Watching Whitegaze pummel the worm, Merric grins fiercely. "Aye, we be quite dangerous our ownselves!" Dashing back in, Merric stabs again with The Wicked Blade, hoping to again score a hit against a vital part of the worm.
The Wicked Blade Attack: Unable to parse dice roll. Damage: 17 plus Sneak Attack 24
ooc: Unfortunately, not a critical strike but still more damage

Going to be a bit busy today with appointments, so probably won't get this one moved along much. Will try to resolve the round at some point, but it might not be till tomorrow.

can you fix the above?
ooc: that's weird. It showed up in the original post and I guess got jacked during the edit.
Attack: 14 Damage: 15 plus 24 Sneak Attack dmg from original roll
As Lia casts her spell the purple worm falls to sleep... Do you continue to attack, to get the poison Merric wishes, or do you move along while it sleeps?
Lia just has such a high initiative her spells are devistating the encounters...
Lia just has such a high initiative her spells are devastating the encounters...
Lia just has such a high initiative her spells are devastating the encounters...
ooc: Yes, I've noticed. What's her initiative bonus?
ooc2: Let me see if I understand this. Lia had the highest initiative and used it to put the creature to sleep...but you didn't post that action until we all did our posts, despite her being the first to go and her action effectively rendering ours...pointless and a waste of our time? On top of that, her action meant that unless we wish to wake a very dangerous purple worm our encounter is over? Also, having not posted Lia's actions until the end of ours, though she went first, she chose an action designed to make our work meaningless. Do I understand that?
Sorry about that. I can remove Lia from these encounters if that would be better for the group. In all honesty i don't even look at her spells until I am resolving the round. As it was with the Night Walker, I use the best spell I can for the encounter. It just ends up making it finish that encounter.
Her initiative is +8, but she also has advantage on that check.
If you truly are irritated about it, then I'll just remove Lia from the game and we can continue on without her in it. I agree it has made these last few encounters tedious for you as players, as I ask for actions that don't even get to be used.
OOC: I can’t speak for anyone else but I don’t know if I’m that irritated. After all, I don’t know why you brought her into the campaign. I do know I’d prefer it if she didn’t end the encounters as she has been particularly after we’ve all gone and 160 points of damage our own dangerous selves. For my part, I’d like to just take the actions posted and let them stand. Perhaps Lia can take some other, damage dealing or party assisting action.
Kale's a lover, not a fighter. He doesn't mind Lia showing her worth, and in fact would like to recruit her to his gang after this. He is very lazy, after all. Just let us know if we recover our spell slots though. I feel like I am counting spells that haven't been used because I am terrible at paying attention to my slots, haha. (If Lia ended both encounters early, that means no spells lots were used by Kale I think... whoops)
In all honesty... it's weird that we haven't really killed anything, but not bad weird. Cool weird. Like we're outsmarting the encounters. I don't mind that at all, as long as experience is milestone progression and not slayer progression, LOL.
Whitegaze is happy to hit what is there, and ignore what isn't. I don't mind her actions, but it would be nice if you posted her actions after you roll initiative for her, so we know what to do.
ooc: I guess I’m in the minority then. That being the case, please disregard Merric's prior actions in this encounter and replace with:
Merric manages not to stab the obviously sleeping worm, aware that attacking a magically slept creature will waken it. Sheathing his weapons, he turns away, walking further into the library. "That were easy, I'm thinkin'," to his comrades. "Shall we be continuin', then?" he asks as he moves further into the library.
I don't mind putting in Lia's actions earlier if needs be. One thing to note here is that, if it were just another of the characters, she would post her actions, at some point during the process, and the round would be run-through by the DM as i just did. You wouldn't have any better idea then if her action did end the encounter or not, if she were just another player and not my NPC. Just wanted to point that out, but will try to post an action for her when I know she is high on the initiative list as we move forward.

Then may be when control spells are used you could announce right away if they worked, so other's could adjust their moves accordingly? (Not only for Lia, for everyone)
"Well, that looks dangerous," Kale observes. "Someone want to take a stab at figuring out what they could mean, or should I just have my goat walk across them and see what happens to it?"
(Kale will provide the help action to anyone making an arcana check if they do)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Merric looks at the glyphs...and shrugs. “I’m not knowin. Praps one of the wizardy types.” He turns away, keeping an eye on the surrounding area and clearly uninterested in the glyphs.
listen to the expert, and take the extra attack XD

Lia casts a psell, erh eyes turning into pits of darkness. She casts eyebite
Purple worm save: 3
(Sorry, you might have to revise actions...)

Personally do not mind her presence and even kill-steal. As long as we are progressing anywhere - I am fine.

Leavinthe the worm asleep, you continue into the library. After a few turns you come across...
Glyphs shimmer under the surface of the floor, faintly oscillating in strange patterns. Do they have a meaning?
