Yeah, I'm still doing the Muppet Misadventures campaign, and I'm having a lot of fun with it! We recently made landfall on Ginger Island, a large island with numerous different biomes and climes, and the party is now Level 5. With Sweetums the Ogre in tow, the gang is trying to fight back against the invasive War Wasps that live in the Crags. The main boss I have planned is the Abeemonation, the developing larva of the new wasp queen. After being rudely awakened by the party destroying hives, I planned for the Abeemonation to chase them through the Crags, minions in tow.
Sadly, I don't know what to do as far as attacks go, as I'm out of ideas. Have any ideas of what attacks the Abeemonation should bring into its big debut?

If it's a typical wasp but larger, I would give her, being a larva, a single big-damage bite attack with piercing and poison (or acid) damage that can inflict the poisoned or paralyzed conditions, or even swallow targets. I'd give her a high STR and CON but low DEX to reflect her larval form.
If you're looking for an exciting mid-fight twist, you could cause her to transform into a massive, full grown abeemonation, complete with a flying speed, a new sting attack, and other features that will keep the party on their toes.
I can only suggest so much, not knowing your plot arc, your monster notes and statblocks for war wasps, or what you've already planned for the encounter, but I hope this advice helped. Good luck!

Panda-wat (I hate my username) is somehow convinced that he is objectively right about everything D&D related even though he obviously is not. Considering that, he'd probably make a great D&D youtuber.

Thanks for the help! I love the mid-fight transformation idea, and I'm definitely going to use that! As for the Abeemonation plot arc, basically the War Wasps are an invasive species on the island that appeared about a year ago, according to Sweetums. They have already asserted their dominance over the creatures of the Crags, and are planning to take over the entirety of Ginger Island, as they face almost no resistance from the local wildlife.
The War Wasps are pretty much just Giant Wasps, but they have more health and can shoot their stingers. I had one idea for the second phase where the Abeemonation machine-gun style launches a volley of stingers, but not much else. For the first phase, maybe it leaves sticky honey behind it?

hmmm, maybe after the queen gets down to quarter health, she calls for every wasp on the island to come and protect her or something and begins to run off and the party has to chase and kill her before the wasps get there or they're pretty much screwed, idk.
Thank you all for your help with the Abeemonation fight! Let's talk about another fight I have planned for the same campaign.
The boss itself is the skeleton of a giant (human), now corrupted by a malevolent cordyceps infection. How the party wins is that they cut off its hand and push it off of a cliff and into the acidic water below. Other than that, I'm fresh out of ideas for this guy, including the name. Any ideas?

well i had a similar design (Giant f*cking skeleton) but he was the bbeg and was some ancient god that was prophesized to bring the end of days upon his awakening

I don't know about your homebrew rules concerning hit location, but perhaps you could modify the giant skeleton? You didn't say how many players you had, so I can't suggest damage values. When hit by a melee attack, the giant's cordyceps could burst and deal poison or acid damage to the attacker. A successful CON save reduces the damage by half. You may also look at plant monsters for inspiration, especially when it comes to spores.

depending on how big the skelly man is he could have an aoe attack by swinging his limbs around in an arc (kinda like a kick or chop)
Multiattack can handle this. The monster I posted doesn't have to swing its giant scimitar three times, but hit three different creatures with the same swing. Sure, it can still attack the same creature three times, but that can be explained by a more powerful hit that takes more time to charge (slow heavy hit compared to quick light hits). And if it's moving to hit multiple creatures in a row that aren't next to each other, it can be described as the monster swinging once in a large arc while charging forward. As long as the game mechanics don't change, you can narrate what's happening differently. It makes things more interesting this way.
