After he goes Nyx looks back at the rest of the group.
"That went well" she smirks.
"So we going to ask the Harpers for help agaist this corrupt official or maybe this Waterbaron fellow? Maybe he could deputise us as officers of the Yartar law..?"
Nyx starts humming the tune to "I shot the sheriff".... "but I didn't shoot the waterbaron.... ohh no!"
Baeshra shrugs, "We can either try and have him removed, and Zymorven released and claim the sword in exchange. Or we can persuade the corrupt official to hand over the blade. I am curious who he was supposed to have murdered as well as what happened to his wife he ran away with."
"It would probably do for me to introduce myself to the Waterbaron, as I have yet to perform any meaningful service on behalf of the Lord's Alliance. If we are to go after an official of the city, even a corrupt one, it would be best to have law on our side, I think."

Still discussing with the party, or are you going to the Waterbaron?
The party sets out after breakfast, crossing the large stone bridge that crosses the Dessarin River and brings them to the heart of the city.
Some of the older buildings down here in the city center have been recently torn down and new sky scrapers, some up to 4 stories tall! have replaced them. It's a bustling, growing, city.
You make it to the city center and go into the Waterbaron's building. A tall man stands behind a desk near the entry, and looks up at you through thick glasses. "Good morning, what can I do for you today?"
He looks down at you through his glasses, and kind of smirks, then says: "I'm sure it is quite urgent. Most of the business seems to be. Unfortunately she is booked today. I suggest you come back tomorrow."
Umbriel thanks the functionary, and leads the group outside. In a low voice, he says "Since we have the day, it may be wise to surveil this corrupt official, try to get a better idea of what we are dealing with. And Nyx might have a date, so there's that. What do you suggest? Droop, is there anything you need?"
" Why do humans make everything so complicated? If ye need gab with a dwarven king or queen ye just headbutt progressive underlings until you get to the bigjob."
" Well, if we've got the day and anyones offering I could do with a foot rub."
In the afternoon, the party makes their way to the street where Splendor said they could find the Watch Captain and his entourage making their way home. There's a tavern, a fine dining restaurant, and a shoe store, and a couple of residential buildings.
It's about 10 minutes before 4pm, when he is supposed to be coming down the street. Is there anything you want to prepare? Do you want to stand there looking nonchalant, or try to hide?
Being in a rather boisterous mood after dealings with Spendor Nyx pays for the rooms.
When he returns with the information in the morning, Nyx flushes and giggles at the attention when he kisses her hand.
"So where is this patrol?"
"Well I know why you have your name, that was splendid work" she says with a wink.
"Don't you worry hon, I'll look you up."

Splendor provides Nyx all the details about the patrol, so the party can intercept if they want.
Haha, nice one!
Still discussing with the party, or are you going to the Waterbaron?
Lyngheid narrowed her eyes at Splendor......she didn't trust him as far as she could throw him.....which was probably fairly far really.....
" So....lets go see this Waterbron then."
Ireniana stretches her arms and nods. "Let's go."
I have an intelligence of six, I know what I'm doing.
To the Waterbaron!
OK!

"We are hear to speak with the Waterbaron, on business that I believe will benefit him greatly" Nyx pipes in.
"Most urgent business that is. Could you please let him know we need to speak with him?"

Is there anything anyone wants to do in Yartar for the day? Where do you want to spend the night?

Baeshra would turn into an alley cat and move away from the rest of the group, trying to keep an eye out for this captain.
