Game: D&D 5e though we may use some 2024 rulings/classes Group : Online w/ Discord, and Roll20 Experience: Open to all (New, a few years, veteran) Location/Time-zone: PST (Pacific Standard Time) Availability: Flexible, looking for weekdays. Exact times can be discussed based on group availability Game Style: A mix of immersive roleplay, exploration, and tactical combat. It has been awhile since I've dmed a new group and I will not be too strict on the rules. The campaign will take players across the world of Tsurina, the map above is merely a portion of the world. I will be looking to incorporate player backstory into the story of the campaign.
Campaign Details The campaign start will be voted on by the chosen players. Possible starting locations examples include:
Thaldris: A kingdom ruled by an anti-magic tyrant, where rebellion brews beneath the surface.
Myrrhshade: A tribal canopy city nestled under a world tree, on the water.
Aetherport: A sprawling trade port filled with political intrigue and possible sky pirate adventures?
Frostwhistle: A festive, magical ice city plagued by an eternal winter.
Every place on the map has its own little story, so feel free to suggest starting anywhere.
What I Need from You:
A short level 3 character concept (race, class, personality, and brief backstory). 4d6 Drop the lowest for stats, and you get one magic item of uncommon rarity.
A short paragraph about yourself and desired game style.
Your availability and preferred starting location from the map above, does not have to be from the examples :) I encourage any questions or comments.
I also will be waiting around 2 hours before initiating any Discord links to anyone so don't worry if I haven't responded and don't feel discouraged to apply to play even if there are a lot of people!
My character: Druid - F - Wood Elf - 190 years of age, named Howler Evergrove. She is a Moon Druid who uses her bestial forms to fight for nature, her friends and potential lovers. She is a bit of a flirt, and often times isn't afraid to show it. Her preferred forms (at low levels) are Tiger and Dire Wolf. She sees the tiger as the ultimate hunter, and when solitary she loves to use this form to hide and prowl. Her wolf form is used in the heat of battle with her comrades and friends, she sees the pack as a unit itself and in the heat of good skirmish can be reliable. She comes from a village on the outskirts of a larger city surrounded by woodlands. She, her friends and family are the druids of the surrounding forest that help tend to the area.
Myself: My D&D is experience spans over 10 years, I've been playing since I was in highschool and I really honed in on 5e after college. I've also played with World of Darkness systems as well for 2 years. I'm a 30 year old dad to a 2 year old, I love Pokemon and I love the arts, whether it be drawing, writing, or strategizing. My preferred game style is a mix of RP and combat. I love being able to interact with the characters of the game and also flexing my wit in combat.
Availability & Start: Relatively flexible, preferably after 8PM EST, Wednesday nights are the absolute best but other days can work as well. I would prefer some where wooded, perhaps Myrrhshade.
Character: Oath of Vengeance Paladin M human 25 not sure on name tbh. The idea is a guy with a pretty standard upbringing and good life he serves in the military for his town, village, or city (can be whichever that would make sense for the world). So maybe a year or two after enlisting he meets a girl they fall in love, and he leaves the military to settle down with her years go by everything is good but the small town or village they settle in gets attacked one day and his love is murdered, and this is what sets him on the path of vengeance and causes him to take his oath.
I 21M am brand new to D&D. I got interested in it because of Baldur's Gate 3 and I bought the 2024 phb so I am familiar with the game and its rules, but have practically zero experience playing the ttrpg. I really like the games combat so I am most excited for that, but I will do my best to RP and get immersed in the world and my character.
As for scheduling evenings/nights on weekdays are no issue for me and I am willing to start wherever the party wants as I think all of the spots look super interesting
Edit: I forgot to mention my time zone is Est which is 3 hours ahead of Pst so 5-6pm works best but will be willing to start later if I really like it
Character: Male Drow Swarmkeeper Ranger, Distrusting (dislikes people who can not help themselves or people who are too nice), Grew up on the streets and learned to fend for himself. His friends are his swarm and other animals perhaps, but definitely short and poor relationships with other beings.
