Hey guys, I've been planning some future stuff for my group, and through joking with a friend that also DM's came up with the idea that my group will run into a Hill Giant that is going to try and keep my Gnome warlock like this scene from our favourite cartoon of old. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jPdHaNr0OAY
Just wondering if some of the more experienced DM's out there had advice or ideas on this, as well as possibly making this a recurring theme where things want to keep the Gnome.
Lol I like the idea! If this were in my campaign, I would make it to wear any large creature (That has an intelligence higher than 4 and a language) would always say something about the gnome. Don't make it the exact same thing every time where the large dude only goes after the gnome and tries to keep him, that could get old and also may make the player feel like he's being unnecessarily targeted due to his character choice.
One encounter he could try to keep the gnome, the other encounter he sees the gnome and on each of its turns in combat he says something about the gnome, the next time maybe the large guy offers money in exchange for some "company" however you want to take that lol maybe another time, a guy has a collection of gnomes in his cave and offers the party to trade one of his gnomes for the party's gnome lol just random stuff like this will work.
After a few of these encounters, try not to make them drag on too long, unless your party gets super into it each time. It's very situational! Hope this helped!

As a general rule, players don't like feeling powerless. As long as you can add some comedic value it should be alright though.
