Have you ever wanted to attend a school for those with magical gifts? Have you ever wanted to mix scenarios that have an emphasis on classes/exams with open world or emergent game play? This is the one for you.
For those that haven't played Strixhaven: Curriculum of Chaos, it is a module for 5th Edition Dungeons and Dragons that features a magical school called Strixhaven, kind of like Hogwarts but for DnD. What many people have said though, is despite the campaign being set in a school, the book doesn't provide a lot of material for taking classes and exams beyond a few simple rolls, relying more on the rest of the story to carry things forward.
I personally think it would be great to have more solid mechanics around taking classes, performing well in them and being rewarded for doing so. Players will be able to take classes and exams while also having an emerging story take place alongside those classes that draws the party together. If you have played Hogwarts: Legacy, then you have an idea of what I mean.
The length of this campaign with also be increased, instead of the estimated 8-12 sessions, it could run for up to a full year, or more with weekly sessions. If you enjoy a more hearty wizarding school experience, this is a great option.
Join me as we work together to create a curriculum you will enjoy, and create the systems and mechanics that are rewarding for all.
I am more than willing to answer any questions, concerns or otherwise so feel free to ask!
