Figured this would be a good tool for any GM. Say your fleshing out NPCs but not quite sold on the idea. Post them here and let your fellow GM’s help fine tune the idea.
Fareeda Jhamsheed Abbas is an Oathbreaker Paladin and ship captain obsessed with finding the Island-fish which cost her (a leg? arm? not entirely sure...), and Armand is the Waforged Grave Cleric first mate. They've got functions in the story, but I'm already bored of them because they've got no personality...
Fareeda Jhamsheed Abbas is an Oathbreaker Paladin and ship captain obsessed with finding the Island-fish which cost her (a leg? arm? not entirely sure...), and Armand is the Waforged Grave Cleric first mate. They've got functions in the story, but I'm already bored of them because they've got no personality...
Couple establishing questions: what Oath did Fareeda break, and why? How did Armand, who doesn't age and might never die, become dedicated to a god with a Grave domain? (Also, how's Armand's partially metal body holding up to all that sea air?)
A NG unnamed prince of a human kingdom who has his soul tethered to a demon; The prince can hear it in his head and sees its projection so he considers the demon his imaginary friend. The demon takes the form of a child to not scare him.
The cause of the tethering is a rival of the king using forbidden knowledge to preform said ritual.
now the boy and demon can swap places on the material plane, when they do the current driver controls the shift. The boy considers this a super power and patrols at night looking for crime to stop, only it goes terribly wrong each time ending with the demon apologizing and manipulating the scene into a way to paint the picture in a light that makes the child think he was doing good. Slaying the demon will banish the child to abyss. The demon is aware, child doesn’t know, and the demon uses this knowledge as a defense mechanism against threats he can’t solo.
where I draw the line is this is definitely a campaign hook more than a NPC in my opinion. Any good characters would want ti untether them but in my head magic above a wish spell did this so a cure isn’t even in the table yet.