About me: I am new relatively. I am playing 1 game ongoing, so I understand the basics-ish. The DM for that game is lenient and easy on the ruling. Anyway, I hope to explore the world, combat and all. I will be quiet in beginning because I have virtually no social skills or a life.
Starting: Wherever there can be hunting/gathering plants is prevalent for survival since I would like that place to be the birth place for my character.
Age: 31 Timezone & Availability: CST, available after 5pm CST most evenings except Wednesday and Friday Experience: Pretty new, have played a one shot and a couple home sessions. Have watched Dimension 20 and have a good understanding of the basics. Play Style: The little bit I've played I really enjoy roleplaying and puzzles and combat. RP probably the most, followed by combat then puzzles
My Character: Goldie Onyxheart is a dwarven death domain cleric who grew up watching people of her faith and community care for one another, and more importantly care for the sick. She quickly took to helping people feel comfortable in their final hour and ensuring that suffering was not prolonged in anyway. It didn't take long for others to recognize that Goldie was different as her mere presence was a comfort to others and unlike some she always knew the right thing to say to comfort the families of the dying while still advocating for the one entering her domain. She believes the dead should be left alone and she sees no issue with assisting people in crossing over and has vowed to protect those values to ensure no one is disturbing something she believes to be sacred.
Name: Eiko, The Veiled Truth Race: Changeling Class: Rogue (Thief)
Personality: Eiko moves through the shadows and whispers of Aetherport’s bustling marketplace with ease, a perfect blend of cunning and charm. She thrives in the city's underbelly, where deception is an art and secrets are valuable currency. As a blade for hire, Eiko uses her talents to protect the vulnerable and expose the corrupt. While she enjoys the thrill of her work, her actions are always driven by a strong sense of justice, aiming to right the wrongs of both the elite and the criminal underworld.
Backstory: Eiko's formative years were marked by constant travel, raised within a troupe of performers, artists, and con artists. This life taught her to adapt, becoming whoever was needed in any given situation. She learned the art of deception, human behavior, and the subtle craft of blending into any crowd. However, as she grew older, Eiko grew disillusioned with the troupe’s exploitative ways. Instead of supporting their schemes, she used her abilities to help those trapped in their web, altering appearances or drawing attention away from their cons. As her sense of justice deepened, Eiko transitioned into her current role as a vigilante known simply as "The Veiled Truth." Now, in the shadows of Aetherport, she channels her skills to protect the innocent, dismantle corrupt power structures, and take down those who abuse their influence for evil.
Availbility: Any day but Wednesday
Starting: Wherever you need me! I'll workshop with you to help provide a compelling narrative why Eiko would be needed there.
About Me: I've been playing under the 5e ruleset for five years now, and I absolutely love it! Crafting exciting, immersive backstories that connect with other players' stories is such a passion of mine. I really enjoy collaborative storytelling and weaving together character arcs that enrich our shared adventures, making the gameplay feel lively and fun for everyone involved!
Having been raised mostly between monasteries, only venturing into society for odd jobs and charity work, the monk is naive and can at times be rather gullible. They’ve ventured from the community they were raised in so that they might find themselves. They are open minded, level headed, and confident.
Availability: Any day after 8PM EST/5PM PST
About me: I am an adult with a full time job with odd but usually flexible hours. There may be some weeks, though rare, that I need to travel for work from Thursday-Monday. I’m basically brand new to playing D&D. I’ve played in two campaigns but both only lasted a few sessions for different reasons - though I’ve played other ttrpgs for far longer.
I’m interested in a balance between RP and combat, and I’ve never solved a puzzle in a campaign yet but it sounds fun. I have a deeper RP background than ttrpg background and I’d love to work with my party members to see how our characters can grow and change the world together.
Personality: always smiling/grinning with his crooked missing tooth smile. Always drinking on his down time... and always making sure his axe is sharp for the next thing that decides to stand in his way. Always protecting the ones his offered his loyalty to. Or agreed to do a job for/with. Spent his life collecting monster trophies and selling then for pay. Thinks it's time to up the mark for his next big hunt.
Availability: anyway but Sunday or Friday
Experience: about 6 years or so. Some DM and alot of player.
