It was a quiet afternoon in Nightstone, so named for the massive chunk of obsidian that once stood in the middle of the village square. The obsidian megalith has strange glyphs carved into it. Each of you has found your way here for one reason or another. In pursuit of gold, for the benefit of the people and their Goblin plight, or maybe a more person agenda.
This is a small town surrounded by a moat and gaurded at 6 points with watchtowers. To enter you must be allowed across the Drawbridge. Nightstone is a town with homes for its few residents, a temple to Meilikki and Lathander, a Windmill, a wall surrounding it (on which the towers are spaced evenly), and of course the Nightstone Inn. On its own little island, across a wooden bridge is the Nandar Keep Where Lady Nandar herself Resides behind sealed gates with guards always present and on watch.
What are each of you doing on such a fine day?
(Bear with me if i fail to mention or describe something accurately enough as this is my first time DM-ing in this fashion. If you have any questions regarding environment or the setting in general feel free to ask.)

After Taliesin finishes performing for the crowd he begins to head towards the noble's mansion.
Along the way he makes a quick stop to investigate the arcane runes etched into the obsidian monolith, curious to see if there's anything he can learn from it.
Investigation check: 18 Arcana check: 12
After looking at the monolith he continues on his way to the noble's mansion (I may change this depending on the information I get from the monolith).
Calanon had already went into the inn and decided that was where he would stay for the time being as he wished to spend as little time under the sun as he could. For now he had hunkered down in his room, making sure he had locked it tight as he knew that many would not be keen on having a drow. While he had done his best to keep a low profile he knew that the dwarf behind the counter had seen his heritage when he rented the room.
Inside his room he went through the info he had on the town. It had a problem with goblins, a look of annoyance and possible disgust showing on the drow's face as he thought of the horrid little creatures. His face turned even more as he read over the details of a mediator being needed to deal with a disagreement with surface elves.... That was clearly out of the question as his surface cousins would rather kill him then take the chance of trusting a drow. 'This is going to be rather troublesome... but a job is a job.'

Beamer hurries to the bridge where he hopes to find Nander Keep and Lady Nander. It is reported that she pays well and he can use the money. He reaches the bridge and crosses hoping to gain favor and pocket some coin before heading back into his usual wanderlust.
Viclas, enters the inn to find is mostly empty, a few off duty guards and watchmen share a table for a drink talking quietly among themselves. There are plenty of seats available at the bar, behind which stands a Dwarvish man looking your way. Smiling broadly as you enter. My now, today's a busy one. Anything I can help you with? A drink? Or are ya lookin' for a room fer the evening?

The crowd claps as Taliesin bows out from his latest performance. Walking past the Nightstone you peer closely at the mystic carvings. They certainly are magical, no doubt. Yet their nature or purpose elude you.
As you approach the mansion you see a woman already at the gates talking with the guards there. The gates remain closed and you see the guards explaining something to the woman.

"Madam please do understand a Lady of Nadar's position rarely is free. Her time is consumed with the responsibilities of her station."
The guard continued on making the usual formal excuses as to why the Lady Nadar, who herself sent out the call to arms against the troublesome goblins, was not able to accept guests for the evening. You've had heard these all before. Even seen some used by your family themselves. You knew there'd be no getting an audience tonight. The guard had finished his explanation.
"Lady Tomoe, how would you proceed?" Asks one of your Squires.

As you booked your stay in nightstone the Dwarfs eyes may have lingered a little longer on you than other guests. If he noticed something amiss, he did not say. Nor had a squad of guards showed up at your door. With the info you've gathered one more day was all you needed. To seek an audience with Lady Nadar late tomorrow morning and secure your contract to take care of the towns goblin problems. Then you'd be paid and on your way from anymore unwanted prying eyes.

"Aye a few visitors more than usual lately. My guess would be that Lady Nandar's promise of Gold is drawing all sorts to our town. He says as he puts a Key with the number 5 on it on the counter, next to it a bottle of Cirton Clairet next to it with an empty glass. "Fer the room and a bottle of me wine that'll run ye 10 Silver."

Clearly Beamer is not going to find the Lady free this evening. He turns and heads to the Inn. I'll try again in the morning. I'm sure Lady Nander's reputation is not without merit. He says talking to himself. He looks around as he crosses the bridge to make sure he doesn't have an audience. Tomorrow then.
"Oh really? Are you here for the goblin job as well?"
Taliesin turns to the guards and says,
"I understand the lady must be a busy woman, do you gentleman (if any are women I address them as well) know by chance when she'd be ready for an audience with my friend and I? The sooner, the better preferably."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
With plans set up for the next day, Calanon made his way down to the main room of the inn once the sun had set. He found a table in a corner away from most of the other patrons, seemingly doing his best to try and hide in plain sight. He did however wave to get the bartenders attention, showing a few coppers to signal that he wanted to get some food and drink. He knew it would be on the cheap side but it would not draw much attention from others.
