Working together, with Bella sneaking up quietly, so as not to spook the goats further, and Seruk using his flying cat to aid in finding any lost goats, the group is able to figure out where they are all. Getting them back together proves to be a bit harder though. Reginald tries to herd them, but falls short, and Aria tries to sooth them back with music, but also is unable to get any sort of reaction out of more than a couple of the goats. It is not until the goat farmer himself is pulled up on Reginald's broom, that you are finally able to make progress towards gathering the herd back together.
You have managed to get the herd together, and can all now take a long rest.
Once dawn breaks Reginald will help Last Tree make some breakfast and then have a conversation with the Goat Herder, "Maybe on the next night we should tie the Goats down to something, will that be difficult to do or just make our lives even more miserable?"
Reginald's discussion with Pinchwit seems to be just the thing. Using this method, you are able to keep the goats together at night, and move on towards Phandalin without any further issues.
Arrival When you arrive in Phandalin, Pinchwit scurries off to Barthen’s Provisions to finalize the deal. You are free to go to the merchant’s establishment with her, or they can explore the town, picking up a wagon and the supplies needed by the town of Leilon.
Either way you are greeted as heros wherever you go. Townsfolk who know you, from your work here previously, offer free food and drink, with plenty of handshakes, pats on the back, and requests for autographs.
What do you want to look into while in town? I assume a stop at the franchise HQ here, but anything else?
Bella follows Seruk to the branch office to check in, then she melts into the crowd to explore the town, looking for any opportunities to...enrich herself that come along.
HQ (Seruk, Bella, and Aria...) Kass greets you as you reach the old manor, now converted into your Phandalin HQ. The mastiffs are doing well, and the place seems much as you left it. A new doorframe has been added though, and it is clear that this is where Seruk's disk is suppose to be attached. Kass gets you up to speed on the important items of town news, mostly that storms have been getting worse, a few people actually getting hit by lightning recently. There also have been some people going missing around town, and no one able to discover what happened to them. She suggests you spend some time talking to the various businesses in town, and seeing if you can learn anything of what is going on.
Reginald You follow the gnome to Barthen’s Provisions. The gnome starts a quick and lengthy dialog with the older man who owns the store. Reginald sees the two who help out in the store, and recognizes them from earlier trips here. Reginald, please give me an insight check.
Everyone, remember you have to purchase horses, wagons, and viles of holy water while in town. Lionshield Coster would have horses, the Mining Exchange will have carts, and the Shrine of Luck will have the holy water.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"I'll do the talkin'," says the halfling. With that Bella strolls out, heading for the market section of town. On her way, she finds a secluded place to hide for a bit to change her appearance.
Stealth 20+4
Once she's satisfied she's hidden, she takes a few minutes to alter her appearance to that of a nondescript male halfling.
Disguise 4+1
When she's finished, she checks herself in her mirror. Satisfied, she unhides herself and continues on the way to market, keeping an eye out for opportunities to enrich herself...pouches, small valuables on market tables, the usual. She does not neglect to look for watchful guard-types and other squares, and also her fellow company members.
Seruk goes about installing the disk and verifying everything works appropriately. (If we're able to teleport via this door, would we be able to take the supplies back that way? I can't remember if we'd discussed that earlier.)
Seruk The wagons will not fit through the door, so you assume those will have to make the trip back, but it will only take a day's travel, via wagon, to get there, not the seven days it took you, as you won't be herding goats through the wilderness.
Reginald Something about one of them is off, but you simply cannot put your finger on what it is. With a shrug you figure it is likely not worth worrying about.
Bella It is like taking candy from a baby. Not even a real test of your skills. As you head towards the shops, you are able to snag 3 belt pouches and an ornate dagger. Inside the pouches you find 9 gold coins. The dagger you expect is worth 25 gp on its own.
Once the interaction is done Reginald will once more look over the ones he interacted with and then scratch his head. The he will turn to the gnome receiving the payment, "Thank you for your service that was an interesting trip. If you ever need help again by all means look us up."
Then he leaves and will linger around the town checking with the townsfolk to see if everything is going well and if the mayor, or whatever they wish to call him, is still worthless and self-centered as before.
Update It is actually getting into night now, as you traveled to get here today. With the gnome's work with the general store owner, and the others getting filled in by Kass, it would definitely be getting later. With this in mind it might be better to do the wagon, horses, and holy water the next day.
Bella You arrive at the two merchant shops in town just as Reginald exits with the gnome. Reginald heads off towards the Stonehill in, while the Gnome moves off to speak with friends from Phandalin. Both shops are still open, though the hour is getting late.
Reginald You head off to the Stonehill in, as it is likely the best place to hear what has been going on around town. Many people you pass greet you with friendly smiles and claps on the back. A couple walk with you towards the inn, saying they will buy you a pint for all of the aid you gave the area with the dragon.
Bella darts stealthily into an alley between a couple of buildings to remove her disguise then moves into the nearest business, putting on her best face as she moves somewhat slowly to the counter, all the while examining the shop for anything which it might be useful or profitable for her to procure later, as well as alarms or traps she would have to avoid or otherwise circumvent, while at the same time looking like she's doing nothing of the sort. She takes a little more time than strictly necessary, using practiced movements and the very layout of the store to hide her castings of Guidance.
Stealth 30+4
"Greetings, Shopkeeper," she says with a warm smile and little bow. "I am Bill, a recent addition to the company of the Dragon. Perhaps you've heard of the organization? We have just learned of the unfortunate disappearance of some of the towns folk. Sad business, that, and one we want to look into. Do you know of anyone who went missing? Have you heard of anything that might be helpful? Anyone new in town, other than myself, of course," she says with a self-deprecating smile. Her companions would have been amazed at the change in both her manner and speech--so much more polished than usual. "Anything at all would be helpful, no matter how seemingly trivial it might appear."
Perception 21+1 Deception 21+1: This is to deceive the shopkeeper that she is not, in fact, casing the store, and also to convince him that she actually gives two-hoots about some missing people.
Bella Are you in the general store or the Lionshield Coster? The general store has provision-type supplies, while the Coster has adventuring supplies. Need to know which store before I can see how your questions are taken.

Aria starts to play a soothing song on her lute hoping to lure some of the goats back now that the songs of combat have faded.

Seruk would just head to HQ and check in on things and ask about the teleportation method to the new branch office.
Reginald would accompany Pinchwit and check on the goings on of the area.