I'm just here looking for a good time and making new friends

Personality: Fallon Silversong is a graceful and introspective Wood Elf with a sharp mind and a creative soul. She’s endlessly curious, often lost in her thoughts or captivated by the pursuit of knowledge. While reserved at first, her warmth shines through in her enchanting melodies and heartfelt stories, which she uses to inspire and connect with others. Val balances her perfectionist tendencies with a playful streak, using her wit and charm to navigate challenges and uplift those around her.
Background: Born in the heart of an ancient forest (subject to change to fit the world lol), Fallon Silversong grew up surrounded by nature's beauty and the timeless traditions of her people. From a young age, she displayed a remarkable affinity for magic and music, blending the two into something uniquely her own. Her community, steeped in lore and harmony, nurtured her talents, but Val’s curiosity about the world beyond the trees burned brighter with each passing year. Encouraged by her family and elders to pursue her passions, Val left her secluded home to explore the lands beyond. She immersed herself in the cultures of other races, uncovering ancient songs, magical techniques, and stories that deepened her connection to the arcane and to her bardic craft. While she treasures her elven roots, Val has come to see herself as a bridge between her forest home and the larger world, using her knowledge and creativity to inspire unity and understanding. Though confident and bold, Val struggles with the weight of living up to her potential and her people’s high expectations. Despite these internal challenges, she remains driven to make her mark on the world, weaving magic and music together to preserve the balance and beauty of life itself.
Availability: Currently in a campaign that meets Friday evenings, so Fridays are off the board for me. Other than that, I can see what I can make work based on the availability of others! Timezone is CST
I know quite a few people applied before me but this campaign looks awesome so I’ll throw my hat in the ring:
A short level 3 character concept (race, class, personality, and brief backstory).
Ash Midas Redfield is a Human (redacted) Warlock. He is an incredibly shy, timid and easily frightened individual who will avoid conflict at all costs, except when it comes to (redacted). Personal fears include badgers, loud noises, comets, sharp things, uncooked vegetables, mirrors, ice cubes, birds, the ocean, blood, narrow hallways, ghosts, and above all else: the mud. And yet, after unwillingly coming into possession of one of the last (redacted), he now is wanted dead by some less than savory individuals, who indeed almost certainly would have died to had (redacted) not inexplicably kept him going. Now, he has to figure out what to do next.
Hi, I am Jace, a Uni Student who loves DND put has been struggling to find a new group. I study Applied Mathematics in Data Analytics, and spend most of my free time reading. I love learning about the lore of a world and lean heavy into the story aspect of a campaign. I’m available most week nights, and can also accommodate certain times on the weekend. As for starting spot… maybe a small town area like Crystaltide?
My discord is jacefletcher or you can msg me on here if you want, I really hope I get the chance to join this awesome campaign!
Hello, I’m interested in this game and hope you have space available.
human fighter, he is a calm old man who just wants to experience what adventure is like before he dies. While old he has spent his life training and thinking, the son of a soldier and healer he understands both worlds.
i went with point buy for stats for now until i can roll in such a way to show numbers aren’t being fudged. 11 strength, 16 dexterity, 14 constitution, 14 wisdom, 14 intelligence, 10 charisma.
as for item I would like to discuss that with you.
im in my thirties, a veteran, and someone who loves to tell and be apart of creating stories. I’ve had terrible luck in DMs but keep looking for that adventure for myself not just the characters I’ve created. I love combat and I love working as a team to create solutions and stories.
my availability is very open on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. I am the most open on the last two and I am in the mountain standard time for the US.
i hope to start in thaldris or aetherport.
thank you for your time, either way I hope your day is pleasant and you find what you need for your campaign.
about me: I'm pretty new to D&D I only have like a month of experience but I know the rules and mechanics well enough. I am 21 and I really enjoy Roleplay and will probably want to do a lot of that and I personally think I'm really good at making characters that can into the story , have interesting backstories, and make them feel alive in the world. I am available Monday-Thursday starting 4:00 pm.
