Is the Gallus trait "Militia Training" pointless? Every class gives simple weapons prof, does it not? Why does a race granting it make sense? Am I missing something?
ETA something I noticed as I made a character:
My Mistral Raptor has this for languages, but my newly made Gallus doesn't -
Languages
Auran ((Can understand, but cannot speak it naturally.)), Birdfolk, Mapach, Vulpin
It shouldn't be a double parenthetical.
ETA again:
It appears that Spiny Shield's dice roller isn't increasing each level.

Druids, Sorcerers and Wizards don't get full simple weapon proficiency, they only get some of the simple weapon types (druids get the most, Wizards the least). But yeah it's otherwise a pretty minor feature, and of no benefit to a martial or half-martial class.

Has there been any clarification on the items included in this book? The market page says it comes with over 20 new magic items but only 7 are listed within the TOC. Is this an error?

I only see seven in the book, though one of them, the Feathered Crown, has five different variants, but that would only bring the total to 11 (1 from the 7 becomes 5 for 6 + 5 total) or 12 (base crown + the 5 variants).
Maybe there are some more in the adventure (though with several being artefacts I'd assume these are the quest items)? I don't want to look too closely at the adventure to avoid spoilers, as I'm not going to be the one running it.
Update: Actually the Blade of the Wood is counting as multiple as well as there's a greatsword, longsword, scimitar, and shortsword variant, while the Red-Feather Bow is any bow so that's longbow and shortbow. So that gives us an extra 6, so assuming they're counting the base objects as well that gives us 18 total. I can only assume they're getting another two or three from weapon types I'm not counting – are they including crossbows maybe? That adds another three.
It's a pretty dishonest way to account for it though; while I can see counting the Feathered Helm separately the Blade of the Wood and Red-Feather Bow are two items, they just might happen to be one of several types of weapon if you get one.

Im having issues finding out how to use the Humblewood setting on the d&d beyond campaign so i can run it digitally. is there something special i have to do?
What do you mean by use the setting on dndbeyond campaign?
You would need to buy the book, and if you want to use the built in maps function, you'd need a master tier sub, and run MAPS. To have characters made w/ the humblewood material you would need to enable humblewood content on the first page in the character creator.
ive bought the book and have a master tier sub. i feel dumb because im new to it but what do you mean by run maps?
Master tier subscribers have early access to the upcoming Maps tool for D&D Beyond (you can get to it from Tools -> Maps at the top of the page); you need to setup a campaign first, then you can add maps to it, including premade official maps from supported sources (not every book has been adapted yet, but Humblewood should be).
Tool's pretty usable for being in alpha though, I've used it in a few of my own sessions already, it just has a few features missing, but nothing that really stops you from running most encounters.

Unable to see any of the subclass options for Humblewood content in the character builder. Content is synced and enabled and I can access the species and background options just fine.
I recently buy Humblewood only for its content to be unable to be used with the new Player’s Handbook 2024. We have a scofflaw at our table but no way to play it with the new rules

Make a Homebrew copy of it then copy everything over to a Homebrew subclass for the new class, should work.
In the meantime, this was already a known issue since day 1 of the early launch with all partnered content, but they're working with the partners to bring it over.

You'd need to homebrew it. But if you look in the right places you'll be able to find some workarounds to doing the work yourself.
Ah, I had a feeling. Appreciate the tip, thanks!
Where is the Mend Plants cantrip?
There's no such spell in this book. There's shape plants

I was lied to by the Homebrewers on this one...
Why can't I buy the subclasses separately?

The Sharp Mind feature for the Kindled Corvum is missing from the character builder.
