I would be totally interested. I'm waiting on a friend to get back to me on if he's able to get a game going, but if that falls through I'd be open for it.
I run a game at Table Top Cafe off N high st. every other tuesday. Tuesday is their RPG night and while I don't have any open seats at my table right now, you should still come by sometime and check it out, there might be other groups running there that have some open slots.

Regardless it's good to know this place exists. Never heard of it before.
They have a great collection of board games as well, with no cover charge like kingmakers has. The coffee is good and they just started serving beer as well if that's more your thing. And DM's on tuesday nights get free snacks =D

This sounds amazing. I never even knew this place existed. Then again, I haven't been out to BnM shop since the days of Comic Town in Westerville....wait, no...I did make a stop at The Laughing Ogre a long while back. Might make my way down there to check the place out!
Just heard about a new gaming shop opening up at Tuttle Mall called Orc's Forge Games. A coworker of mine is friends with the owner. They're going to have a room for rent to do games. I will have to check it out.

Nice! Don't suppose they are hiring at all? Hahaha Would love to get a job at a shop like that.
I just noticed Table Top Cafe the other day and I plan on checking it out sometime soon, I've been wanting to join a group. Is there anything going on this Tuesday (3-28) that anyone knows about?
The place is usually pretty filled up on Tuesday nights that I've noticed. I'll be there Running my game this week, but I already have 7 players so not looking for more right now. I believe there is at least 1 if not 2 more 5e groups that play though that might be looking.
And there is always more room for more games to start up! I don't think any AL plays at table top though, since AL takes place at most every other shop. I could be wrong though.
I know this is long after you posted this, but I would be interested in starting/joining a group. I'm still pretty new to the system of 5e, but really like it so far. I could make a character or study up and be DM if a group was interested. Wednesday nights would probably be best for me.
I can personally say that Orc's Forge is going to be your best bet as far as local gaming stores. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly, the shop is spacious, clean, and atmospheric, and they have tons of events. They have Adventurer's League regularly, and are actively looking for DM's to run games and help represent the store in a positive way. I recommend you check it out! :)
Not that I have tons of time, but I would certainly be interested in being part of a Columbus area group. Also, seconding that Orc's Forge is amazing. Unfortunately, my Wednesdays are booked, so I can never make it to AL.
I know this was posted a while ago - but I am also looking for a group who maybe meets regularly and has room for 1 more player? Were you able to get a group together, or find any other groups that may be looking for players?
Unfortunately not. I'm still open to the possibility of joining, but work has taken the forefront of my time and attention lately so I just stopped looking. If we have a consistent group on here that would be interested we could talk about putting it together. Wednesdays/Thursdays work best for me.

I might be interested, but I'd like to know more. How much is it based on DnD? Is it essentially DnD with different mechanics? Is it a table top RPG, and that's where the similarities end? Somewhere in the middle? I guess a better question would be, if you had to describe the game without using DnD as a reference, how would you describe it?
Here is the game, It is called trinity..........its an open ended fantasy role playing game. It is d10 based, there is 4 classes........warrior,rogue,caster and trademen. Unlike DND just because you take warrior does not mean u dont know how to be sneaky or know how assassinate someone. you design your character based on skills. The main rule is if your gonna pick up caster and mutli class with lets say warrior you would not be able to cast the higher level spells due to the fact your unable to spend enough time learning the harder arcane arts.
I use DND as it is just a recognized terminology, I have created this as a role playing game instead of rising in level and hacking and slashing. Everyone that has ever seen the game love it, and in the final status before being launched in kick start and copy written......am finishing play testing.

Looking to start a regular/semiregular group to run some stuff that's not Adventurer's League :) Going for a warm, fun, atmosphere!
If you were doing something virtual I wouldn't mind joining in but I'm in NE Ohio and its about 3 hours to Columbus.
Were I not already in two games I would definitely be interested. If one of them blows up I'll let you know
