Gerrard:
OOC: First acrobatics check was a 24...
Second Acrobatics Check: 25
Gerrard takes the captain’s sword in his off hand, tumbling gracefully to the main deck and rushing over to the cargo hold, dropping the sword tip first below and saying, “The Captain is dead. Surrender now!”
Persuasion: 13
Unfortunately, his follow-up drop into the cargo hold is less than graceful. He lands in a heap and uses the rest of his action to get up and recover his bearings a bit (Second Wind as a bonus action, no main action due to failed acrobatics check).
He squints after the boat, trying to make out who is aboard (Perception17). Figuring Fossie has either been killed or abandoned them, he will fire an Eldritch blast14 for 10 at the boat, hoping to add another hole to the leaky old tub. Then he'll make his way forward toward the forecastle to check on the unconscious crewman.

Qivys wrenches free of the hook once again, but his hammer fails to connect with the wily pirate.
Gerrard lands with a crash in the hold, but gives a pretty convincing speech. The two crewmen pause with uncertainty at the sight of their captain's sword, but Frithoff just growls.
Dwal takes advantage of the moment to successfully smash his attacker. This time, the crewman doesn't get up. Another one down.
The single remaining crewman pauses, his arms at his side. He looks terrified.
Frithoff, on the other hand, is not ready to surrender. He swings his hook once again at Qivys: Hook attack: 9 Piercing damage: 10
The hook clatters harmlessly off his armor.
Peri, meanwhile, squints at the dim, departing vessel, but he can't distinguish any details about the single figure in it. He fires a beam of crackling purple energy at the boat, but it fizzles harmlessly into the water. He hops down onto the main deck, and ends his turn near the mast, where he gets a glimpse of his comrades down in the hold.

Gerrard:
Sparing a glance for the frightened crewman, Gerrard says, "Good choice," and lays into the remaining combatant. Reversing his grip on the Main Gauche, Gerrard tries to stab Frithoff just above the hook's attachment point with a quick dual weapon sideways thrust, effectively disarming the hook by the simple expedient of pinning the pirate's hooked limb to the nearby crate. "Unfortunately some of you are slow learners," he quips at Frithoff.
Rapier Attack: Attack: 22 Damage: 6
Main Gauche Attack: Attack: 25 Damage: 11
Superiority Die; if either attack hits, do this much extra damage and disarm if she fails a DC 13 Strength Check: 6
(Ignore if both attacks miss)
(For some reason I mistyped the bonus on the rapier attack -- it should hit AC 12)

Qivys
Always happy to harrass evil-doers, Qiv taunts Frithoff. "Do you have other attachments at home? Perhaps a spoon or a corkscrew. Or are you stuck with that butter knife?" He scoffs at his most recent assault. To add to the insult he throws his weight behind another hammer swing.
Qivys slams Frithoff with his hammer. "I'm going to tear you out of that crabshell, piece by bloody piece!" Frithoff retorts with a snarl.
But he doesn't. Gerrard's blade cleanly opens Foul Frithoff's radial artery. He collapses to the floor in a spray of blood, dead.
The surviving crewman's scimitar clatters to the deck as he surrenders. "Uh. Ye' need help cleanin' that up?" he mumbles, pointing vaguely to the bloody mess nearby.
Meanwhile, up on forecastle, Peri checks on the other crewman - he's still unconscious on the deck.
Peri quickly ties the man's hands behind his back with some twine. He pats the man down for any weapons, then lightly slaps him back to the world of the living. "Hey sunshine, time t' wake up. Fight's all over! What's your name, then? We may need some help steerin' this ship into port." He will help the crewman down the ladder to the main deck and ask him where the spare sails are kept. "Prob'ly get by on just a storm sail -- not tryin' to get anywhere quick." He'll also holler down into the hold, "We're gonna have to either sail this thing in, or tow it back. The boat's gone. I think one of the men who went overboard took it from Fossie."
Peri's pirate - a toothless, weatherbeaten, middle-aged man with a thin, scruffy beard - begins to come to. He's in serious pain. "My leg! My leg!" he cries. He seems confused and bewildered. Peri kicks his scimitar away, but the man appears unable to stand, let alone climb down a ladder. Peri finally gets the "sail" concept through to him, but the man, in a fog, only points upward, where the sail burned away.
”No,” replies Gerrard to the frightened crewman, “Go up on deck and see what your new captain needs.” Calling up to Peri, Gerrard says, “We’ve got a crewman coming up to help, Captain Fenwader.”
Gerrard looks to the dwarves, saying, “How are you two doing? Should we see what we have down here or do you need some healing first?”

(Reminder: There are bodies in the hold, the main deck, and the upper deck. A large part of the railing on the poop deck is gone. The sail has almost entirely burned away, but all flames are out now. The hatch to the hold is open. There are unexplored cabins on the main deck, and others aft of the hold, as well as a bilge accessible through another hatch in the hold.)
Gerrard's crewman, a jumpy teenage boy, warily steps around Dwal, passes through the crew quarters, and heads upstairs to nervously meet his new captain.
Dwal seems to have a scowl on his face. It's normal.
"Get yer arse up top deck." he tells the surviving pirate.
Dwal makes his way up top following the last surviving pirate that was down in his area. Dwal will "guide" any remaining pirates to the center of the deck then find a place to take a seat and let the other make their plans and the like.

Gerrard puts his hands on his hips and scans the room - bolts of cloth, a lot of kegs, and at least one crate, all lashed securely with rope. Four dead pirates. Two live dwarves, one currently exiting. A lantern hung from the ceiling provides illumination. Two hatches - one open above, one closed below. Three doors - one open, two closed. Inventory complete!
The teenage boy, followed by Dwal, makes his way upstairs to the main deck. "Cap'n?" he calls uncertainly up to Peri on the forecastle. He clears his throat. "Can I help ye' with somethin'?" His voice cracks.
Battle over, he takes a breath. The pain in his shoulder immense. He squeezes out of the cramped position he found himself in. "Thanks be to you Gerrard. I don't think I could've taken much more of his hook. I'll just take a minute, if that a'right, then we can check what's beyond that door" he points to the unexplored area below deck.
With a slight stumble Qivys makes his way to a keg and jumps on top of it to take a seat. Blood now oozing out of his shoulder he winces as he lifts his hands. A soft white-blue glow begins to form around his palms. He holds a hand to his shoulder and whispers a prayer in Dwarven.
Lay on Hands 10.
Immediately he feels better. The blood stops flowing out between the plates of his armour. "That's better. You ready kid?"He slides off the keg and walks to the closest of the two aft doors. He waits for Gerrard to answer.
In the center of the cabin sits a plain wood table on which stand a pewter flagon and a pewter mug. Beside the table is a wooden chair, and hanging over the table is an unlit hooded lantern.
Also hanging from the ceiling, at the aft end of the cabin, is a large cage that holds a parrot, apparently asleep. Next to the hull hangs an unoccupied hammock. Beneath it is a brass-bound wooden sea chest.
