a simple farmer in hides carrying a large scythe.
Backstory: Tar-Ghan is a simple farmer. He made his life with his mate and younglings far from the small villages of Vitenias Rest. He watched as his younglings came of age and found a life of their own. A few years later, he buried his mate. Content to live out his remaining years on his farm, Tar-Ghan had a vision. He saw a large cyclopean orc in the middle of his field. As Tar-Ghan approached this figure, flames engulfed the fields around him. The searing heat burned his flesh as he fell to his knees before the god of the orcs of old… Gruumish. Tar-Ghan called out asking what Gruumish wanted of him. “It is time for you to go and be my voice to this world.” The words booming in his head as the flames began to swirl around the god figure focusing on his single eye. The flames then shot out toward Tar-Ghan, striking him in his own left eye. Tar-Ghan awoke face down in a field of ash, and a searing pain in his eye. He reached up only to find a festering wound where his eye used to be. Tar-Ghan gathered what things he could from his farm and set out as Gruumish commanded.
Rogue
Name: Gillian McTaggart
Age: 16
Pronouns: she/her
Race: Halfling
Class(and future subclass): Rogue/Thief
Likes: Lazy, unperceptive, marks and street urchins
Dislikes: Authority
Personality: Flamboyant, unless the situation calls for stealth.
Flaws: Will never turn away from a challenge
Appearance: Gillian is small for a halfling. Vibrant, short cropped, red hair. Soulful blue eyes. A few of her many daggers can be seen next to her shortsword.
Backstory: Gillian always longed for a welcoming home and hearth. Surrounded by loved ones, sharing stories of their exploits before they “settled down” in one of the villages dotting the Haroten landscape. But she settles for the rafters under the overhang of the old warehouse in Boretum where she calls home. The priests said they found her on the steps… at least her mother cared enough to choose the steps instead of the gutter. She had seen many orphans in the gutter. But she refused to act the fool and wallow in the self pity most of the less fortunate in the slums do. She has made a good living doing odd jobs and freelancing a bit. There are always open windows on the upper floors of the fancier homes. Although her life now is not as glamorous as it will be, she is determined to make the best of what life has dealt her.
Age: 25 ( i know it said between 16-24, hopefully 25 is alright.)
Pronouns: She/Her
Silly fun fact: Sharks are my favorite animal and I have an unreasonably large shark related collection. We're talkin' Teeth, jaws, fossils, stuffed animals, clothes.....its concerning. I can give you shark fun facts until the end of time. Which is how long sharks will be around for.
Favourite dinosaur: Its not a dinosaur...but I think the history of Dodo birds is hilarious yet depressing, and their general features are just too good to be true.
Experience with DnD: I've been playing off and on for 4-5 years, mostly DM'ing. I haven't played in about a year sadly, so i'm a lil rusty but it won't take me long to get back in the swing of things.
What you’d want to see in a campaign: I love roleplay, deep story, funny bits/comedic relief, plot twists, betrayals, puzzles, mysteries, character development, ect. I enjoy combat, but I'm in it for the story and roleplay for sure.
What you’d not want to see in a campaign: Too much combat, long repetitive combat. I don't mind long combat as long as it doesn't feel like i'm just waiting for it to be over. I enjoy interactive settings, environment changes, whatever to keep it changing once and awhile, even slightly, while we chisel away at our enemy's health points.
Character Info -
Name: Jean Applebottom (apple bottom jeeeaaans, boots with the furrrrrr)
Likes: Gardening, baking, small woodland creatures, sewing, hugs, tea, being helpful, enjoys 'smelling the roses' and taking her time
Dislikes: Big city mess and noise, rude and selfish people, terrified of fire/forest fires
Personality: Sweet as a button, will make you apple fritters and tea at the drop of a hat! A motherly, nurturing type, with the protection style that of a bear for those she cares about or herself. Wise, but naïve to street smarts and the "real world" (lived in an orchard in a small town her whole life)
Flaws: Naive, doesn't really know how a lot of things work as she's lived a pretty sheltered life. Loving to a fault, sometimes she cares for the wrong people, sees too much potential good in bad people. Will put others above herself, potentially risking her health. "I'm too old anyways, you've got a lot going for you young man!"
