"Well, much better than against the trolls..." Khessa comments, directing a final Fire Bolt to one of the fleeing bandits by way of farewell (OOC: I don't care if it kills him or not. .. it's just to give them food for thought on a possible change of profession).
“Once again you immediately ran to my side, didn't you, Eric?” the blonde arcane warrior notes, pleased, smiling at the dwarf cleric "It's a really nice feeling knowing you're always close to me!"
The tall adventurer then checks to see if there are any injuries among her companions... then she searches the bandit captain, since he won't need his possessions anymore...
Zale yells after the fleeing bandits brandishing her rapier, "THAT BE RIGHT YOU SORRY SEA SLUGS! THAT TEACHES YOU FOR MESSIN' WITH THE LIKES 'O US!"Clearing her throat she grumbles, "Cowards." Under her breath.
Wiping some of the blood from her rapier, she puts it away, making a mental note to clean it properly. "Thanks for the healin' Eric."She looks around, "Do anyone else be hurt?"
As his yell devolves into laughter, Kriv says in a mocking voice, “Hey, that caravan looks easy… Fools.”
Kriv heads back to the group and checks himself over, noticing a crossbow bolt stuck in his thigh. “Just a few scratches. Nothing too serious.” He tries to hide his wincing as he pulls it out.
Well, that was ridiculously easy! Briferhew comments. Anyway, let's move on.
The rest of the day goes by without incident. When the sun sets you make camp on the road because it's the only dry and flat part of ground near the Mere. (Take a long rest)
Zale does not notice Kriv wincing when he removes the bolt from his leg. In fact, she doesn't even notice that he did anything to his leg. Either she truly is cursed with obliviousness, or she's just too caught up with cleaning her blade to notice.
Khessa was checking to see if there are any injuries among her companions... she then notices that Kriv has received a wound; but considering that her friend seems to be pretending nothing happened, she believes that it shouldn't be anything serious.
(OOC: Also long rest atken. Did Khessa find anything of interest, searching the bandit captain's corpse?)
After a good night's sleep, the next day passes without incident. Briferhew notes that there is another day of travel ahead of us tomorrow and that we will reach our destination the day after.
Well... unless something happens to change her mind, at night Khessa will try to fly Anator into the hearing range of the cultists, in case they let slip some further indication of their destination or their plans.
Aside from that, she will continue to focus on her surveillance duties, keeping a suspicious eye on the desolate landscape.
Zale continuously fights the urge to sneak over and spy on the cultists. She knows that Khessa probably has her bat buddy doing that for her, so she reallly doesn't need to put herself at risk.
Instead she tries to entertain herself by actually doing the job she was hired for...which isn't really that entertaining. Nevertheless, she stays alert watching the landscape.

Whoops! I didn't notice the passage about the Bandit Captain in the first post and was ninja'd by your second post, so I understand you may think I'v been ignoring you. Anyway, the Captain has a Dagger, a Scimitar and a ruined Studded Leather.
Again the day goes by without incident. More dirty looks from the Cultist, but they seem happy that they're not the ones fighting to protect theit cargo.
On the last full day of the trip... I'll need Zale and Anator to make a Perception check.
Anator notices what looks like reptilian humanoids making your way. He thinks they know you are there too. They seem to be wielding Clubs, Javelins and Spiked Shields.
(OOC: We could have waited for Zale! Maybe she had 'perceived' more details... Lol!)
Khessa warns (speaking calmly, as if nothing had happened) the other members of the party (first) and of the caravan (immediately after) of the incoming threat.
"Shall we hurry and place the tanks in a circle, to form a barrier, so as to fight from an advantageous position?" the blonde arcane warrior proposes to Briferhew "At least we'd have some cover..."
If Briferhew prefers not to, the tall adventurer takes care to keep herself in the position from which the enemies are approaching - so as to be able to intercept them when they launch the assault.
(Ah dang. Sorry! Wednesdays are long for me so it can be hard for me to post.)
Perception if still relevant: CRITICAL FAIL! (Lol guess it doesn't matter since she will see absolutely nothing. XD)
"EH?" Zale says to Khessa when the tall woman warns of some oncoming lizardmen. "Really? I don't be seein anything. But Sure, sounds as good oh plan as any, and I can't be makin no plans meself if I can't be seein what the problem be."
"Anator may well have been wrong, Zale..." Khessa concedes "After all, his eyes are not as sharp as yours - he is used to using other senses... However, if he is convinced that he has seen these enemies. .. why take the risk? We might as well prepare ourselves - if nothing happens, we'll simply restart the journey".

Zale gets an eyelash in her left eye and doesn't see a thing. It's curious, because Dragonborn don't have eyelashes...

Good point... Briferhew agrees But what about our load and the teamsters... and workers? We have to protect the wagons. Maybe find a flat place of land to make a wagon fort. Briferhew continues while he speaks like he's talking about the weather.

Fire spirits stop their flying around Eric, leaving behind just scorched ground "This is what a shield does, remember?" winks the dwarf.
"We should try to travel the swiftest we can, these lands seem quite dangerous" he adds.
