"Ouchhhh!"Chase exclaims, rubbing her sore bottom. Regardless, she stands up quickly and looks worriedly through her pockets. She extracts an arrow of elven design and, looking relieved, glances at Scratch. Phew! For a moment, she feared the heirloom they weren't supposed to get their paws on - let alone take out of their home - had been broken in the fall. Storing it back safely, she informs the others. "Hey! That clown says he is Juni's daddy! He wants to take her back home! I don't want him to take Juniper away from us! We gotta take her back!"
[As a child I'd say you haven't developed anything past what the child creation rules explicitly states.]
Lex gets this feeling of dread and terror as if something is creeping up behind him, but try as he might he is unable to turn around. The creature slowly reaches out to touch him, but stops short.
As Lex stands there looking in the direction of his friends, unable to move, he feels something being pulled from his body. Unable to stop what is happening, the feeling of fear grows deeper and deeper.
Just as fast as the creature had appeared, it is gone. Lex finds himself able to move, but has no memory of what just transpired. Aside from the residual dread, Lex feels as if something is missing and something darker has taken its place.
As the rest of you clamor back to your feet, the lot of you notice a goblin daubing paint onto the canvas of a wagon. As he finishes painting his mural, it seems to come to life on the canvas.
Isy is very reluctantly staying with the group, but is still looking around. When Chasesays that they need to get Juniper back, she quickly agrees, "That clown looks mean. We can't let him take her home." She is then immediately distracted by the goblin's painting, "Look at that! Its so pretty! Did he just paint it?"
Wooo, look at that! pointing to the living painting. How do we save Juni? We could always knock on the clowns door and ask if he's seen our missing pet?
Scratch laughs as he collapses under the combined weight of Chase and Illuwen. But when he spots Chase making sure nothing had happened to the arrow, the male tabaxi rummages around in his sack and pulls out a knife. After a quick inspection, he puts it back away and breathes a sigh of relief before getting back to his feet. He narrows his eyes while looking up at the caravan, ignoring the oohs and aahs over the mural. He reaches up and scratches an ear as he mulls over what Chase overheard. "Do you really think the clown's Juniper's daddy?" His features twist into a look of regret. "I don't want to lose Juni either, but if he's her daddy ... " He lets the sentence trail off as he continues thinking about the situation. "Maybe we should knock," he says finally. He looks at his twin to see what she thinks.
Illuwenlands on his hands and knees after the tumble, crying out in pain. Soon the pain is forgotten as he is distracted by the painting coming to life across the way. "Whoa, how did they do that?"
He stares at the painting, entranced, for several moments until Chandler's query brings him back to the current dilemma. "We're not s'posed to have Juni. If the bad clown tells our parents they'll take her away. Maybe if we can get in we can take her back when he's not looking." He begins wandering around the side of the caravan, looking for some potential point of ingress.
Isy see Lex across the way, and waves him over to the rest of them. She quickly fills him in on what they heard, then joins the rest in looking for a door.
Lex sees Isy waving, shivers a bit, then smiles and makes his way over toward her. He listens, and begins peeking around and under the caravan to see if there is an entrance somewhere with the others, but steals a glance back towards where they had come from, a dark fog clouding his thoughts, like he had forgotten something, but what was it? Maybe it wasn't important...maybe...
Chase's eyes widen as Scratch checks his knife, and follows with another relieved breath. No heirlooms broken today, phew! Their parents would ground them indefintely if something happened to that arrow or that knife. She replies to her twin, "But he can't really be his real dad, can he? He doesn’t even have a single feather! Though..." She pauses, thinking for a moment "...he might be sad if he lost Juni. Mum and dad would be if anyone took us away, wouldn’t they?"
In any case, the orange Tabaxi doesn't linger on the thought for long, because she follows Chandlerand Iluwen’s gaze toward the painting that has come to life, and gasps, "Magic!!!"
Rolling a d20 here. Even: she can't help it and goes to examine the painting. Odd: she follows the children to look for the caravan door.

"How did that goblin do that!?", she muses as she ignores the rest of children and runs towards the goblin. "Hi! I'm Chase! How did you do that?", she asks excitedly while extending a fur-covered finger, the soft pad at the tip brushing against the surface of the painting.
You see this goblin is wearing medium blue trousers, a light blue button up shirt tucked into his trousers with his sleeves rolled halfway up his arms, darker brown curly hair that almost forms into a ball shape on his head, and a well-manicured full beard that comes down from his hair and goes around his mouth and extends out from his chin.
"Oh this? It's just a bunch of happy accidents. You just have to relax and..." he trials off as he looks in your direction and notices you do not have a set of fairy wings. "Oh my. This isn't good. You have to get out of here as soon as you can. I have to go." He darts inside his caravan and slams the door behind him, and you hear five or six clicks as he locks his door.
When Chase hurries toward the mural, Scratch notices it for the first time. He follows his twin, looking over the very interesting picture. The tabaxi rubs his pink eyes, sure they are playing tricks on him. How does it look like it's come to life? Chase had cried "Magic!" and that's certainly what it appears to be. He vaguely hears his sister and the goblin exchange a few words, and when the goblin retreats, Scratch finally looks over. "That was weird," he comments, looking back at the mural. It isn't until he hears a small intake of air from Chase that he pulls his eyes away from the painting. He looks over to see her standing stock still, a look of surprise on her face. "Chase?" he says, starting to smile. Part of him thinks she's playing a joke, so he's prepared to laugh, but another part of him is concerned.

[Just to clarify, there is only a shuttered window facing the boardwalk. You have not seen a door to this caravan yet.]

Confused at this interaction you turn to head back to your friends, and as you do you see this pale skinned girl who had been standing directly behind you (now in front of you). She is wearing a pig mask and is holding a large lollipop. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1rq7RgY14TEFUP9xxIdJBEYzPWHSQ6g1d/view?usp=drive_link
