One of the things I've added to my games since the introduction of the Artificer is shops that sell mundane items with positive effects or low-level magical upgrades. Most of these are not something you would use unless you hit the Exploration pillar of play a lot but my parties sometimes use them:
1) Camping gear with a bonus to Survival skill, the cost going up based on the bonus. Anything +3 or higher shows up as magical to Detect Magic.
2) Mundane items like wooden poles and ropes with the Enlarge spell cast on them to make them bigger/longer a certain number of times a day.
3) Clothing designed to grant bonuses to Athletics/climbing or Stealth rolls (again, anything +3 or higher shows up as magical).
My questions are; how would you price something like this if they were buying it and how long would it take for a PC with the proper skills to make it?
I may double or tripple items price to represent better quality material and/or craftmanship. I'd use rules for Crafting Equipment as a baseline and adjust where i see fit.
Time: To determine how many days (working 8 hours a day) it takes to make an item, divide its purchase cost in GP by 10 (round a fraction up to a day).
yeah. I think you should *2.5 the price, and MAYBE requiers specalty ingredients for crafting