Appearance: Elderly, on the heavier side. Gray and white, aged hair that is tied back into an adorable bun with braids and held together with sticks. She wears a long, brown and green dress with plenty of ruffles and pockets, and cute brown loafers. She sports a rolling pin and a cooking pot lid as a club and shield (if allowed, same stats as regular club/wooden shield)
Backstory: Her entire life was spent on her family's inherited apple orchard, which has been gifted down upon generations and generations of women to her family. She took care of the trees and land, kept to herself, and often helped her local community when needed. Independently running this orchard, also comes with protecting it, which she did very well on her own and has become rather strong from it along with the heavy manual labor that running an orchard requires. However, her days are fleeting and she's aware her time to retire was, well, yesterday frankly. In order for her to pass down the sacred family orchard, it must be passed down to a woman, just as her mother did and so many more before. She married once, after many arguments and him attempting to capitalize on her orchard, he 'passed away'. She did not bury him directly, but rather made his body into a compost for the trees. She birthed one son during her marriage, which of whom she doesn't speak of, Liam Applebottom, she sent him off to an orphanage anonymously as he was not born a woman and could not inherit the farm. Try after try, she always miscarried any other potential child, leaving her without a daughter to pass the orchard down to. Her goal is to find a glorious, wise, independent, strong woman in which she can pass her orchard down to and continue tradition, even if she isn't blood, whoever she is, she believes that there's someone out there that will continue her family's orchard without abusing it. Without finding this unknown woman, what will be of her orchard when she passes?
hiii!!! my friend and i want to join together, is it possible? our characters share a backstory!
about me:
Name: Kesha! (farnfarn on discord)
Age: 19
Pronouns: they/them
Silly fun fact: my name isn't popular among humans but it's generally used for male parrots!!
Favourite dinosaur: diplodocus!!! they are so silly and have cool whip tale!!!
Experience with DnD: played through a short campaign and was a dm for a few oneshots
What you’d want to see in a campaign: some interesting dynamics between characters!!! i would be happy for my character to have a romantic interest or friends, enemies or even adopted children... that would be so cool!!
What you’d not want to see in a campaign: i have ocd so there are some triggers and strict rules!! basically, nothing related to uhh... any nasty bathroom themes? also, i can't watch at many plastic things but i guess that won't be a big problem. aside triggers i don't teally like themes of bullying, sexual assault of women or children, queerphobia, any racism and other kinds of discrimination.
and my character:
Name: Vivian
Age: 21
Pronouns: he/him
Race: human
Class(and future subclass): barbarian, path of the totem warrior
Likes: his friend Mauro and the hair clip it gave him, forests, dogs and wolves. he likes little birds so much that will refuse to eat them (a big deal for someone raised among wolves lol). likes to read even though he can do it terribly slowly.
Dislikes: agressive and/or loud people, mess in the house, unnecessary cruelty towards animals, unorganized people.
Personality: he has a hard time accepting that he's not the one and only leader and should listen to others too. considering himself the head of the (imaginable) pack he deeply cares about people around him and feels way too responsible for them. also can be annoyed when other people take initiative. vivian can sound a little rough making "orders" to his "servant" (Mauro), but at the same he isn't afraid to accept that he cares a lot about his friend and wills to protect it. vivian thinks that he must stay cool when with strangers but is actually easy to make laugh. the best way to see his soft side is to be funny hehe. can become actually very chill and even childlike when trusts people. when he enters barbarian rage, he is usually quiet because he tends to lock his anger – it doesn't affect the strength of his attacks though :)
Flaws: his biggest soft spot is Mauro, if anything happens to it, vivian would probably collapse. also, as already said, vivian always wants to lead and gets uncomfortable when he can't. plus he has low intelligence because of growing up in the woods and he can barely read even though interested in books. his intelligence affects his speach and understanding of difficult words.
Appearance: tanned well built guy with messy brown hair long enought to make a ponytail. has gray eyes and always wears a hairclip with a blue rose.
