Just checking to see if there are any plans to have the encounter builder and/or combat tracker in the mobile app. I use the app on my ipad and iphone quite often and this would make it much more useful to me as a DM.
I cannot wait for this to be released on the app. Would be awesome
I agree. Pretty much the only thing I come to the website for anymore is the encounter builder. I can see that this may not be a priority, but it would be a very welcome addition once it does roll out.
Any updates? Just recently started a campaign with players who are new to the game. Been using the website encounter tool and it’s AMAZING. Hoping this goes on the mobile app soon!
Things I would love to see in the Mobile Combat Tracker (as well as the web-based):
Allow players to see the initiative order. Kobold Fight Club has had this for years, so I am hoping DDB could include it since it makes combats go so much more smooth when players know the order.
Allow DM to hide creatures/players not present from initiative order in player view. I think this was also done in KFC, so it helps players by showing them only what they see, not the DM has up his/her sleeve.
Allow DM to temporarily hide/change monster names. Nothing ruins the surprise more than the human Yuri Denisovich showing up as a "werewolf rolls a 19 to hit" in the game log and players suddenly deciding to pull out their silver weapons on the human.
Allow DM to adjust player hit points in the same way that they can adjust monster hit points (heals and damage). Some players are notorious for forgetting to mark down how much damage they just took.
Allow the conditions on character sheet to show on in the combat tracker. Players forget who is poisoned, paralyzed, prone, charmed, blinded, etc. So it would be nice if they could see it on their combat tracker on their tablet (helpful for DM to see this too so as to keep track). Some apps even had timers that automatically removed the conditions after X rounds.
Allow DM to assign conditions to the character from the combat tracker. This is an add-on to point 4 above.
Allow the option of rerolling initiative every round. This is one of those old edition rules that made combat less predictable. We use it on boss fights so they don't get predictable and it benefits the high initiative individuals who might have had a lousy roll at the start of combat. You already have the rolling in...but you lose the ability once combat starts, which is a shame.
I agree that this would be extremely useful! I'm a new DM and I don't like having my laptop out during games. I find my tablet is far less distracting to my younger players, but the website is much slower on my iPad than the app and not well suited to touch inputs. Please prioritize this soon!
Okay it’s been 2.5 years since the original question… do we have an ETA yet? Has it been started to be worked on?
it’s a fundamental tool that draws a lot of the engagement with dnd beyond, most people accessing the internet do so via mobile device and app based tech - so asking “have you started on this?” After 2.5 years, does seem like a legitimate question and not unfairly rushing the dev team.

Thanks!

Yes, it's on the roadmap
Is this still in the process of being made?
We haven't started it yet and there's no ETA for this at this point. Thank you for your patience.

What would be cool is if this feature could also handle Speed Factor
And be on the mobile app as well of course 🥹

Hi, is this still in the works?
Would love to see this become reality! Although the topic has been ignored for a while, a little worried we won't see it... :(
Looking for up an update on this topic. Being able to run encounters from the mobile app would be a great benefit to the DMs
Kinda wish this would be added because it would make the app better for all and honestly as a DM it would be helpful
There's still no ETA for it at this stage but I will keep you posted if it changes
If you guys are hiring devs who can create a tab on a mobile app and link it to an API in less than 2 years, hit me up.
