So for my setting i decided the bosses leading to the final boss are the seven deadly sins. They supposedly powerful ancient elves, and the first elves to taste the wonders of the material realm to a sinful level and perhaps their enjoyment of the new plane became a manifestation of their power, though this information are only speculations made by sages. These elves were sealed in the world of dreams where they cannot escape their eternal prison because of their extreme danger and influence upon other mortals and driving them to madness related to their sins, the only way for them to escape is basically to go to sleep and since they are elves, they cannot.
What i want is to build them through classes that would represent each one of them then add some legendary actions etc. Any ideas? if you have suggestions on how to improve them be it thematically, mechanically or maybe a suggestion story wise. Thank you very much.

I’d say Wrath would be a Barbarian, Greed would be a Rogue, Envy would be either a Blood Hunter or a Warlock, and Lust might be a Bard. I’m not sure about the others.
Envy, vanity, lust, greed, and gluttony are linked concepts - all based on wantonness. The ideo of sloth is non-combatant.
I would think in terms of the effects that they cause in others - the primary purpose of such beings. This lends them to have mind-influencing stats such as charisma or magicks that control people.

Human. Male. Possibly. Don't be a divider. My characters' backgrounds are written like instruction manuals rather than stories. My opinion and preferences don't mean you're wrong. I am 99.7603% convinced that the digital dice are messing with me. I roll high when nobody's looking and low when anyone else can see.🎲 “It's a bit early to be thinking about an epitaph. No?” will be my epitaph.

I like the idea of Envy being a Warlock, taking a shortcut to the power other spellcasters have by effort or fortunate chance. Gluttony could be a Wizard, never satisfied with the power and knowledge they have, eventually leading to lichdom. Pride... maybe a Paladin?
I have this weird notion of Sloth being a Druid who has partially petrified as they rely increasingly on their connection to nature (summoning animals, etc.) to provide for them rather than acting themselves any longer.

Envy as a warlock to ruin others or as a jealous bard who wants the attention all to themselves. Hard to pick between them.
Also sloth being a druid makes sense, since are easier to control than people which makes it a perfect fit !
These are the suggestions so far,
Wrath - Barbarian
Greed - Rogue or Wizard
Envy - Warlock or Bard or blood hunter
Lust - ??
Sloth - Druid
Pride - Paladin (?)
Interesting so far, let's see if there are other people would give different perspectives.
Edit: @EricHVela, I most likely have their effects across an area which would help the players identifying where the sins are imprisoned.

Wizard should be lust. They lust for greater power and more knowledge. Envy should definitely be warlock.

bard can be both lust and sloth. sloth because bards have the best debuff spells in the game, and sloth is not wanting to do stuff. it would be much easier to not do stuff if your enemies are weaker. lust because bard.

Yea, i guess I'll just mix these 2 into one person. thanks

I made a campaign where in the town the seven important NPCs were all actually representations of the sins. When the apocalypse came they all revealed their true demonic forms.
The fat, feast throwing mayor was actually a (modified to have fiendish traits) bulette-Gluttony
The rich magic item salesman was Greed, and a Glabzeru in disguise.
His lazy son (not actually his son) was a Hezrou, Sloth.
The owner of an “exotic” tavern was an Inccubus, Lust.
The leader of the town gaurd was a Violet, battle hardened man (wrath) and turned out to be a Barlgura.
A homeless thief turned out to be a Quasit, and was envy.
And last but not least was Pride, a horned devil disguised as a sage who possesses all of the knowledge in the town and refuses to accept the opinions of others.

That sounds like an incredible campaign! I would steal this but I would never be able to live with myself

Wrath - I would sugggest Berserker Barabarian if the subclass wasn't total sh*t, so Battlerager Barbarian instead. (Zealot if you don't wanna limit yourself to a dwarf) Lust - While Bard would be many's first thought, the subclass is a little less easy, but in the end I'm going to say Glamour Bard. Greed - Greed is easy. Draconic Sorcerer. Dragons are the perfection of greed. Envy - Envy is a little harder, but probably a Rogue of some kind. Not one in it for the greed, but one that is a master of stealing the glory of others, like the Phantom Rogue. Gluttony - Who wants more and more and more knowledge, power, everything? The Wizard! And the Necromancy Wizard even wants the life force of others. Sloth - Warlocks are the epitome of getting a lot of power for little work. And the Undying Warlock can be so lazy they don't even need to eat or breathe. Pride - This screams Glory Paladin. One of the Proudest classes with a subclass centered around you own Glory.
I'm going purely based off the OSQ channel's depiction of classes except for Gluttony, that one comes from experience.
Greed=Rouge
Envy=Wizard (HP reasons)
Wrath=Barbarian
Gluttony=Monk (Try sustaining a player who imitates Kung Fu Panda in every way)
Sloth=Warlock
Lust=Bard
Pride=Sorcerer
Throwing it Back=Paladin
Being level 10=Cleric

Hello There. I am a worldbuilder and proud DM that is creating a huge world called Eldredom. I'm pouring many hours into it and I may make some things later...
Earlier this year I began writing a campaign (slightly based on The Inferno) all about diving through the layers hell to reach the heavens. I created 7 guardians of different ‘dungeons’ based on the sins:
Pride: Sorcerer
Sloth: Artificer
Wrath: Barbarian
Envy: Paladin
Lust: Warlock
Greed: Wizard
Gluttony: Bard
This is most definitely too late, but I still hope this helped someone :)

Greed: rogue - it’s obvious
Envy: Warlock - envious of other spellcasters, takes easy way to magic despite consequences
Lust: Bard - “I roll to seduce”
Wrath: Barbarian - literally a class feature
Pride: Paladin - bastards are all full of themselves
Gluttony: Wizard - more magic more spells more more more
Sloth: Sorcerer - they don’t have to sacrifice anything for their power
"Ignorance is bliss, and you look absolutely miserable."
or were you talking about the 7 deadly sins like:
melodias

dianne
etc...

Greed is obviously long death monk tho. the only ability that practically give you immortality. this is if we are talking about nanatsu no taisai

I am also here.
Am snek.
If you’re trying to easter egg it from the show I’d do:
Wrath: Tiefling Barbarian
Envy: Goliath Rune Knight
Greed: Reborn Shadowmonk
Sloth: Fairy Druid
Lust: Warforged Arcane Archer
Greed: Human Wizard
Pride: Human Paladin (Oath Pending) (No real way outside of Homebrew to mimic Sunshine)

The Seven, with their actual names:
Beelzebub (gluttony): Wizard, Necromancy

Mammon (greed): either Rogue or Oath of Conquest
Asmodeus (lust): Bard, Glamour of course
Belphegor (sloth): Shepherd Druid
Leviathan (envy): Hexblade Warlock
Kasrik Argentum Stellaris Fiddlesticks the Wizard, Lord of Stars, Master Trickster, and Creator of both the Mosh of Stardust Hornets and Mimiczilla.
