I’m hosting a free one-shot called The Final Bid, and I’m looking for a few players to join the adventure!
This game is theater of the mind with a custom puzzle-driven playstyle you won’t find anywhere else. If you like high-energy, creative challenges, this one’s for you!
An exclusive auction in the seaside town of Nighthaven has drawn nobles, wanderers, and fortune-seekers from across Edoran. Rumor whispers of miraculous seeds, rare treasures said to cure any illness, mend the gravest wounds, and perhaps even defy time itself. Gold is flowing, tensions are high, and behind every eager smile lurks a hungry ambition.
You and your companions have been chosen to protect a wealthy bidder and secure the prize at all costs. But in Nighthaven, fortune favors the bold… and danger is never far behind. Will you outwit rival seekers, survive the high-stakes bidding war, and claim the ultimate reward?
Apparently startplaying.games forces players to enter their credit card into their website for even free games, which my game is FREE. This is a big issue if you've never played on there before. In fact some people who have never heard of startplaying.games lost their minds thinking it’s a scam website. It’s not a scam, but it is brutal that they force a credit card on people trying to play for free. So please message me directly if you want to play and bypass startplaying.games. I use that site because it's amazing for finding players and keeping my game organized, and in spite of how inconvenient it can be it’s way easier to find players there than most other places so... I still use it regardless of its issues because it works so well for organizing games.

The Final Bid is a puzzle-filled, high-energy one-shot where the unexpected lurks behind every choice.
Fast-paced minigames & puzzles replace slow, tactical combat
Custom interactive apps I built myself are screen-shared through Discord
Ability checks and saving throws are the core of gameplay
Combat is abstract and fast (usually finished in under 5 minutes!)

⚡ What Makes This Different
This isn’t your typical dungeon crawl.
No grid maps, no tactical positioning
No initiative rounds
No waiting 5 minutes for your turn

Instead, we focus on:
Quick decision-making
Collaborative problem-solving
Cinematic and surprising encounters
Think co-op board games like Five Minute Dungeon or Escape the Temple, but in a D&D one-shot.
🧙 Character Creation
Level 3 (using 2014 or 2024 rules)
Starting Gold: 200 gp + 1 uncommon item
Free mundane gear (rope, rations, etc.)
Any official WotC content is allowed (no homebrew classes/subclasses)
Party balance is not required, build something fun!
