ENABLING CONTENT FOR YOUR CHARACTER
To use content from The Crooked Moon in the character builder, you will need to set the character preferences to include the Avantris Entertainment source category (see the .gif below).
NEW SUBCLASSES
The book features 15 new subclasses:
Barbarian: Path of the Experiment

Druid: Circle of the Old Ways - Wood Wose's "Bark Bulwark" is not able to add both Dexterity and Wisdom modifiers to your Armor Class.
NEW SPECIES

Deepborn
Gnarlborn
Graveborn
Harvestborn
Plagueborn
Relicborn

These species are all supported in the character builder.
NEW FEATS
This book features 14 new feats. These are supported in the character builder, with the following exceptions:
Altered - The "Natural Armor" feature is not able to add both Dexterity or Constitution modifiers to you Armor Class.
DARK BARGAINS SYSTEM
This book features a unique system of Boons and Banes. With a GM's discretion, these Dark Bargains can be given to reflect various aspects of the player characters. These have been implemented as Optional Class Features. Only one Dark Bargain can be selected at a time, but it can be changed at any time by selecting the feature in the character sheet.
How to enable the Dark Bargains in the character builder:
In the character builder, on the Home page, check "Optional Class Features" under the "Optional Features" section to enable them.
On the 1. Class page, select a class, then select "Optional Feature Manager". Then under Additional Features select "The Crooked Moon: Dark Bargain" to enable it.
Select the "Class Features" again on the 1. Class page. The class feature "Dark Bargain" will appear in the list. Then, select the specific Dark Bargain.
These are all supported in the character builder.
NEW SPELLS
The book features 40 new spells. The spells are mostly supported with the following exceptions:
Cursed Cacophony - Range "Special" is not supported, and is set to Unlimited.

Hook of the Tall Man - Does not provide the Topple weapon mastery property. Necter of the Green Man - Disadvantage on attack rolls is not supported.
NEW MONSTERS
The book features 13 Familiars and 1 Monster.
These are all supported.
NEW MAP
The book features 1 new map for the Maps tool.
Notes: Subclass support added for 2014 classes for Subclasses and Dark Bargains.
Both books show as part of my library on the site, but not on the app, which directs me to the marketplace. Pre-ordered the bundle in case that's relevant.
Additionally, while I can read the book, none of the optionss are available in the character builder, even with Avantris chosen as a usable source, nor can I go to their direct entries (clicking on a spell while reading the book through the Sources tab brought me to the marketplace).
Yeah, I don't see it in the app yet either. They might still be finishing up the release process. Actually, it just showed up in the app for me! Try closing and restarting your app to have it check for the latest releases.
For the character options, have you tried syncing your entitlements as described above? (Watch for a banner to pop up and say the sync was successful; don't worry if the page itself still says they're out of sync.)
I enabled Optional Class Features but Dark Bargains don't seem to show up.
Also, while building a character using the 2024 rules when choosing one of the new species I am asked to add modifiers provided by said species using the Tasha's Cauldron of Everything rules, which shouldn't be doable with 2024 rules. This seems to cause a bug that prevents me from finishing my character creation and going into my character sheet.

So I bought the bundle in advance, since i was waiting for this book for a long time now and when i saw it on dndbeyond and it said: "The Crooked Moon is written for the new fifth edition core rules, and fully compatible with your 2014 content. Pre-order The Crooked Moon Full Bundle ahead of release on June 17 to unlock exclusive 4 frames and 10 backdrops for your character sheet!"
The part that says "fully compatible with your 2014 content" i thought that it meant that we would be able to use it to make PCs on 2014 class versions, but its just showing on 2024 classes, and my question really is, which it could be a complete misunderstanding on my part since english is not my first language, but when ya said "fully compatible with your 2014 content" shouldn't it mean that it should work with the original stuff? Cuz me and my players only use that version and I bought it here instead of physical cuz i thought we where going to have the 2014 version here to make it easier. So why was it phrased like that?
I mean no animosity but is there going to be a way to use the sub-classes on the 2014 classes?
Public Mod Note
(spamandtuna):
2014 subclass support added
The subclasses were written for the 2024 classes, which means in several cases they rely on mechanics that only exist in the 2024 core rules (like weapon mastery). As such, the subclasses specifically will work only on the 2024 classes. The rest should work regardless of your class.
If you do want to adapt one for use on a 2014 class, though, you could make a homebrew copy of the 2024 subclass to see exactly how it was set up, then replicate it in a blank 2014 subclass.
Ok but then the "fully compatible with your 2014 content" is not correct then? Cuz, at least for me, when someone is telling me that its fully compatible it means that everything that ya need to play a PC that uses 2014 classes should also work right? Happy that i can still use the other stuff but it would really also help if we could also have for the 2014 classes the new sub-classes and the dark-bargain tab to make PC creation more easy and streamed lined.

This^ I bought this under the impression that I can run the 2014 version of the crooked moon and my players could make their characters via D&D Beyond. If the 2014 subclasses aren't there then we can't. How is that not misleading?

I read that the subclasses are supposed to work with both 2024 and 2014 classes, but I only see them appearing for 2024 classes when making a character. Is there a massive bug right now or were we all lied to and scammed?

I pre ordered the bundle, and for some reason it's showing me I need to buy them again on the app but not on the website. What do I need to do to fix this? I'm really excited about the options.

"Not getting cut into bloody littles slices, That's the key to a sound plan."
First: Some the races have special Creature Type. Specifically Fiend, Undead, Aberration and Construct. But when you select them in character creator, and on your character sheet. It simply says "Humanoid"
Second: Why is Altered's Natural AC not working? I can literally go make a Feat right now, and set it up to work without issue, so there is no reason why the Feat can't do it officially?

I can't use my subclasses with my 2014 classes and it's supposed to work for all versions why aren't the subclasses working for those
is anyone else having an issue where the "Altered" background isnt changing their AC?
