I'm starting a new campaign. I have a couple ideas to combine LMoP & DoIP. Seeking ideas/advice from everyone on the combination of the two for a group of 3+ starting at level 1. I'm pretty open to several options(multiclassing, Etc..)for the players. All thoughts and ideas are apreciated. I've been on Dm's Guild, just wanted to see if any other ideas are out there.
I'd say the best hook would be with Venomfang, the Young Green Dragon in LMoP. Either Venomfang himself, the cultists attempting to curry his favor, or the Druid that assists the party on their approach could reveal that the reason Venomfang is seeking a new home in Thundertree is because he's escaping the mountains, which have been overtaken by Cryovain.
Dmsguild has an adventure that does just that, called a tale of two dragons, I believe. You can start with either lmop or skip, and it then buffs whichever you do second. Not sure exactly how integrated they are, though, I think it's mostly linear one into the other.
I ran the 2 as a more open world thing, but I will say both adventures are designed to take the characters to level 5/6 so you will need to exponentially increase the difficulty of the encounters as they get stronger, especially if they get to some of the earlier level adventures in DOISP designed for level 1-2 when they are levels 3-4 or higher.

Greetings fellow DM's,