Backstory: [character being a prince of some country is optional, if it doesn't fit the story mauro can be a part of any noble family] about 16 years ago a carriage with the little prince of [...] crashed with almost no survivors left. the only people alive were two children 5 and 6 years old, the first of them was the prince himself and the second one was a child of some unknown servant. they somehow happened to be accepted to the wolf pack, living with wolves for years.
by the time they finally was rescued by humans, one of them, later called Vivian (aka the servant's child) was already the leader of the pack, thanks to his barbarian abilities. Mauro (the prince) on the other hand was his subordinate, happy to serve his friend. when they were found, humans tried to return the prince back in his castle but he refused to leave so children ran away together.
some kind lady helped them and let kids sonetimes work in her tavern as waiters. through years they learned to behave almost like "normal" humans even though their souls belonged to the forest forewer. lately they decided to leave the tavern and try the life of adventurers!
and my friend's answer:
Name: Pepyabl (I can go by Pep)
Age: 18
Pronouns: she/they/any (idc about it really, call me whatever you want)
Silly fun fact: my favorite color is yellow, but i can't stand yellow that goes green
Favourite dinosaur: pteranodon
Experience with DnD:
I have been playing dnd for a short time, only since spring 2024
I took part in two of my friends' campaigns and managed to run one as a GM, but I may still not know something, so please forgive me if I make mistakes
What you’d want to see in a campaign:
friendly people to have fun with!! also im a notetaker, so I REALLY like connecting dots :D
What you’d not want to see in a campaign:
I'm okay with anything!! I don't have any triggers so as long as everybody okay with something I'm okay with it too
and character:
Name: Mauro/Maur
Age: 20
Pronouns: It/he (doesn't really understand gender roles in society and prefers to be referred to by more neutral pronoun, but doesn't particularly mind being addressed as he if that's what people want to call it).
Race: Human.
Class (and future subclass): Fighter (champion).
Likes: It likes forest and the feeling of freedom when it runs through the woods. Likes its friend and "leader" – Vivian. Also it is really fond of making wreaths and likes to give them to the ones it cares about.
Dislikes: It does not like closed and crowded spaces, but due to its work in the tavern, it has adapted to tolerate them.
Personality: Mauro possesses a fierce sense of loyalty and an innate understanding of nature. It is quite confident but struggles with social norms and cues. Mauro is curious about the world around it and people surrounding it but often feels a sense of alienation from the human society it was thrown back into. Although it is hard for it to learn new things, it is eager to do it.
Flaws: As already mentioned, Mauro has a hard time communicating with people due to living most of its life in the forest. It often just doesn't understand them, which is why it suffers from social anxiety. It can also be said that Mauro often can't decide for itself what it should do, which is why it prefers to follow someone's orders (be it Vivian or someone else).
Appearance: Mauro looks like a tall, well-built man with tanned skin. He has blue eyes and gingery brown, slightly curly hair (also he has a lock of hair that he braids). There is a scattering of freckles on his face, and a gap between his front teeth.
Silly fun fact: did you know that hamsters sleep between 12 to 14 hours a day?
Favourite dinosaur: Brontosaurus
Experience with DnD: I have been playing 5e for almost two years now, so I got some experience.
What you’d want to see in a campaign: I like a split between combat and roleplay. While combat is my strong suit, roleplay isn't, and I would love to improve on that. As for themes, everything goes. Gory scenes, inappropriate scenes, which lets hope they fade to black, arcs that mentally challenge our characters, or put our characters morals to the test, everything goes.
What you’d not want to see in a campaign: I don't have anything specific in mind
Things I would like to know about your character idea (Can be changed of course):
Name: Wren Underfoot
Age: 21
Pronouns: he/him
Race: Aasimar
Class(and future subclass): Champion fighter multiclassing into barbarian
Likes: having a good time, music, dancing, helping people, sweets, working the farm
Dislikes: being deceived, betrayals, drugs (if there are any)
Personality: Wren is a kind, carefree person, who likes to help others in need. His adventurous spirit sometimes puts him in dangerous situations, but he finds a way out. He cares for his comrades and for the small folk.
Flaws: sometimes he is too naive and can be taken advantage of; he is indecisive when needing to make important decisions
Appearance: Wren has a tall, around 6.6 feet, and muscular, but not bulky, body, thanks to him helping around the farm. His hair is long and white, and his eyes are white as well, thanks to his aasimar traits, but has pointy ears, thanks to his elven ancestry. Despite him working on a farm in the blazing sun, his skin remains white.
