You move along, Kale scanning the shelves for interesting books. He does not notice anything too noteworthy before...
A brief tremor shakes the bookcases, and knocks some from the shelf. Then another, which sends a case crashing to the floor. A moment’s pause, and then a giant worm breaks through the floor of the library, teeth oozing poison.
"I be glad you be keepin' yer spirits up, me frens!" Merric calls as his weapons appear in his hands, his own poisons glistening on the blades. "Tis a nasty beasty we be facin...very poisonous...I would luv teh get me some when the beasty is slain."
Whitegaze will keep his shield for this fight and move forward swinging his flail twice and then giving Merric an opening for a quick strike.

Commander’s Strike
When you take the Attack action on your turn, you can forgo one of your attacks and use a bonus action to direct an ally that can see and hear you to strike using its reaction, adding the superiority die to the damage roll. 9 (Don't forget you'll get sneak attack on that one as well as on your turn.)

Merric dashes in, blades flashing, aiming for a point near the middle, to hopefully confuse the beast a little. He moves in silently, weapons stabbing at just the right moment. I'm wishin' I had the time to craft the wyvern's poison. That would've been worth me time to apply.
After striking, he disengages, moving away from the deadly, purple, thing.
ooc: I don't know how far away Merric was from the Purple Worm, but whatever's left of his 35' of movement will be used to move away, as stealthily as possible.

“Stop and stare! You think you're moving but you go nowhere! You start to wonder why you're here and not there - But motion ain't what you need! Oh, just stay there and bleed!“
As the song ends, he casts hold monster (WIS 18) on the worm.

Where do you see that? I’ve re-read sneak attack 3x now and see an extra attack.
it‘s Commander‘s strike from Whitegaze ?forcing/allowing? you to make another attack as your reaction this turn. I don‘t know if you can sneak atk more than once on a turn but if you can whitegaze is still right next to it.

Commander’s strike lets you use your reaction to take an extra attack on my turn, and since sneak attack is once per turn, not round, you get sneak attack on it.

Kale's good to go. Also he'll be keeping an eye out for interesting book titles or hidden treasure on the shelves as he goes.
Investigation: 22
I'm assuming Kale's summoned billy goat is still clopping along behind them, let me know if it's not.
All good. Whitegaze is definitely out of his element here.

Whitegaze laughs briefly, "There's a chance you may get some sooner than that!"
Everyone go ahead and post actions. You all go before the worm...
