So I've been thinking (A dangerous pastime) About D&D Adaptions. My brother loves Avatar: The Last Airbender, and I was thinking how could I make Avatar in D&D and make D&D exciting for him. I've added 5 new classes, each with Subclasses. They are as follows. With Class first, Subclasses next.
Fire Bender: Combustion Bending - Lightning Bending - Master Fire Bender
Air Bender: Spiritual Connection - Master Air Bender.

I've been sorting spells from the Players Handbook and Xanathar's Guild into spells that relate to Bendings, Avatar, and not related at all. I will have to make some more to balance out spell numbers. (Ideas on spells to make for bendings?) I will make creatures that exist in the world, but because Aang and his friends don't really fight monsters, but people, such as fire benders, or fire soldiers, I'm going to design NPC stats for them.
Advice on making the classes, the npcs, and the spells?
One thing you shouldn't do is just change the damage type of spell and call it new. That's not a fun spell. Instead, you should make sure that every new spell has at least one thing that's unique or is rarely used. Make them interesting, and your players will like them.

All stars fade. Some stars forever fall. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Homebrew (Mostly Outdated):Magic Items,Monsters,Spells,Subclasses ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If there was no light, people wouldn't fear the dark.
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past, I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone, there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
This is all great, I think it's an amazing idea. For waterbending though it would be nice to have healing or plant-bending as subclasses, and I personally think sand-bending would be nice at earth too.
Came to this thread thinking someone was trying to make a Sci Fi adaptation of DnD involving blue aliens, clones and a wonderfully named ore on the back of the upcoming film release :).

There is a really good dmgs product which tried to adapt Avatar to 5e, might be a good source of inspiration at least

You can actually give that kind of a story without changing the classes and instead use the druid class as the base.

This is some pretty good stuff

As I said. Hmmmmm
What about a swampbending subclass? That would be cool!
Has anyone created homebrew for this sites classes? https://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/World_of_Avatar:_The_Last_Airbender_(5e_Campaign_Setting)