Backstory: Wren was born in the elven nobility, but couldn't be raised in elven society due to his controverted birth, thus was abandoned in a forest near a halfling settlement. As luck would have it, Tobin and Gwendolyn Underfoot, two halflings, found Wren and adopted him. With all the money from their adventuring days, they bought a farm and raised Wren as one of their own. Little Wren had a different appearance than current Wren. Back then, his hair was golden brown and his eyes were green as emeralds. When Wren started to grow taller than the other kids, Tobin and Gwendolyn knew they had to tell him the truth. In doing so, Wren came into possession of two items, a blanket with his name sewed in one corner, and a pendant holding an image of an elven woman. While Wren said he might search for his biological mother when he's older, he still loved his actual family. Nothing has changed for him.
One day when Wren was around 10, while playing Knights and Dragons with the other kids in the settlement, Wren started to feel weird, as if something was trying to get out of him, and struck one of the other kids. Realizing what he had done, Wren wished with all his heart to make that wound go away, and, as he touched the other kid, he managed to close and heal the wound he inflicted. Baffled by what just happened, he told his parents which were as shocked as him, but soon realized their child is an aasimar. As such, Tobin decided it's time to start training the boy. Both him and Gwendolyn knew that a day will come when their boy will have to leave in search of his origins, so they might as well prepare him.
As he became of age, 18 at the time, he began his journey. Wren would often exchange letters with his parents, and occasionally visit his home to helping during the harvest, tell adventuring stories to children in the settlement, sometimes even send money during hard times.

LOOKING FOR TWO MORE PLAYERS

C.obal_t
Backstory: quick backstories, elf is an orphan raised by humans who were killed by elves so now he hates elves and he has an evil alignment his whole backstory takes place in a magic academy run by elves which due to his actions were all killed (not his parents but all the other members of that school were killed as a result of what he did), the human has a neutral alignment and is on a journey to better himself and other if he can, the dragonborn is a noble first born son whose family has possibly tried to kill and harm him he was helped by strangers and now has a pact he has to tread carefully with while gaining the strength needed to secure his life and freedom causing a juxtaposition in that he is a kind person that takes merciless actions, the orc is an orphan raised by other races and by chance was able to gather funds to become an adventurer he is a fighter and wants to prove himself (if i'm being honest he's my weakest character in terms of backstory) and finally the Tiefling is a boy who saw a battle became enthralled by the glory he witnessed and so took pains to become a war domain cleric and now wants to prove to his literal goddess what it means to reach the pinnacle as a mortal despite being a Tiefling,
Things I would like to know about you:
Name: Paya
Age: 21
Pronouns: She/They
Silly fun fact: I have loads of characters in the works, and not enough space for them
Favourite dinosaur: Conchoraptor, because it looks funny
Just gonna post a quick booster comment hereee.
Name: Wright
Age: 24
Pronouns: He/They
Silly fun fact: I got 3th place in my high schools writing compitition years ago
Name:Zack
Age: 16
Pronouns: he/him
Silly fun fact: I am a lucid dreamer
Favourite dinosaur: Pterodactyl
Experience with DnD: I am a new player
Big fan of the backstory there Wright! for more would ya mind adding the discord? Or give me yours?
I like the idea of having a dragonborn Zack, however I'd prefer one of the 2024 PHB ones...along with classes if you were to join.
Once more, le booster comment :P

About me! -
Name: Sydnie
Age: 81
Pronouns: She/Her
Race: Human
Class(and future subclass): Barbarian/subclass fighter
Heya, for you new players, ya mind adding my discord? Or putting yours in here?
Mine is just Sydbue, sorry tried adding ya on my phone but got busy and forgot i'm a goof
Bababoostie-oh
hiii!!! my friend and i want to join together, is it possible? our characters share a backstory!
Backstory: [Has the same backstory as Vivian]
Hello there! I hope I'm not to late.
Name: Mr. V, or just V
Age: I hope you don't consider 26 being too old.
Pronouns: he/him
Silly fun fact: did you know that hamsters sleep between 12 to 14 hours a day?
