I'm needing a map generator. (preferably free) Any suggestions?
I get a lot of use out of his for dungeon type maps: DunGen
There are a number of options here as well, depending on your needs: D&D Compendium - Maps & Map Tools (dnd-compendium.com)
Talk to your Players. Talk to your DM. If more people used this advice, there would be 24.74% fewer threads on Tactics, Rules and DM discussions.
For creating battlemaps, there are tons of options out there, I use DungeonDraft, which is the one I liked the most. It has a unique style that I like, but it seems that it is also what turns some people away form it. Some of the others I looked into are DungeonFog, Mipui's Map Maker, Dungeon Painter, Dave's Mapper, Tiamat Mapper, DungeonScrawl, RPG Map Maker, and I'm sure there are more 'out there'... I have not yet tried my hands on world-building cartography, but here are a few I found online: https://inkarnate.com/ https://www.wonderdraft.net/ https://www.profantasy.com/products/cc3.asp And one 3D option: https://pixelforest.itch.io/flowscape
