Alex finally manages to get ahold of himself---of course, now Cezars is too far away to hit. Shugo's attack misses, however, Renar's attack doesn't. The icy beam hits the gryphon square on her wing and she plummets down to the ground, along with her two other passengers.
9 fall damage.
"AHHHHH!" The three crash land right on the spot, they tumble a bit before finally coming to a stop about 10 ft from where they originally were on the last round. They already looked beaten up beforehand, and the fall knocks all of them cold... including the halfling merchant too.
Combat Over
The three seem to be breathing and alive, but they're barely conscious. The gryphon softly whines and so does Cezars, face-planting on the ground. Only the top half of the halfling merchant can be seen, the other half is crushed under the gryphon's body, but all three of them show no signs of major injury. A healing spell or waiting for a few moments should wake them up.
You have ropes, which you can use to tie up Cezars and his gryphon, but it isn't fireproof.
If anyone goes to inspect the halfling's cart, they would see a (DC10 Investigation):
Cezars was right, there is a black feather on top of one of the many wooden barrels on the cart. In total, there are 10 barrels, which is odd, since a typical merchant would fully load their cart with the maximum amount of goods they can carry, this particular model has a maximum capacity of 12 barrels, which means two of them went missing.
On the ground, there are three footprints: two bird-like ones and one claw print, the trail leads toward the 'abandoned' farmhouse up on the hill, and the marks end right at the front door, which means whoever left this behind went inside some time before Cezars came here.
From your earlier observation, it doesn't seem like the halfling merchant was lying either.
Soon enough, the sky begins to darken. The wind starts blowing stronger and dark clouds cover up Muphrid, you see a flash of light from above, and the bang of thunder echoes in the distance. Such is the Summer in Kerwos, too much rain and not enough sunshine.

Alexander, relieved that they managed to take Cezars down before he could get away, glides over to where Renar is trying to pull the halfling out from under the fallen griffon. He helps the shifter pull her out, and places a hand on her shoulder. A soft glow emits from his palm, and he heals her for (5hp: Lay on Hands), before sinking backwards in exhaustion.
With a long breath he says, "Thanks for backing me up guys. That was... pretty stupid of me to rush in there like that." He looks down at his hands, realizing that while he'd done more than he had in their first fight, he still hadn't done nearly as much as the others. But, that's in the past, now they have to deal with their new captives, "Sorry for getting you all wrapped up in this mess. Cezars might be in the wrong, but there is not telling if this will backfire or not. I think we should take him to the Church at the capitol, and see what can be done there. There's... no guarantee we'll get the outcome we want though, and if you all don't want to be there when I take him in... just in case this lands me in prison... well I won't blame you."
He takes a length of rope and begins binding Cezars, hopefully the fact that he is a fire genasi doesn't mean he can just... up and burst into flames and get free. They'll have to watch him closely. "We... should probably hobble the griffon, and tie her wings down so she can't escape."
He stands up, glancing back at Shugo and Venet, "Does anyone else need healing?" His wings slowly disintegrate as he turns to the Dragonborn, "...Thank you for your help. This definitely would have gone poorly if you hand't shown up when you did."
Shugo skids to a stop cringing when the three hit the ground. THAT had to hurt. He plops down cross-legged on the ground when Renar and Alex pull the halfling out from beneath the griffon. He'd been pretty much useless in that fight. Well, at least they saved pelmeni lady. He sets his sword on his lap and watches the others restrain the jerk and his bird, and shakes his head when asked if he needs healing. "Nope, the only thing that hurts is my pride." He says cheerfully, "Though I don't much like the idea of you going to that Church alone. Not to mention we have to somehow get this guy all the way there without raising an alarm. I can make one of them invisible...but I can only use spells so many times a day. I'm no mage Haha, and I was thinking I could go in with you so long I'll be unseen."He shrugs, then he looks over at the dragonborn, "Anyways, what's your story? You look just as foreign to this land as I do."

Hmm... *His fox ears once again twitch when he hears thunder rumbling in the distancer* It seems like the storm is coming. The thing is... where are we gonna hide and take shelter after we tie up Stupid Rixi and his griffin? Then again, Fire is weak to Water after all, so if the rain is heavy enough, he won't be able to burn down the rope to some degree. Well I mean, Rixi obviously points that out a million times already; Basic elemental knowledge. *He helps Alex tie up the convicts* "We should. Also, leave that stupid oathbreaker tied up in the open out in the upcoming storm; If it rains heavily enough then there's less of a chance he'll be able to break free whilst he gets soaked. That doesn't mean we shouldn't let our guard down from wherever we're hiding though."
With a long breath he says, "Thanks for backing me up guys. "What are you apologizing for? If anything, we all wanted to kick his butt too, after hearing the atrocities he committed."I scoff with a sour tone as I turn my gaze towards him... The thing is though, I noticed that Alex felt heavily burdened by the fact he wasn't able to do much. Well, he did do something of value, it's just that we nearly underestimated Stupid Rixi so he didn't really get a chance. *He slowly paces towards Alex before he grabs his shoulders with his clawed hands and lunges towards his ear to whisper something, before he briefly walks off with a huff*:
He shrugs, then he looks over at the dragonborn, "Anyways, what's your story? You look just as foreign to this land as I do."
Yeah... speaking of healing... "Alright... like the others I kinda of appreciate the healing and the extra help you gave us out of the blue. But..." *He steadily holds his katana in a two-handed defensive position as he glares at the dragonborn* "...That doesn't mean we should take you lightly from this point onwards. Besides if you're trying to prove that you're on our side, who on earth are you actually? And are you also here for the ruins?"