I gotta bunch of ideas but I'll give ya 2
Character Name: Emilia Darkwrym
Race: Halfling
Class: Twilight Domain Cleric
Brief backstory: Her mother was killed by villagers of their old town because they thought Emilia and her mom were apart of a cult. Emilia's mother managed to teleport Emilia out of the village before she could be killed but the whole experience led Emilia to have trust issues and a quiet personality. She opened up a small orphanage along with a friend she made on her journeys who is the only person she trusts and a follower of the same faith as her, she started taking quests to pay the bills.
Character Name: SCOURGE ROBBINSON
Race: Dragonborn
class: Swashbuckler rogue
Brief backstory: Scourge's real name is Simon Lockheart and the Lockheart family used to be a very well known name for there vast treasury and influence, one day a family friend named Lark Graystone came to visit but this as not an out of the blue thing Lark came because there was an investigation going on that would have caught him in a bunch of shady dealings so he needed a place to crash while he thought of a plan. He managed to come up with one he framed Simons parents for his crimes than poisoned them so they wouldn't be able to defend themselves leaving only Simon and his older brother Seviart. Seviart was forced to sign over the family fortune to Lark so he and his brother would not end up in jail, Simon of course did not agree with this decision knowing that it was actually Lark who was the bad guy, but he had no evidence so he ran away from home to gather evidence against Lark and prove he was evil. His search was coming up empty though until he went to a bookstore and found a book he loved as a child called the adventures of Scourge Robbinson, inspired by this book Simon decided to become a good pirate stealing from the rich giving to the poor and even changing his name to Scourge Robbinson to embody the character. Once he found a mighty crew he would go back to his home and take back his families fortune by force.
Hello! I'm very interested if you're still looking for players :•)
Character Concept: Zephire Cailin (they/them) is a yuan-ti Circle of Spores Druid. They took on an interest in herbalism from a childhood friend's family who owned an apothecary - and fortunately, Zephire's investment left their friend free to focus on her own interests as her parents had someone else to pass their knowledge onto. Zephire has a strong interest in medicines, but along the way, they picked up an interest in poisons as well. Mostly in a theoretical manner though - they tend to brew poisons, taste-test them, then hoard any excess in vials. They've done plenty of reading on the efficacy of various plants and have familiarized themself with the plants native to their region, but they're looking to travel around to absorb more knowledge, hands-on and in more parts of the world. Zephire is gentle and tends to show little resistance to the flow of their environment as long as they're able to maintain their routines to some extent.
About Me: My name is Celeste (they/she), and I've been playing D&D 5e for about 3 and a half years now! I've also played in a year-long Kids on Brooms game. I enjoy both roleplay and combat - I love getting invested in the party and social dynamics, but I do also find it incredibly satisfying to be effective in a fight. Getting along with the party is very important to me, in and out of game (not to say I don't love a good bit of inter-party conflict, as long as we talk about it above board!). I enjoy writing extensive backstories, but they often evolve as a campaign progresses and I learn about my character more through playing them. I take thorough session notes and draw character art as well!
Availability: I would prefer a weekday evening, and I'm in CST. I do sometimes have to work in the evenings on weekdays, but once we settle on a day, I should be able to plan around it - however, it would be easier to do so if we don't play weekly. Biweekly would be my preference.
Preferred Start Location: I'm leaning toward Myrrhshade - the presence of the world tree sound really interesting, and it looks like we'd have plenty of options for where's next given its spot of the map.
I do have a question - how big of a party are you planning for? I'm accustomed to small parties (3 or 4 players) and can sometimes feel overwhelmed if the group is too big, so I may have to withdraw if you're looking for a party of 6+.
My discord is ninjashield5 if you'd like to reach out there!
Hey! We actually have two players looking to join up. I'll label information according to which Player it corresponds to. We are somewhat flexible in our availability, but our preferred timeslot would be on Wednesdays at 6 PM EST (3 PM PST). Our preferred starting location is Aetherport, though we'd be open to Myyrhshade as well!
Riley About Me: My name is Riley, I've been playing D&D sine 2021, and I've been DMing since 2022. I started mainly playing for the roleplay aspect of DND, but over time combat has become a much more interesting part of the game as I've grown to understand the mechanics. I love (character) drama, and I will do everything I can to make sure my character fits into your world as best I can to make the character developments hit that much harder. Recently been getting into Marvel Rivals, especially when my group can get together to play.
