This is gonna be great! I assume this compendium is going to include monsters, classes, races and items from all the available books? If so this is gonna make DMing way faster.

Funny, I was just talking about a site and app like this a month or so ago with my gaming buddies. I mentioned how something like this would set D&D apart and put it a measure up over other RPGs. Love it, do more of it!
Excited for all of this! I look forward to seeing some of the more interactive functions. Will this come as an app as well? I really look forward to all of the potential functionality!
As everyone is saying, DDB already looks amazing and you've definitely put a lot of work to it and you clearly have an idea of how you want it to work once it's finished but what about us players?
I guess what I'm asking is once DDB is setup and running, how do you foresee this been part of our regular gaming sessions? Is this going to replace the pen, paper, books and dice or will this be a paid service that we can use as a data management asset? I know that this is only phase 1 and still early days but I'd really like to know what you guys have planned for after the beta.
Also, I'd like to know more about how DMs can get the most out of this as well. Is there going to be tools for mobs and encounters other than just having their stats?
Gamer, Japan lover, illustrator, gerd (geek + nerd = gerd,, :D ), love exploring the non tourist areas of Japan. My first time playing RPG 1986 I think and i got hooked right away and I am still playing and get frustrated when I can not play :D And since I often go to Japan and spend plenty of time there I miss out of precious RPG time.

I've been using one of the after-market computerised character sheets, and I can't use paper and pen anymore. All rolls are still dice-made, but I love the nice, neat, automatic changes and updates of the Excel CS I use as opposed to a piece of paper that's got 1047934 eraser marks on it. REALLY hoping that Phase 2 turns out worthwhile.

I know as a spell caster it's nice not to have to look up the specifics of a spell every time you need to cast. Also as a Druid who uses wild shape not having to look up beast stats would save our campaign so much time. I still would personally use real dice and my paper and pencil.
I have been so surprised that the internet was not good at DnD. But now the internet will be. Very excited.

This may, I stress may, get me away from pencil and paper. If it does, know I'll need a pencil in hand to feel 'normal'...
Im so looking forward to this.

Ready to make the history from Italy!!!
Hope this helps build new campaigns.
Always searching for new D&D Content! :)
Phase 1 is amazing so far. I cannot wait until Phase 2 comes out. Quite impressed so far.
Send word to HuroDash...
Rindartis will live on as long as The Slippery Nipple remains open for business. The scourge shall fall... Up the Irons!
Is there only going to be the web app available. It's looking great but honestly an offline option would be preferred.
If this is the future of D&D, then this is really awesome!
Great, look forward to this.
