As a DM currently running a game in my own custom world I'm interested to see what phase 3 will be like, wondering if it'll have custom rules for creating classes, spells, monsters etc.

DnD is such an awesome creation and I'm so happy to be a part of it. I love DnD and I think that this tool will be a great way for many of us players to develop new characters and have easier access to vast amounts of information. Good job WOTC!

woot! very excited to be part pf this, 5e has brought me back to the fold and i'm loving it. running 2 groups at present, something like this will really help me brng more new players into the family =]
I'm going to call myself excited, but in search of answers. It's the first day, ya'll are busy, but if we could get an update answering some the of FAQS here it would be MUCH appreciated. I think this is honestly a great move on WotC's part, players are using so many third party apps out there (I personally almost require my spellcasters to use apps to keep track of their slots and spell descriptions), and this gives both the players an official app with support and updates, but also gives WotC several opportunities, like charging for it's use.
I think the budding community would like to know the following:
-The biggest questions are about a mobile app and offline access, are/will they be available? If they will be will it be a part of the Beta or released with the full product?
-There's also a lot of people asking about timelines, I don't think we need a down to the minute answer, and the answer can certainly be flexible, but a general window of how long we have to use, peruse, and test things before a new batch would help.
-Will there be a subscription fee? A one-time purchase of the app/an account? What about those that have already purchased all the material already and feel this would be a great tool but can't justify more money?
-My big one personally: Is this all the info we're getting? Is there a free version and premium account to access the PHB, DMG, MM, EE and more? If not than you're really just giving us a character management tool, which is fine (don't get me wrong), but seems...underwhelming compared to the great things you COULD be doing.
Again, we appreciate the tool, really we do, but this info would go a long way with the community. And I think you may have to state it a few times, but most seem to know how Betas work, and know the answers can change. I'm personally stoked for this, I think it's going to make it so much easier to create new fans as nowadays an app is much more accessible and less complex than the pen and paper system (I have several young family members who spring to mind as interested, but hesitant about keeping up), but for a successful beta you gotta help us help you.
All in all, good move WotC, on behalf of the players, thanks for even taking this into consideration, a lot of companies wouldn't care about the community this much.
Have to agree. Happy so far but the real tests are yet to come. So far they have wrapped the same content available from dozens of other sites and apps in a admittedly attractive and easy to use package. However what I'm really concerned about is licensed content, offline access, player and DM tools, and costs. Here's hoping we progress quickly and successfully through the phases and these questions are answered to everyone's satisfaction.
I'm happy so far with what I see. Everything seems well organized and easily accessible. The main thing I'm looking forward too however is the Character Builder. Many players, especially new players, find it hard to keep track of and build their character with pen and paper sifting through pages and pages of books. I know that's the nostalgia of it, and is fine for advanced players, but it sure is hard to get new people involved without some mobile character builder to ease the frustration.
Sounds great, but I noticed that the official D&D adventures and supplements are not in. I can't search for Barovian hags nor can I search for the Wyrmskull throne. Maybe that can be an idea.
Is there a phone app for this?
I'm surprised too. Seems like to me the character builder will be the most popular tool.
looking forward to test this looks so cool.
This could be an awesome tool for a DM

Very nice looking interfaces for the pages and the info is presented in a great fashion. Super excited for the rest of the phases
So is there an app for this yet? I'm pretty damn stoked.
This is AWESOME you guys. I can't wait to see what you've got in store for us. Great job WoTC and Curse!! So proud!

Just an average metalhead who plays DnD in his spare time.
PbP Character: Roberta Thalan, Void Beyond the Stars Otherside
PbP Character: Primus Eidolon, Eotha 2
PbP Character: Usmor Illiqai, Tomb of Corrosion
PbP Character: "Templar" Danver, You're the Villains

Is there a 'like' button?
I would like to 'like' this.
Amazing! Wonderful UI system for the items/spells etc.
