Maybe it’s just me but TCoE also stated you could make a race with a feat from the start (apart from Variant Human). Also missing this from the character builder?
I believe there isn't going to be DDB integration for this as the homebrew creator already allows for you to make a race from scratch; the only difference now is that Tasha's provides an official guideline for how to make a Custom Lineage.
That seems a little weird considering they already have the functionality for it for variant human. Hopefully they can just add it within the race.
The thing about it is that the Custom Lineage isn't just a Variant Human, so it wouldn't be under the VHuman origin editor. It's whatever you want it to be (appearance of choice) with a free feat and a free skill or darkvision, so it's a homebrew race... which the homebrew creator is available for. Implementation, I assume, would be far too chaotic to integrate because there's so many variables. It's essentially a custom race.
For example, if the Ability Score Increase trait of your race or subrace increases your Constitution by 2 and your Wisdom by 1, you could instead increase your Intelligence by 2 and your Charisma by 1.
The Character Builder so far only allows customizing attributes gained by your base race, not those that derive from subrace.
For example, I have a Hill Dwarf (+2 Constitution, +1 Wisdom) Warlock; I want to shift the +1 Wisdom over to a +1 Charisma. The Builder does not (yet) allow me to do this.
Another example, I have a Protector Aasimar (+2 Charisma, +1 Wisdom) Warlock; I want to shift the +1 Wisdom over to a +1 Constitution. This, too, is not (yet) possible within the builder.
In both cases, yes, I have turned on Origin Customization as an option on the "home" page for each character.

The poster's point isn't that it's a variant human, but that the required functionality is already implemented in the variant human, because while it isn't a variant human, the mechanical function is almost identical to the variant human. The only difference is getting to choose between a skill and darkvision. All they would have to do is add functionality to make that selection and then add a "name" field. Even if it were complicated, it's something they're charging money for, so they should figure it out.
If their official, permanent stance is "use the homebrew tools to do this," that's in very poor taste, considering that no one has to buy the book to do that. It's not unreasonable to expect their tools to support something when people are paying money for that support.
It seems like the additional fighting style options offered to the paladin are not actually included in the Fighting Style drop-down menu. I see the new section on the character builder that lists out the Additional Fighting Styles, but the drop-down menu still only shows the original four options available to the class. I have not yet tested with other classes that got additional fighting styles to see if this was narrowly focused to just the paladin.
Edit: The weird thing is that one of my players is not having this issue at all. They see the fighting styles show up in the drop-down menu just fine. Meanwhile, I'm trying to create a bunch of other new characters just to see if it's a weird caching issue and still running into the same problem.
I was waiting until the mid day update went through before i said something.
For psi warrior:
"In addition, as a bonus action, you can regain one expended Psionic Energy die, but you can’t do so again until you finish a short or long rest."
I do not see a tracking method for this similar to the replenishment in the archived version; that said being able to update the die count themselves is awesome (thanks!) but old farts like me may forget if I used this between sessions =).
Why is the Martial Adept Feat not being updated with the new maneuvers? I see from the cover page that its listed as not having the new maneuvers. Is this temporary? I would hope, as its clearly intended design to have that feat include the new options.
No, it is not. The old feat will only get updated to include new maneuvers if there is an official errata for it.
That is.... unfortunate. Why on earth would they add battle master maneuvers to the battle master subclass, and then restrict the feat that allows u access to those maneuvers to only the old set? That's honestly ridiculous, dont you think?
I get more an more disappointed with this product's implementation as this "process" continues. I use this service for convenience, so I can get everything i need all in one place and compile it onto a clean character sheet for my games. More and more I'm having to hack the system to gain access to features, mostly new and innovative features that the community has been begging for, that I have purchased and pay a premium to have consistent access to.
Maybe this is the wrong place to vent my frustration, and I dont mean to throw flak at you my friend. This just is just starting to be more and more of a game of "which elements will I actually get from the products I've purchased" rather than a way to digitize and streamline my dnd experience.

I agree. I expected the custom origin to be its own race and hope they change their mind on this. There really shouldn't be any need for this to be something for the homebrew creator, for one because it is already so similar to variant human essentially, and 2 their homebrew creator is not terribly intuitive.
I can't seem to access any optional class features for any class, even though I preordered the book and have access to the racial origin manager options as well as all the new subclasses (As in, no slider option even available as it was with race options). The option is checked as active in Character Preferences.
Hi, unsure if this has been brought up, but selecting the optional class feature of Primal Awareness for Ranger is -NOT- outright replacing primeval awareness as the feature states (i still have both on my character builder/sheet when chosen).
Apologies if this has been brought up already! Thank you for the hard work you guys are doing!
I also can't access my optional class features on any character- I purchased the full book earlier today, but under the optional class feature I'm getting the 'you do not have any optional class features unlocked for this class' message.

Should offer refunds if you dont put everything thats in the book and just say homebrew it. It would be very easy to implement Custom lineage since it takes no time to homebrew. If I am paying for something I dont like it to be half assed because of arbitrary reasons.

I don't know where the DDB post mentioned in this OP is that cites that this won't be implemented, but here's a thread I found discussing the non-implementation of the Custom Lineage: https://www.dndbeyond.com/forums/d-d-beyond-general/d-d-beyond-feedback/88254-tashas-custom-lineage

Bug: Customizing your Origin // Ability Scores
The Character Builder so far only allows customizing attributes gained by your base race, not those that derive from subrace.

In both cases, yes, I have turned on Origin Customization as an option on the "home" page for each character.
On my cleric, several of the new spells do not show as spells I can choose, such as : Aura of Vitality/Life/Purity.
The bards new variant ability magical inspiration is not showing up on character sheet, but is when editing characters

Well, I assume you own the book on Beyond, right?
If you do, once you turn that on, in the tab for Class abilities, there are links directly under the class name-and-icon:
The Quickened Healing Feature isn't appearing on the monk character sheet properly.

Small thing, but there's a typo in the optional/additional ranger spells. Says "2ndt-level" instead of "2nd level"

I have the same problem

Same here except I preordered a week or so ago.
I selected the dwarf with the origin ability score but for some reason I can only change one of them.
So I get +2 strength and +2 INT. I can't change the strenght one.
