While it's fun to see how much the game has changed since 1981 (like the value of gold!), it's especially interesting to discover the bits of color and detail written by the original designers of the adventure that were omitted from the 5e version. Like: How did the Alchemist in the Haunted House die?

I loved the original and ran it when it first came out. I also updated it to 5th edition (all three modules) about 3 years ago to run a party through on Roll20. It was pretty cool to see how close I got to what they actually implemented for 5e. Great story!
