I use Cardic Inspiration at my table, which is everyone gets a playing card from a standard deck of cards and can use it to raise or lower any d20 roll, with aces being crits and jokers being DM decides.
Anyways, at our last session while we were waiting on the last members to show up, a couple of our players were rolling some of our "Concentration" circlets that go around minis and wrote a scoring system on our battle mat. We turned it into a game, where everyone gets 3 attempts and the highest cumulative score gets a 2nd cardic inspiration for the session (these do not carry over).
With that being said, I liked it so much that I have told the players at the beginning of every session, we will have some mini-game that takes maybe 2 minutes and the winner will get a 2nd card, but I have just realized, I will run out of mini-games soon because I don't want to repeat them lol so any ideas of anything, simple to intricate is fine. I like variety. I don't want it to be tied to their characters, though I will take those suggestions as well, I am looking for more like human mini-game than character mini-game.
You could always play a quick round of Uno or Fluxx.

I have never heard of fluxx, so I will look into that, but I don't want the minigame to take more than 2 minutes on average, uno would be fun, but would take longer than my target time.