Character Concept: Tesla Nickelli, an Aasimar Paladin of Redemption was once a knight who once belonged to an order of paladins, likely serving under one of your world's monarchs. He was once a proud, noble and obnoxiously happy knight. However, several years ago Tesla lost a battle of wills and fell to the influence of an evil spirit/wizard/god (TBD based on your world lore) and was nearly forced to commit a heinous act. Thanks to another group of adventurers, he was prevented from committing said act of evil, though his pride was left in shambles. Now he's only noble and obnoxiously happy. Now Tesla has set out on a journey of Redemption, seeking a way to restore his honor as a knight, and to stop others from falling to evil like he did.

Chase Ambrosia Nightingale: Human Warlock. Ambrosia is in essence a witch with her and her coven often making deals with locals to benefit both parties. However, Ambrosia and her group aren’t really evil. They believe that the darker magics should be used like any other magic, it just needs to be used responsibly. She’s out away from her coven because an apprentice of hers vanished one night with several of the coven’s tomes and Ambrosia is trying find them. Ambrosia herself is a little flirty, a little cunning (as much as I myself can be) and usually very formal and polite. While not used to being a hero or doing good days for minimal or no compensation, she secretly enjoys helping people simply because it’s the right thing to do.
Myself: I’ve been playing dnd for over 4 years now, I’ve played a variety of characters, but Ambrosia is my first warlock actually. I enjoy games with a good mix of both combat and rp.
Heya, Super interested in the Idea of this Campaign but not Sure If your full on players or not, I have alot of characters I could play, but I'll just list a few. I am quite flexible in timing, being available most on Monday, Tuesdays and weekends, My Timezone is GMT which will hopefully not cause any problems.
About me: I am Sam (He/Him) and I've been playing DnD for about a year now, I've completed one campaign and had another sadly cancelled, I also have experience with the system through play-by-post games and BG3 of course.
Since I've got alot of characters, I'll just give you the details to the one I most want to play :D
Character Name: Lamplight (Not actual name, but in case I join, don't wanna tell :P )
Race: Fairy
Class: Wild Magic Sorcerer
Brief Backstory: Lamplight had always lived a life lacking in freedom and justice, he held no power over his own life, and had no way to help the others struggling around him, at his darkest moment he found a saving grace, but that saving grace turned out to be his greatest curse, he was gifted with magic, something he once struggled with he now had great amounts of, but with great power comes great chaos as the magic was unstable, growing even more chaotic when his mental state worsens. But Lamplight never let this get the better of him, devoting himself to the Law and the People LampLight decided to name himself..."LampLight" a light in the darkness, a guide through the storms, that's what he'd try to be...a Hero....a SHERIFF (Yes I want to play a Cowboy Fairy)
Lamplight is quite a Naive, Goody Goody character who has a very positive outlook on others, believing the best in almost everyone, but despite this he tends to be quite hard on himself.
As for starting location I think somewhere near Frost Fall could be interesting, I often Assosiate LampLight with the snow, Despite the Cowboy inspirations.
Oh and also, If it's allowed, I think it would be hilarious to use a revolver as an Arcane Focus (No actual bullets, just shooting spells through it)
Game: D&D 5e though we may use some 2024 rulings/classes
Group : Online w/ Discord, and Roll20
Experience: Open to all (New, a few years, veteran)
Location/Time-zone: PST (Pacific Standard Time)

About me: Aero, she/they, 25
Character: Fallon "Fal" Silversong (she/her), Sorcerer 2 / Bard 1 (Sage), Wood Elf

Riley
About Me: My name is Riley, I've been playing D&D sine 2021, and I've been DMing since 2022.

Chase
Ambrosia Nightingale: Human Warlock.
Myself:
I’ve been playing dnd for over 4 years now, I’ve played a variety of characters, but Ambrosia is my first warlock actually.
Oh and also, If it's allowed, I think it would be hilarious to use a revolver as an Arcane Focus (No actual bullets, just shooting spells through it)
Is this thread still open? Because I would love to join