Taliyah bows her head towards Alexander and Renar. "Honestly, I'm just glad to have made it here in time. I've been getting ominous dreams about this crossroads for months now from my patron. Something about things here potentially going wrong if the group of people here fighting didn't receive help, and yes I'm far from my home country of Lower Sehul." She stows her staff on her back, and Pixel flies towards Janina. "That looked like a nasty fall you took, do you need any extra healing?"
The halfling merchant wakes up after Alex heals her, she slowly opens her eyes and sits up. "Ugh... W-what was his problem?" She glances at Cezars, who's now all tied up and secured, "I gave these guards free beer and this is how they thank me, how rude."
She tries to stand up... and immediately falls face-first to the ground, her right foot seems to bend in a weird direction. "AHH! OW, OW, OW! My leg!" Most of her body shows no sign of injury, Alex's healing does work, but it might not be enough.
The halfling sits up again, "Ugh... at least it's not my hand that got injured like this, I think I can walk it off... hopefully, save your healing for your friends, lady." She nods at the Dragonborn, then she points to herself. "I'm Janina, you lot have met me already, but not you, though, you're completely new here. I was driving my cart to Madura, you know, the capital of Duchy of Rauna, then this guy just swoops in and you've probably seen what happened earlier. Elmars ordered a dozen kvass barrels for his wedding, I'm not sure how he would react if he saw one of his men doing this to his supplier, but..." She crosses her arms and scoffs, "This will probably be the last time I ever supply him with my products. If that Birdie can't control his men, then how can I be sure that something like this won't happen again?"
She is about to continue, when she feels a raindrop falling on her head, then another, and another. Soon enough, it rains hard, as if God just dumped a barrel of water on Lancea. It isn't windy, but the rain blankets the terrain, you can barely see the horizon.
"Oh, crap, the cart!" She points towards the cart about 110 feet from the group, "We have to find somewhere to secure it, can't let this batch go bad!" She scans the surrounding area left and right, and that's when she sees the farmhouse. "There!" She points, "Seems like it isn't occupied... just get the cart there first, worry about me later!"
Even though it's raining, the three footprints are still there, but it's fading quickly. Doesn't matter, though, you can remember it, and that farmhouse might not be as abandoned as it looks.
But... there isn't any other building in sight, and the rain makes it hard to see even the surrounding area. It's either letting the barrels of kvass go to waste or deal with the bandits, there isn't that much option here.

Why did he run away and leave here there?! Why had he been acting like such a coward?! GAH! If only he had a bow! Right now all he can do is chuck darts at they guy. He shakes himself. If Alex and that dragon lady manage to land a hit, then pelmeni lady might fall. Someone should be there to catch her! Plus...he could also throw a few more darts...
Running like the wind, he dashes after Cezars chucking another dart once he gets close enough.
to hit: 14
Damage: 6
"WAIT WHAT NO NOT FOR ME! HER!" *Points at the hafling in case he accidentally damaged her in the process, though he did appreciate the healing to an extent.*

DAMN IT! IS SHE ALRIGHT?! DID I GO TOO FAR?! *As soon as the trio collapse to the ground Renar's golden eyes returned back to normal as the ethereal glow leaves them; His katana and blurring effects also stop emitting the effects he turned on since the start of the battle as he scampers to try and make sure the halfling is ok*
"No... no no no no no! HEY! ARE YOU STILL THERE?! ANSWER ME!" *He grits his sharp teeth as he tries to pull the halfling out of the wreckage but he's long exhausted from this entire fight and is feeling really weak to do so* "Ugh... I can't... I can't pull her out! I can't heal her..." Now that combat has finally ended, it feels super painful to not be of any use anymore... Seriosuly, Rixi, Yuri, Daisy... if they were there she would have been in good shape in a few hours flat!

I'm no mage Haha, and I was thinking I could go in with you so long I'll be unseen." He shrugs, then he looks over at the dragonborn, "Anyways, what's your story? You look just as foreign to this land as I do."
Venet runs up, a little out of breath but all together unscathed. "No, I'm fine. Do you guys need healing? I have some energy left."
"What are you apologizing for? If anything, we all wanted to kick his butt too, after hearing the atrocities he committed." I scoff with a sour tone as I turn my gaze towards him...
"You did well, my friend."
Yeah... speaking of healing... "Alright... like the others I kinda of appreciate the healing and the extra help you gave us out of the blue.

If you succeed an Investigation check from earlier.
