Reading the Player's Guide, AL_PGv10_3, my understanding is that the most gold I can earn in a single Tier 1 session is 80 GP. Does this mean that if I had 20 GP from character creation and earned 80 GP in my first Tier 1 session that I now have 100 GP? If I earn another 80 GP in my second Tier 1 session do I now have 180 GP?
The way I read the Player's Guide seems to be that, yes, I accumulate the gold. The total is only affected by any gold I spent during down time to better equip my character. So, for example, I started with 20 GP and earned 80 GP for a total of 100 GP at the end of the first Tier 1 session. Then, during down time before the second session, I bought 75 GP worth of equipment (additional weapon, whatever). Do I now have 25 GP headed into session two?
Next, magic items. If a reward is given to all players at the end of a session, say a Healing Potion, I understand that every character gets one. But what about items found during the adventure. Say the group comes across a consumable. Does every character get one? Or, is there just the one of them and we have to decide which character will get the item? My understanding from the Player's Guide is that we have to decide who gets the item. Is that correct?
Lastly, am I correct to understand that any character can have any number of consumable items but that there is a hard limit on the number on non-consumable magic items that the character can have (based on the Tier level). So, whether the item must be bound to the character or not, my Tier 1 character can only have one non-consumable magic item. Is that right? Also, if it is an item with charges (say a scroll or a wand) and I use up all the charges, it still counts against my limit until I get a new item to replace it. Is that also correct?
I'm assuming the reason for that (if it is correct) is to ensure that every player without a non-consumable magic item gets a chance to have one before I can trade off my worn out item. Do I understand that correctly?
The answer to all your money questions is: yes. You understand it.
Consumable magic items (including healing potions, unless I missed something) have to be divided and not everyone may get one.
Scrolls are consumables and don't count toward magic item limit. Magic items with charges do count, even if they run out of charges (though replacing it with or without charges is identical so that doesn't matter). Most items with charges recover them over time, but you act like the item is useless after.
When a permanent magic item is found, EVERYONE has the opportunity to take it, and multiple people can take it. There is no waiting in line. If 4 level 1s unlock a +1 quarterstaff, 4 level 2s have a +1 quarterstaff next session.

Thank you! You have been very helpful in all of my questions. I appreciate it.
