Hello! I am a newish DM and I am going to be starting a Tower if God themed campaign next week! I am really excited as I made homebrew races and a new class system for it so that the players can essentially multi class without having to give up any level ups.
While to make it realistic I made the tower 100 floors rather than 200 that most likely exist in the comic, I am having trouble coming up with various tests they can take it each of the different floors. I know that the every floot that ends in 5 will be a somewhat semi boss and which you face other npc groups in a battle Royal and every multiple if 10 will be a huge boss monster, but I’m having trouble I’m thinking of different challenges and test they can take aside from that. Though I am taking some inspiration from survival game comics, shows, and what they have In the comic Im basing this off of for the 20ish floors I’ve planned for so far, I’d love some ideas from fellow on some possible tests for different floors from GMs if you are willing to help out!

This should be in Dungeon Masters Only. Dungeon Master's Guild is a website where you can purchase and download PDF's of people's published material. I can't explain it that well, since I don't use DMG very often though. Going back to your question, this seems like a really time-consuming project. DotMM is like what I think you're describing, but it's underground instead of a tower.
I would also recommend you not reinvent the wheel. Although I highly recommend running a published module (or even a homebrewed one by an experienced author that can be found online on DMsguild or even reddit)
I HIGHLY recommend creating your own class system. Races too, although unless you're making it have crazy traits its less of an issue. You say you're a new-ish DM, have you been a player yet? If so, for how long, if so, how familiar are you with the rules? (as many players barely know what's on their character sheets let alone the actual rules of the game)
I know it's exciting but far too many people (in my opinion) decide to don the DM mantle and decide to be a god from scratch without knowing (or caring) about the nuances of already existing rules/gameplay not realizing that although your super-saiyin, power ranging, one piece ninja stand class and the world it would play in is cool but completely disregarded the 100s of hours that went into designing (by professionals) and playtesting to tune it properly
(though there is what to critique, I suggest you learn the ABCs before you start making ciphers in your own intricate, complex language you're making up)
