Hello all, I have an ongoing Tyranny of Dragons campaign that needs a few more players. I am looking to recruit up to 3 players. We are currently just arriving to chapter 7 of the first book. The characters are at level 5.
Current characters are Artificer (Armorer) Cleric (Life Domain) Fighter (Echo Knight)
If you are interested, then please reply below with: Ability scores: reroll all ones. Name: Race: Class and subclass: (multiclassing is allowed) Background: Backstory: (Keep it brief. You will be joining the party at the hunting lodge, so we will work out a reason for you to be there. An option, if you want to include it in your backstory, is that you could have been following other shipments of treasure and have tracked it this far. That is something we can work out once you are picked though, so you don't have to worry about it here if you don't wish to.)
Equipment is standard starting gear plus one uncommon magical item. All content is allowed with the exception of homebrew.

Ability scores: 101413151317
Name: Fletch Silverquill Race: Kenku Class and subclass: Order of Scribes Wizard Background: Anthropologist Backstory: Fletch grew up as an apprentice to a local Hedge Mage named Gaddicus. He was an attentive student, listening in on his masters every word while also performing clerical duties. As a Kenku, Fletch has always struggled with his race's particular problem with spoken language, which has led him to study Anthropology and Linguistics as much as he's studied the arcane arts. Once he reached adulthood, Fletch set out to see the world for himself, hoping to find a means to gain his own speaking voice, or at the very least a way to make the lives of Kenku everywhere a little easier.
Personality: Fletch is naturally curious, bookish, and socially awkward. He tends to speak in a very formal and confident voice due to most of his vocabulary being copied from Gaddicus' lectures. This is in direct contradiction to his own personality, which tends to be on the timid side. He knows a great deal of history, but the ways of the world at large are a mystery to him in many cases. He is very pragmatic and logical, to the point where he will sometimes suggest courses of action that some would consider extreme or harsh. He doesn't make these decisions or points from a place of evil or anger though, simply logic without enough "human" experience to dull the edges. When he comes across something from an ancient civilization (or better yet, something that might help his cause to find his voice), he tends to focus on it at the cost of all else, essentially "nerding out" at the findings. The party could be in a dire situation as an example, delving into a dungeon, and Fletch will want to stop to take an etching of an interesting engraving. All of these are habits that I intend to have him grow past over time, but given he's a young adventurer, he's still fairly green in my estimation. He is currently looking for any and all lore or relics related to ancient magic, hoping to understand the cause of his races affliction in order to come up with a cure.
Name: Agatha Race: Human (variant) Class and subclass: Barbarian/Druid (Moon) Background: Outlander Backstory: Agatha's home is the outdoors. They are happiest when they can range far afield and just exist within nature's realm. They will often lead expeditions into the foothills and have been known to disappear for weeks, usually returning with mud (and a smile) on their face. To call them simple is, well, too simple. They found their joy early in life. "Lucky" is the more accurate term. Agatha understands all too well that a person is only as strong as their pack. Their family left them long ago -- abandoned or set free, they can't really say -- but they only feel true peace when surrounded by kindred spirits. When Agatha finds a group, they will doggedly prove their worth and defend each pack member furiously. They stop by the Lodge every few weeks looking for work as a guide.
Ability scores: 111616151810 Name: Vivenna Race: Gnome Class and subclass: Glamour Bard Background: Entertainer Backstory: Vivenna grew up on the streets with her father, and when he died she turned to thievery. One day, while sneaking into a pawn shop, she stole a set of bagpipes. She taught herself how to play during the nights while hiding on the rooftops. She eventually started playing on the strees, and managed to get a job in a tavern. As she played, she learned how to weave power into her music, and she eventually left to master her powers in the open world.
Name: Lysander Bottlebry Race: Halfling Class and subclass: Bard (Lore) Background: Noble Backstory: He grew up in a noble house, but despised the responsibility. He had a naturally wandering and curious mind, and he simply couldn't focus on all the politics and the blah blah blah. His brother was much more suited for it, and spent most of his time sitting in on important meetings with the court advisors. Lysander preferred to hang out with the court jesters and magicians. He would play his trumpet with them, and practice spells. They had been working in the noble house for years, but before that they were travelling adventurers and bards. They introduced Lysander to concept of battling enemies with words, and casting magic with song. He was enraptured by the idea of it. A life on the road, earning coin on dangerous missions. It sounded much better than a stale life in the castle. So, when he was 18, he left. He has been working part time as a singer and adventurer for 4 years now.

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past, I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone, there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
Race: Human Class and subclass: Rogue / Arcane Trickster Background: Guild Artisan ( Cartographer ) Backstory: Having born in a family of jewelers in Waterdeep, Wilhelm grew bored within the confined spaces of the city at a young age. Torn between satisfying his wanderlust and the pressure from his family about having a profession to earn his living, Wilhelm chose the middle ground: Joining the Cartographer's Guild. Completing his apprenticeship, Wilhelm starts visiting the locations on his maps, and perhaps improve or even chart new maps of his own. Such an expedition takes him to the Savage Frontier.

Name: Chance, Human Aberrant Mind Sorcerer, Urchin
Backstory: I'm from the streets of Waterdeep. I ran away from my orphanage when I was, 11 I think. This strange thing started shortly after: I got these headaches and started hearing voices. I thought I was going crazy until I figured out it was other people's thoughts. That's weird, right? Worst part is, every now and then I feel something slimy crawl across my leg or back or something, and nothing's ever there.
There was this guy in a robe, met me offering a job fit for a thief. That slime thing came up, worst feeling ever, and I felt my mind lash out. The robe guy died instantly. I thought, hells, I gotta get out of town. I found caravan guard work that could get me up north towards Neverwinter. About halfway to our destination... I think someone recognized me. There's these guys on the caravan, I read their thoughts early on, and they sounded like the guy that died. It's only a matter of time before they come for me. I don't think I'm going to make it to Neverwinter...

Name: Neven Race: Wood Elf Class and subclass: Blood Hunter - Profane Soul Background: Faction Agent Backstory: Neven was following some leads gathered by his faction that detailed treasure being hidden in forests of his kin. He's tracked it to a hunting lodge and is waiting to take action.

Al is pretty low on the totem pole at the alchemist’s guild. So when product started going missing and someone had to go look into the matter, Al was naturally voted to go. He’s not entirely happy about it, but what could he do? After all, his business wasn’t as respected as the others. Al’s love potions are always popular, but never respectable.
Backstory: Born in the Northern woods in a small Hamlet under the rule of Lord Hunlic Yoric Ger's great great grandpapa was a wear lynx and his family was renowned for their prowess in hunting and scouting. Geran joined the guard when he was 15 and was amongst a small splinter group of dwarven mercenaries who called themselves The Bloodaxes. Along with a goliath who was versed in the ruin knight ways. The giant taught him what he knew

The attack those years ago claimed most of her left arm, and with its wooden replacement she grips the necklace she was able to rescue like a lifeline. This lodge is just one more stop on her travels, another place to sleep in her fruitless mission to find a purpose, something else to do with her life. But it seems she's about to find that something.
