Hey so i have a campaign/ world set up to where each country is a campaign. The world is set up to have each country represent a seven sin. once they defeat all the monsters causing havoc in the country's to reveal they will fight the final boss in the celestial plane. Just trying to figure out how to write a good questline. I want them to be able to free roam and have side quests and such but i also want them to have a good main questline. Starting country is the sin of greed
Edit.
I'm wanting each campaign to be 15-16 weeks to get through. The main end boss is going to be the true creators.
After Defeating the sins they will find out the truth that there is a celestial war against the court of 7 and the gods. The court of 7, who summoned them are the original gods who are servants of the creators Hanga & Mate'. They created Vaxiya as a prison for souls filled with sin. They wanted the galaxy to be free of sin so they sent all they wayward souls to Vaxiya. After the court realized the wrong they had committed, they noticed the world of Vaxiya is in chaos and will destroy itself. In order for the should of this world to be free the creators must be destroyed.
The main bosses are meant to be the nexus of sin. They are the true cause for sin in the country. For each country I want to do a different demon lord or Boss monster. I want to mix it up. I'm trying to figure out right now how to START the campaign, like first quest wise. The starting minions are a rogue group of local thieves guild who are actually contracted to someone whos a minion of the starting boss.
Hi, my name is Muria (Mariah) I'm a DM to an anime-based campaign of 5. I am personally running a level 3 moon elf (high elf) ranger named Azura Fell. Azura was part of the moon elf tribe and was has an amazing sense of humor. Working on a second Druid character.
Dragons. Each Dragon is one of the Sins. But what is pulling the strings of the Dragons? And what minions is each one using to control it's territory (or country, though why would the Seven boundries be exactly the same)?
Demon lords and their associated monsters are also pretty easy to build around for this. Gnolls and Gnoll Witherlings leading into Yeenoghu related demons would be a good start for Gluttony.
How long are you planning each campaign to be? Could it be scaled down from countries to counties or to sectors within a city (think ff7, hunger games etc)
only reason I suggest this is that the size and scope of what you are suggesting is a lot and you run the risk of each country becoming a little hollow.
so in DC comics Shazam you have the 7 deadly sins that are imprisoned on the rock of eternity and find ways to escape causing no end of trouble for Captain Marvel (Shazam).
I would Steal whole heartedly from that - build to a final battle within a floating Rock prison dungeon crawl on the celestial plane.

Well generally speaking, the best place to start something like this is indirectly, via some other event. Maybe the local rogue group steals something from the party during a drunken tavern night and the party goes to get it back. After clearing out a small den of thieves, they find another thing that hooks them on the main adventure. Maybe a map or a letter, or even an item with instructions tied to it.
