Mina sits back and enjoys Tamryn's performance. Sipping on the mug she has, she doesn't add anything to the conversation, but waits for it to play out. What half-orc would refuse this offer? She smiles to herself as she waits, hoping the plan will work. She looks at Akyan..If you need me to cause a distraction, you know fall off my chair or something, for you to slip the stuff in their drinks, let me know.
Akyan makes no visible sign that he’s communicating with Mina as he responds, “I might, especially since the bartender is bringing the drinks herself. I’m waiting until they are at least a little drunk before trying anything.” He takes a drink from his own mug, though he make it look like he’s swallowing a lot more than he actually is.
Both eyebrows raise as curtains to his performance of feigned naiveté, "Oh! I did not realize running a shop in Athkatla was so perilous. Should our trade house set up a location here, it is good we met you." He offers his mug again in another toast, inducing more imbibing. (trying to get them to finish the first mug to order another) "Do you charge a retainer or is your security more of a daily wage? Could a business acquire your exclusive service if desired?"
Nogrith smiles toothily at Jhaartael's question, and begins to respond, "Oh? Well, we'd be happy to drop by your place and give you an estimate...."when Tamryn interrupts:
Tamryn says, "BOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIINNNNNNGGGGGGG!! What do you do for enter...inter...inmer...fun? I'm a gambler myself. Or, I should say, a WINNER!!" He shakes his moneybag joyously. "Efferyone knows that half-orcs r' lightweights. I bet that none of you can chug 3 steins of ale. To all my friends, I'll pay 5 gp to whomever can chug 3 steins of ale!"
The other three half-orcs all howl in mock outrage, and call for Nyla to bring their next two rounds immediately. Nogrith rolls his eyes.
The barmaid comes closer when signaled, and hearing the request, also rolls her eyes, but soon returns with two more mugs for each of the half-orcs. The leader, Nogrith, seems less inclined to participate in the 'contest' but the others are eager to defend their race's reputation.
Nyblond is watching all of this with the facial expression one would assume when observing a carriage full of passengers being pulled off a cliff by galloping panicked horses.
"C'mon "says Lyndaran to Nogrith "Are you going to let down your friends? They are going to need all the help they can get I assure you" he says with a smirk to him.
Seeing that the barmaid brought two drinks rather than just one and placed them in front of the half-orcs, Akyan sighs mentally. That made this harder. "Alright Mina, I'm going to need that distraction. Have anything in mind? We need to get them away from the drinks for a moment. Slipping this into four drinks without any of them seeing is going to be pretty difficult....Though, perhaps we could put it in our drinks. You take them and swap the mugs with two of theirs, then I only have to slip this into two of their drinks."
Tamryn, waveringly, stands up and raises his mug. "To the challenge, my compatriots! A toast! To Folden Gortune!" As he does this, he moves to drink his mug, spills it down the front of his shirt, gasps in shock, and misses his chair in an attempt to sit down.
"I might be able to provide a distraction as well," Kyrsa says telepathically to Akyan. She glances at Nogrith, "If that one doesn't want in on the drinking challenge, perhaps he'd prefer a different kind of contest."
She scoots over to where Lyndaran is talking to the other half-orc and says, "Oh come on. You can't blame one of them for being smart." She looks up at Nogrith, "There are other way's to prove yourself anyways, right?" She rests her elbow on the table as if preparing to arm wrestle, "What do you say? Its been a while since I've gone against anyone with any hope of beating me." She nods in the direction of the rest of the group, and nonchalantly pushes her mug out of the way hoping that he will do the same. "Not that either of us really have anything to prove. It would just be a friendly contest." She puts on her best smile, hoping that this actually helps move this plan forward.
"Alright then."Akyan replies to Kyrsa. Then he takes this opportunity to stand up and walk over to the other table. "Well, this might be interesting." He says as he positions himself in a place where he could reach all of the half-orc's drinks relatively easily, as well as make it look like he's just getting a better view of the upcoming contest. "Still need to draw their attention elsewhere."He says to both Kyrsa and Mina.
Tamryn, waveringly, stands up and raises his mug. "To the challenge, my compatriots! A toast! To Folden Gortune!" As he does this, he moves to drink his mug, spills it down the front of his shirt, gasps in shock, and misses his chair in an attempt to sit down.
The half-orcs howl with laughter at Tamryn's pratfall, each gripping their first mug, and then tipping it upward as both the beginning of the contest, and in appreciation of the entertainment. Even the minstrel in the opposite corner has stopped playing, as heads turn to see what all the commotion is about. Ultimately, even Nogrith cannot suppress an amused chuckle, and raises his drink as well.
