Lev looks upward, then at his glaive, and then frowns... this is going to be a bit of a pain. Climbing with a polearm... not the best idea but oh well. Shrugging, he does his best to secure the glaive to his back before moving to also climb up... but then pausing. He could wait and make sure everyone gets up just in case the kobolds end up stumbling upon them as they make their ascent... but what if there is something waiting for them outside of the dome?
Eventually he decides to just go ahead and start climbing, might as well since it likely will take him longer due to the cumbersome gear he's carrying.
Amdaeng is able to hear some quiet talking below near the river. It’s in draconic, but kobold for sure. Then Amdaeng sees what has Ning so worked up. A huge white weasel with a kobold rider. There is definitely a group near the external entrance.
Vydar agrees with the idea of escaping through the dome. He's not in the mood for another fight. Eyeing the vines, as the some of the others climb up before him. He waits for at least two of them to make it up before he attempts the climb.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Zarbyn sees some of his allies shimmy up the vines and make it look easy. He decides to try the one with the knots now tied in it.

In a whisper, "Hopefully the kobolds find the traps here as deadly as they were to the Toa-Suo."

"A rightful place awaits you in the Realms Above, in the Land of the Great Light. Come in peace, and live beneath the sun again, where trees and flowers grow."
— The message of Eilistraee to all decent drow.
"Run thy sword across my chains, Silver Lady, that I may join your dance.”
With the help of those above, Iolinder and Zarbyn are able to get to the doom's ledge.
The palace is built into a mountain. The Kobolds are waiting near the entrance. From the voices, there are a good amount of them
From the dome, you can either go down and around, but will still need to follow the river back down from the ruins, or you can try going up the mountain and around the back.
With the Crampons, this task would prove much easier than if you just climb without aid.
So far, the Kobolds have not made any indication that they have seen the group.
The mountain: (Your group is behind the rectangular temple, where a doorway on the side of the mountain goes in (A sort of back entrance). The gray is the way you came in, so in theory, you could go up and around the back.)
It's a huge relief to Lira to be out in the fresh air again. Surveying the scene below, she crosses her arms thoughtfully. "I think up and around the back would be the safest bet. I have pitons and rope. Maybe the strongest climbers can go first, set up ropes to help the others?"
it was cold in the palace, but it is colder outside. Snow covers the ridge, and the wind blows. It’s bitter cold biting through your clothing. It also may help, in that noise is concealed a bit.
She believes if everyone attaches their crampons to their shoes, the group should be able to traverse to the back of the mountain and get down that way. With any luck, the kobolds won't see you with all of the cover of the mountain and structures.
The group climbs up and then around the mountain to the backside. It is easier going down than up.
After about one hour, you get back to the base. So far, no sign of the kobolds, but you have no doubt they will try to find you and pursue.
You are approximately 1 hour from the Toa-Suo camp. Based on Storms Notes, cache 4 may be a challenge. Between the Coven of Eternal Winter and the Cult of the Dragon King, you are certain you will encounter one if not both groups, especially since now you possess 2 of the artifacts.

Apparently the gear doesn't hinder him at all.

Amdaeng points to the group of kobolds for Levs benefit and then looks for a way down that will avoid the kobolds....

Zarbyn is unable to climb up on his first try.
He hears talking from his west (outside the hall and door leading in.
((Has Lira made it up? Edited her last post with advantage instead of making a new one.))
(Lira and Vydar make it up)
Lira will help look for the best path down to avoid any kobolds, using the terrain to their advantage to stay hidden.

"Looks like we should be alright if we all use our crampons."
Vydar nods, glancing down towards the kobolds. Then he pulls the crampons out of his pack and prepares for the climb.

Lira keeps an eye out for kobolds or other enemies as they proceed, feeling rather exhausted from all of the climbing she's done today.

Iólinder took a moment to catch his breath.
'Back to the Toa-Suo camp then, I presume?' He asked in between stretching and bending his limbs to get some more feeling into them.
