Game: D&D 5e Group type: Online (Roll20) Voice/Text: Discord Location/Timezone: GMT 0600 (United States Central Time) Starting: Set to start Midmarch, looking for players now to allow for better prep time. Frequency: Weekly or Bi-Weekly Mondays, depending on Player availability Game/Session Duration: Game will be 5 sessions long, each session 4 - 4.5 hrs Players: Looking for 3 more players with at least some experience in DND Game style: This game will incorporate heavy combat encounters, potentially heavy role play (depending on the Players) and some world exploration. All official DND 2014 5e Source Book Material is welcome. As for creating your Dragon, The Draconomicon 3.5 E is a source book with conversions to 2014 5e as well as being open to homebrew with approval.
Game Description: You are a dragon who has survived the most devastating world event to date. You and your fellow surviving dragons have since then vowed to safeguard the world and, from the shadows, help shape it towards a more prosperous future. You were young then, now you are ancient; and it has been years since you all gathered in council about matters concerning the world. But a call has been set forth by one of your members. A measure done only for the gravest of matters. What could this beacon mean? Will you join me in finding out?
Your GM: I have 5yrs of experience playing DND 2014 5e as both a GM and a player. I tend to prefer the short form of story telling when it comes to GMing. My game style tends to fluctuate depending on the game I'm running. For this one, just because it is high level gameplay, I will tend to be more rules oriented but not at the expense of the players or the story. I focus heavily on catering fun to my players without sacrificing function and form. That being said, my players are always at the forefront of any game I run.
Looking for players who are willing and/or able to immerse themselves within a heavy story. In other words players who are open to roleplaying and heavy combat who help foster collaborative storytelling. Silliness is always welcome and encouraged, but not at the expense of your fellow players (GM included) and the game. Players are expected to develop a character with a backstory that is functional and well thought out in order to better facilitate their characters in a story that hosts centuries worth of history. However, it does not have to be extensive only functional so that it makes sense at the very least.
