Listing Information: D&D 5e (2014) Online/Discord CDT Weekends (Sat/Sun), from 2 PM to 6 PM, flexible schedule Party of 2-4 Roleplay & Adventure
Description: Hi, so I've been in an Elder Scrolls kick recently & want to DM a homebrewed campaign centered around it.
I'll begin with introducing myself, I am Anon, or Cursed_Infinity, really depends on where you're contacting me from. I'm a semi-veteran D&D player of around 5-8 years, and I've DM'd for at least 1 year. I'm a hobbyist writer & can come up with interesting stories (when I'm not having writer's block). Most of my interests revolve around sci-fi, such as Star Wars and Star Trek, although I've always been open to something like Skyrim, Half-Life, or the occasional random other thing.
As for the premise of this campaign, I was thinking that since I had TaleSpire and I've been looking for an excuse to use it, why not use it for generally the same thing that got me introduced to using it as a VTT for D&D campaigns? So, here I am with the idea that we'll be open-world exploring Tamriel (and perhaps some planes of Oblivion) with some homebrew (that I've yet to cook up). Of course, nothing is truly ready yet, but I do want to find some players who may be interested ahead of time. If I do, then I'll have a reason to work on these things. I made an interest form you can find here: Elder Scrolls D&D | Interest Form
Some general information you should know before filling anything out, though: - I will not be using D&D Beyond for keeping track of character sheets & homebrew. I am only using D&D Beyond as a resource to find players. I will be expecting players to find their ways of keeping track of their characters, as well as sharing them with me so I may help make corrections where needed. - If you can flavor something well enough, I will give you rewards for doing so. More detail is better. It also helps me to incorporate your character into whatever story I'm going to be telling. - I will have a session 0 for all players, though in groups of at least 2 at a time. This will act as a preliminary screening before I officially add someone to the campaign, because as much as chaos is fun, I intend to run this for a while, and I want to ensure that everyone is comfortable with me and the way I like to DM my campaigns, and for everyone to be comfortable with each other. It also helps me to weed out people who want to be the main character. I don't want that in my campaign. Please don't try it. - I suggest using HeroForge to create your character's mini! I'm looking into ways to import minis without using the built-in imports feature (I don't want to have to buy your character's mini), or if you're fine with it, we can use one of the pre-made ones for you. As long as we have a way of tracking your character.
If you have any other questions, feel free to ask them here or in PMs. I look forward to seeing what happens next! Happy adventuring!
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Like many of you, I love playing D&D. Although I tend to prefer hosting 1x1 campaigns, less scheduling conflict involved.
If you want a DM who will try his damndest to play with your characters in mind, feel free to contact me. I have too many stories circulating in my head and I want to tell them all to someone in a way they can interact with the worlds I make.