Kyrsa ...scoots over to where Lyndaran is talking to the other half-orc and says, "Oh come on. You can't blame one of them for being smart." As Nogrith finishes his stein and places it beside the other two full drinks, he turns to regard Kyrsa. He snorts, "You want me to use my left arm, elf girl?" and looks ready for a contest of strength.
As the thugs raise their glasses and Nogrith looks at Kyrsa, they are all momentarily distracted. Akyan would have the chance to spike two drinks with a single Sleight of Hand roll, DC 12. To attempt the other two, he would roll again at disadvantage. Or he could wait for another moment of distraction.
Mina gets up from her chair as she notices that the thugs seem momentarily distracted. Hoping to help out a little more, she heads over to where the minstrel has stopped playing and on the way, she shouts to the half-orcs, particularly their leader, "Oy! You there, about to arm wrestle my friend, don't you think we need some music to assist with the contest? Any particular ballads come to mind that this minstrel here might know?" She looks to the friends, "Any ideas from you three? C'mon, we gotta make this a little more dramatic!"
She hopes this will get them all looking at her for the moment and provide a bit more distraction for Akyan.
Kyrsa laughs, "You know that means I'll have to use my left arm as well." She switches arms, twisting in her chair to get into a better position, "But if you think it increases your chances then go right ahead." Though outwardly she is smiling, inwardly she takes a moment to realize that even though she might be strong for an elf, she likely is still about to embarrass herself. Oh well, if this is successful she'll never have to see these people agin.
Glancing over at Mina, her smile falters for a moment as a couple songs run through her head. Most of them were either war ballads composed after pivotal battles, many of which she'd fought in herself. Others were songs shared between squad members while they awaited their time to march. Even though some of them might have been worthy of this moment, she did not wish to hear any of them. So, her smile returns as quickly as she had dropped it and she forces herself to look back at the half-orcs. "That's your decision fellas. I'm ready whenever you are." She aims her last words at Nogrith, flexing her left hand as she speaks.
Taking the opportunity, Akyan quickly tries to spike two of the drinks, one of which would be Nogrith's and the second would be whichever half-orc has not finished his first drink yet. He's hoping that all of the orcs will drink the spiked ale around the same time. However, he will wait for a better opportunity to spike the second two drinks.

"That's two," He says to Kyrsa and Mina, "I can probably get the other two, but I'd prefer to wait for a better opportunity..."

Startled, the minstrel reflexively plays a few bars of The Executioner's March before Nogrith calls out, "Tiefling! Play 'The Lady and the Cobra'!"
The minstrel nods and quips back, "Which one are you?" and then ducks as an empty stein is tossed at him. He begins playing a sinister melody that evokes a hunter creeping up on its prey, about to strike.
Nyla is beginning to look worried, and goes over and whispers something to Tiny and Jake, who swivel their beady eyes to observe your tables.
Kyrsa laughs, "You know that means I'll have to use my left arm as well." She switches arms, twisting in her chair to get into a better position, "But if you think it increases your chances then go right ahead." Nogrith extends his left arm in the traditional arm-wrestling pose, waiting for Kyrsa as he chuckles nastily. (Athletics roll 22 )
Akyan, meanwhile successfully laces two of the half-orc's drinks with the sleeping draught.
A fly lands on Nogrith's nose, momentarily distracting him, and Kyrsa seizes the moment, grabbing his hand and slamming it down on the table with a loud thump! The half orc is too stunned to speak, and his companions all start to choke and cough on their ale. Finally, he sputters, "Whoa, I... I wasn't ready! Do-over! I call Do-over!"
All the female humanoids in the tavern begin to cheer wildly, and blow raspberries at Nogrith, and any other male tavern-goers nearby. Even Nyla gets caught up in the moment, hooting with glee at the thug captain's discomfiture.
The minstrel starts singing something about a bull becoming a steer.
Keeping an eye on Akyan Lyndaran tries to cover him grabbing the other two half-orcs by the shoulders and pushing them a little bit forwards using his weight... as if he cannot stand by himself.
"HAHAHAA haf you seen that?? She wom!! She won!! hahaha"
Akyan also seizes this opportunity to slip the draught into the last two drinks.
Slight of Hand: 22
Once done, he steps back a bit and crosses his arms, "Heh, you were doomed from the start my friend." He says to Nogrith, "Fraya here hasn't lost a mach as long as I've known her."
"Alright, I got the last two."
